I was looking for a pet salon in the area that would be able to accept a walk-in on a Saturday morning (which I understand is very difficult to find). I spoke with Shannon and she was able to fit sweet Alfie in for an appointment. The process went so smoothly. She discussed what we should groom prior to the appointment - along with explaining dog’s nail growth, mats, etc… All of the staff were so friendly! They even called me 15 min before his expected pickup time. As you can see by the before and after photos we trimmed him up a lot. Definitely a needed haircut. He smells really good and his coat is so soft. They mentioned that they use an oatmeal shampoo. I will definitely use them as a groomer in the future.

I normally don’t write reviews, actually this is the first once I’ve ever written. I’ve been taking my dog, Bobbi, to Elliote’s for 3 years now. We started going during Covid and have continued since. I will say I’m a picky pet parent and very peculiar. I got my dog as senior (8yr, now 11) and wanted find him a place I could trust. When I found Elliote’s I was very excited as I loved they required vaccines outside of rabies for pets to be groomed; this was a very important part for me.Since my first visit they have been extremely professional and caring to my boy, honestly treating him as their own. It’s to the point he loves getting in the car to get his spa day. He always comes out looking fresh and fluffy! Shout out to his groomer Jenna as she is amazing! I just took him in to get groomed today and expressed concerns about his hair thinning as he’s never had this issue. I’m still waiting his bloodwork results to see if he has a thyroid issue. She also agreed and expressed equal concern. After our conversation I put my complete trust into Jenna, and as always, he came back looking great and his coat didn’t look thin at all!!I’ve also recently been bring my other dog Duchess, who is also a rescue (1 yr) and is very shy. She loves going for her baths and Linda treats her amazing! She always picks out the most fashionable bandanas for her.Overall, I’m very grateful for these guys and my pups are as well. I also don’t mind them being cash only.

I have been taking my poodle-bischon mix to Elliotte’s for several years now. Elliotte always does a fantastic job grooming him, and Linda and Jenna do great with his baths in between cuts! He always comes out looking so fluffy and handsome. Even more importantly though, the whole staff there take care to keep him calm during his appointments. My dog gets distressed when crated but somehow Elliotte’s always manages to keep him calm! At other groomers my dog would paw at the cage until he bloodied his paw, but through careful planning and handling that has not been a problem here. Five stars for the talented and kind staff! We will be customers for life.

I am very happy to have found Elliott pet spa. He was referred to me when I called another groomer Pam and she told me that she was not accepting new clients and happily mentioned Elliott pet spa as an alternative. I live in west Cary which is more than 30 minutes drive from the spa but because of my bad experience from a previous groomer, I value the quality of grooming too much to care how long I need to drive to have my poodle professionally groomed.I arrived at spa and was greeted warmly by receptionist and Elliott himself. He is very friendly and very detail oriented and asked what kind of looks I wanted and explained the plans of what he would do with facial hair, ear, body and paws. I came back in the afternoon to pick up my poodle and was more than thrilled to see how well she has been groomed. She looked even cuter than I expected.Thanks Elliott for your professionalism and warmth. Keep up the good work!

Best cat groomer we have had so far! They did everything we asked and did the perfect Lion cut! Super kind staff. They even gave him a cute little bow tie! They do have dogs but they scheduled us at a quiet hour and had a separate area for him. I highly recommend them if your kitty needs help with their mats/fur! Our old cat groomer moved, and I’m so happy I found them!

We absolutely love taking our high-energy labradoodle to this place. Everyone we go to is phenomenal, and the whole place has a good balance of no-nonsense and empathy for our pup. They always finish in the time promised, with the grooming discussed — and they always share the final cost when calling us to notify us our dog is ready, which is helpful. We love them!

Elliotte's Pet Spa is a amazing place to bring your pets. They did such a wonderful job with my dog. It's reasonably priced. They get done in a timely manner. Just to be aware that this is cash only. You will not regret your decision on coming here. The staff is amazing. It shows how much they love animals.

Great first experience with Elliotte's earlier this week.They bathed and groomed my 60-lb, female, long-furred dog for me.They took really good care of my dog, and she looks and feels wonderful. And she doesn't smell perfumy.I was very happy with their services and will be a repeat customer.

We've been bringing our 2 Samoyeds to Elliotte's for years. Linda always does a wonderful job with them and the pups are never afraid to come back. They are always clean, dry, tangle-free, and smelling great at pickup! The staff is super friendly and the facility has a great setup. We tried another groomer years ago but Elliotte's consistently does the best job so we have been loyal customers since late 2018/early 2019.

I took my 2 Lhashas to Elliotte's for years. They were wonderful then, and now 3 years later, with my mini sheepadoodle, they are still wonderful. He is a pup, so he is getting used to noises and people. They suggested a puppy groom in which they bathed, trimmed paws, around his eyes and butt. He did great and was very excited! I would suggest if you have a grooming appointment, then make another while you're there. Great groomers. Sweet atmosphere and dogs are well taken care of!!

