This is a small gem of an aquarium shop in a rural area. I have been a customer since its roots in a tiny shed across the street from its current location. A wide selection of fish, plants, aquariums, and all the supplies you need. They are responsive to customer needs and it is a pleasant place to shop. Prices are very reasonable and competitive. Great place of business and worth the slight detour off the main roads.

One of my favorite places. Fish are always well cared for, clean, and the Taylor’s are all such wonderful and knowledgeable people. They don’t push anything on you and are more than happy to answer your questions. If they don’t carry certain things they are happy to order it for you. They also support local breeders by purchasing from them for their in store stock as well. Since I found them I haven’t purchased a single fish anywhere else.

In the past year this “little gem” has become my favorite little store for all of my fish needs. This locally owned, family run business has all of the hallmarks of the kind of store where you WANT to stop in just to chat! Mr Taylor is always accommodating, never rushes you or pressures you, and will readily admit if/when he doesn’t have an answer (which is rare). His granddaughter also works hard to help customers when she is present, and was so gracious with my overly excited 6 year old wanting to “help” while we were there. Wouldn’t trade this shop for any of the “box stores” for any reason!

Looks very much like a run-down, deserted convenience store from the outside, but inside is an awesome little fish store with a magnificent owner. The selection of fish is good for such a small location. The owner is super nice and extremely helpful. If he doesn't have what you're looking for, then he will get it for you. We have a 100 gallon freshwater aquarium that we've owned for over 15 years. Taylor's has everything you need for an aquarium from tanks and gravel to decorations and cleaners. We will continue shopping here for all our aquarium needs in the future.

Today was my first visit. We drive from Fayetteville, which is not far, but totally worth the drive. You can tell they care about their fishies. The tanks look good, stock looks healthy. Plus, the staff seemed very friendly. This is now my go to fish store!!!!!

I don’t know how I stumbled across this amazing place but I’m so glad I did! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and taught me so much on my first visit, they have a beautiful selection, I feel like my questions weren’t just answered but explained in a way that made me feel welcomed to ask even more questions! I was also very surprised by the selection of tanks for fish because I initially didn’t plan on buying a fish but I’m already home making space for a tank, not to mention I was also taught about the importance of filtering and adding bubblers for aesthetics and oxygenation as well as the way to help my tank thrive with plants if I wanted to enhance the appearance of my tank when I’m ready!

I just stopped in here after some good comments from local customers. It is a quaint little shop in the country, with great customer service and the essentials. I was happy to find my regular needs of prime and stability in stock and a good variety of fish available from freshwater to a small salt water section. There were a few items for reptiles if you are in a pinch aswell.I was looking for something a bit different than what they offered, as far as fish, but they took my number and requests and will call me if/when they can order it for me. Really nice option since some things are not the easiest to find.I look forward to more trips to this shop in the future.In response to other comments about it being dirty and the rodents being injured/dead: I did pay close attention because of those comments but everything was clean and well kept.Everyone has off days but today was not one of them. I highly recommend you take a look here and let them know if you want something they don't have. They are 100% willing to try and get it for you.

Excellent Aquarium Store Out in the Country !!!Dunn, NC address,,, but Google and I found it just off Highway 13.I drove up from West Fayetteville via the New I-295 straight into Hwy.13,,,David Taylor the Owner was just the Greatest Help,,, Very Pleasant,,, Most Informative !!!Better personal service,,, Better Prices than the Chain Stores.I bought $100.00+ in fish and I will be back for more !!!

I love this place! It’s the best local fish store near me and the owner is always really nice and helpful. I definitely prefer to buy fish here than from a big box pet store. There’s usually a good selection of fish, aquarium supplies, and other pet stuff. Every time I have been, the store is clean and the animals look well taken care of.

Mr.Taylor’s is the ONLY place I will buy fish from. The tanks are clean, the fish are very happy and healthy. I have never had any fish to die from his store. He will also check your fish tank water if you bring it in. Mr.Taylor’s is the only place I go ❤️❤️

Drove from Dunn hoping to purchase a Fan Tail from this place. Says they're open til 4 pm. Here I am at 3:08 and they're closed. Phone calls unanswered as well. Dang, I don't want to drive to Fayetteville. 😑

Walked in to check out the store, my family loves aquatic animals. We observed a mouse with a hole in it, dirty tanks, and a dirty store. How this place had such a high rating online is beyond us. Must be the people who think its okay to put a betta in an unfiltered bowl and a goldfish in a 5gal aquarium. Wish I had taken more pictures but here's what I mean. Lord have mercy on those poor pets.

Wonderful place, wonderful man. I am lucky enough to live just down the street from this place. Don't let the back-wood, out in the sticks where the place is fool you. Very knowledgeable man, go to him to check water and get fish all the time. Some things are a little bit pricier, but would rather spend an extra dollar or two on a $50.00 order and support local business then go to Corporate America. Especially when the person gives all the info you want for free. Currently setting up a 75 gallon tank, and he is the go to person for me.

Dirty dirty dirty. Fish had fungus, labels crumbling, peeling off bottles due to being old, dust and filth. they sell fish..rats..household cleaning supplies, snacks. I cant belive this place is even open. Awful. There was a large dead frog in a saltwater tank. Must have jumped in and no one took it out. Obviously had been there a few days from the looks if it.

I buy about 5 fish every time I visit. I can't resist. He has a good variety of guppies and salt and freshwater fish. When I contacted him before even going to the store and told him what I was looking for. He had that fish in stock on my 2nd visit.he always tries to get me anything I need for my aquariums. He didn't usually carry my size filters because they are uncommon. He offered to start ordering them. It is a bit of a drive for me to get anywhere. So, when he can make my shopping one stop, that will keep me around and make my life easier. I used to use PetSmart but I think where I go, went under new management. Their fish were sick and got my fish sick. I told them and they did nothing about it. I followed up for weeks. Still new guppies in the tanks with finrot. So I will not be going there anymore. With Taylors the guppies are bigger, healthier, colors are brighter, and I have only lost 1 out of about 15 fish die from Taylor's. At PetSmart I was getting a refund everytime I went back. I have 5 fish out of about 20 that I have lived from PetSmart. This area doesn't have a lot of options. Taylor will help you with anything you need. If he can get his hands on it he will get it for you. Good man

Little heaven on earth!! A 2 hour drive well worth it. The fish are very well kept and look very healthy not a single dead on bottom. A passionate fish keeper owns the place and makes you feel like you are an old friend. For sure will be back again.

Mr. Taylor is the best. We have have done business with Mr. Taylor for years... very honest and helpful! We have transitioned over to saltwater tanks and are enjoying learning so many new things. Dirty fish tanks, dirty mice cages, dirty bird cages. There was a mouse there with a finger sized wound. The cage was too small. Even if they're prey feed they still need to be treated with dignity and respect. This is the kind of person that dosent care about animals and just care about the $$. Its a real shame when people try to go out and support small businesses. But I have never seen petsmart tanks as dirty as theirs.

The owner Mr. Taylor i presume was very knowledgeable and helpful. I saw no floating fish in many many tanks. Prices are very fair, and you can tell he loves what he does.