Our first time at Elliotte’s and we are so happy!Our third groomer since we moved. So I was so excited to see how kind and gentle they were with our Myrrh from the get go. It really allowed me to feel good instantly about leaving Myrrh in their care.The cut was exceptional and the Pom Poms in the ears were a delightful surprise. I am extremely disappointed with Elliotte's Pet Spa & Salon.We tried Elliotte's for the first time because our preferred groomer moved to a new location much farther away from us. Compared to the service, price, and experience we are used to, Elliotte's overall is terrible.My dog still feels dirty and smells bad as if he was not bathed as part of the $160 service. This cost is $70 more than we typically pay and it took twice as long for the actual service, so we were expecting MUCH better. Now I have a dog with a bad cut that still smells.Finally, as a heads up, this is a cash only business.

Today was my Miniature Schnauzer's first time at Elliotte's. Jenna did an amazing job with Braden! All staff was very welcoming this morning when we dropped our little guy off. Braden is 15 years old and can be somewhat difficult when being groomed. It has been a while since Braden's last grooming because we have had trouble finding someone willing to work with him. He went in this morning with long, curly, and matted hair. He is completely shaved down now and I know he feels so much better. We will most definitely be back. They did an amazing job with my dog!!! We took our 1 year old sheltie Feiona here, for a teeth cleaning, gland expressing, nails, downcoat removal, bath and hair clip. The price was easily the best at only $42 for all of that because the stylist explained she didn't have much down coat left to remove so he didn't charge us for that. Honesty and trust is the first thing I look for in a groomer and that immediately put me at ease. The best part was my dogs reaction after we came to pick her up. As she's leaving, she runs to each of the stylists wagging her tail and showing how happy and comfortable she was with everybody there as they pet her goodbye. Every other groomer I've taken my dog to, my dog would come back shaking, scared and flinching or acting as if they drugged her up. But not here. I gave a good sized tip as well as this is the kind of place I take my dog to once every month or two. Will defintely be back as I'm making this my primary groomer from now on.

The groomer did a great job on our long-haired cat, whose fur is very thick and was beginning to mat. Able to bathe and brush out the mats, so we were able to avoid shaving. Also discussed a regular grooming schedule so as to avoid mats in the future. Will definitely go back.

Great dog groomer in Durham! I take my dog here every couple months for a thorough bath and nail filing/grinding and they always do a great job. Staff are very nice and friendly. They do book up fast so it's good to schedule well in advance. Also note that they only take cash/check.

Update: I left a review 5 years ago when our family's first two dogs (now both passed) went on a rare occasion to Elliotte's. Today, in 2023 I would give Elliotte's 10 stars if I could. Our second dog, Molly, decided she needed to have a half pyr/half husky fuzzboy, Autumn, instead of the short-haired hound mixes we kept introducing her to. Unfortunately, we were not well-versed in double-coat life-- his coat requires a lot of maintenance just to prevent him from experiencing pain and discomfort. On top of that, Autumn had a traumatizing grooming experience when he was brought in by the rescue. We've been working for years with him on being able to tolerate brushing at home. Let's just say Linda is a miracle worker with large breeds who are prone to matting. She's exceptionally talented. We now take both of our double-coated dogs to Elliotte's every 4 weeks like clockwork. And of course, we love James and Elliotte and crew! Everyone is great... feels like a little family of people who really get it when it comes to the human-canine bond.Here's my review from 5 years ago: I almost cried when I picked my dogs up from Elliotte’s. That’s what a positive experience and relief it was! James took extra special care with our 15 year old 75 lb hound mix who has spondylosis and mitral valve disease. His hind legs sink when he stands because he’s losing feeling in his hind quarters, so it had become exceedingly difficult to bathe him at home. Adding to that, he’s an anxious dog who is becoming warier by the day of people—especially men— who he doesn’t know. To my surprise, he fell in love with James the second they met. James got down on the floor with Ben to wash him, and miraculously was even able to use the dremel on his nails. We also brought our 6 year old St. Bernard mix who has off-the-charts allergies. They used the shampoo we brought plus a special conditioner with highest quality ingredients (I looked at the bottle). My dogs were literally as soft as down feathers. I was so happy (as I’m sure our dogs were too) that they didn’t smell of perfumes. Aside from the magic James worked on my dogs, Elliotte was extremely informative and accommodating when I first called to inquire. I was really nervous about taking our dogs to someone else and leaving them for the afternoon. Elliotte assured me that they have a number of senior dogs with various ailments. Hearing about Ben’s nervous disposition, he found a day that was less busy when there wouldn’t be a lot of other animals around. He also made sure to keep my buddies right next to each other where they could see and smell each other the whole time. I’m so relieved that we found a solution that works for not justbour senior dog, but our other one as well. I originally brought the younger one for Ben’s moral support, but she is still so clean and soft a week later that I think I’ll be bringing her back too. Thank you so much James and Elliotte! You two are miracle workers!

I would like to say a huge Thank You to Elliotte and to Linda for taking such excellent care of my babies. My Lexi Lu looks forward to Ms Linda’s pampering and when I pick her up she smells and looks so good! Now Diva Bella won’t let anyone touch her, but Elliotte has won this queens heart and allows him to pamper her and even allows him to give her a Brazilian shave. They both come home looking and smelling wonderful! I would recommend them to anyone that is looking to have your animal pampered. Love them!Thanks Elliotte and Linda
