So many beautiful plants! You'll definitely fall in love with a plant to take home... or two or three! Owners are so friendly and knowledgeable, and helpful. Always offer to carry plants to the register and help load them up. Little hole-in-the-wall mom and pop stop, a true hidden gem. Tons of trending tropicals, houseplants, succulents and cacti, biggest selection of bougainvillea. Beautiful annuals also. The location seems small but it's jam packed full of goodies, and they also said they have a separate greenhouse within minutes of the store. If you're passing through definitely stop in!

I stopped by the Purple Pepper while vacationing in NC and fell in love with the brightly painted fun little flower shop. Since then I have visited many times and there has always been something new to see and a fun new plant to collect. Recently I adopted a cute little philo to go with a larger variegated cousin whom I have had for years. He has taken quite well to his home and this happy little guy is bringing more life into my living space. The local shop owner is quite knowledgeable about all the plants and can make great recommendations for almost any space. From full sun outdoors to very low light basements there is something for everyone.

Great little place to get plants. I live in Wilmington, this place is just a short drive, but so worth it. The staff is very knowledgable and helpful. I have a few places in my house that needed "the right plants" for the amount of sun I get. These girls helped me find a couple plants the are working out great!

This place is a gem! Just a quick drive from Wilmington and this adorable little place has some of the coolest most unique plants I’ve ever seen. Crystal is super knowledgeable about everything in the store, ultimate plant mama! Good job guys I love this place!

I have been wanting to stop in for quite a while. In spite of the rainy weather today, we made a special trip for the European Palm I've been wanting Forever!!!! Great customer service, they took the time to discuss best choice of palm - which happens to be Exactly What I wanted!!!!! Explained care tips for palm to establish & even carried it out & loaded it up too!! I've been looking around & price was reasonable as well!!!! Thanks Purple Pepper for a Great Experience!!!!! I Am Super Excited of My choice of purchase!!!!

Honestly very disappointed with this place. I was out there Friday for the sale they're having and bought a few more expensive plants (ive spent over a thousand dollars here altogether). I talked with 2 women there about how my girlfriend was coming the next day to get some more and asked if the painted ladies would still be there so she can pick one out and she promised they would be. When my girlfriend drove 45 minutes out there she found the one she liked and went to purchase but they told her they were no longer available and took a bunch of the other plants she wanted away from the sales area. We've been coming here for years but yesterday was my last time for sure.It doesn't allow me to reply so I'll say it here, you're just straight up wrong. She asked 4 times why it wasn't available and she wouldn't tell her why. I appreciate the fact you admit your word doesnt mean much. You're taking a huge loss because you admitted to me that you have been neglecting the plants for a while because you bought over a thousand mums. That's how it works.Also the woman that was walking around told me the plant I bought was a varigated Swiss cheese (Monstera A.) when it was actually a varigated epipremnum pinnatum.And instead of admitting where you were wrong, you try to shift blame but after looking at your other bad reviews it seems to be your go to. We don't have an etsy business lol nor have we ever thought of starting one we just enjoy having plants all over our home. Also it's unreal that you're so upset that one of your employees GAVE me a cutting from HER personal plant that I didn't even ask for! She offered because she has a heart of gold. Sad to know she's working for someone that can't take accountability for their mistakes. You have no idea how much business we have sent your way but glad you've shown your true colors and now we can tell everyone to stay far away. Thanks 😊

Best place around!!! I LOVE this place. Best prices, beautiful plants, so many to choose from. And the customer service makes it even better. Every time I have been here they have been so friendly and HELPFUL. And the main gal running the place, you can tell she loves what she does! They give you tips, they tell you how to care for your plants and will even give you recommendations if you don’t know what to buy. If you have not visited, you should!

They always have healthy plants and nice arrangements for both indoor and outdoor gardens and competitive prices. Best selection of Bougainvillea anywhere. Have great selection of most popular flowers, bushes, and trees plus hard to find items like a Chaste tree that we bought this week. They currently have an interesting selection of cactus and air plants for indoor gardens. They always have good selection of nice glazed pots. Have been customers there for years, always very satisfied and will keep coming back!

I had the opportunity to visit with Ms. Debra Wagner and she is so lovely. I stopped in on my drive back to Wilmington and I'm so glad that I did!The pink Azalea bushes were already in full bloom! I bought some for my front lawn and Debra was so happy to explain the proper care.The nursery also offers many other items like "fairy gardens" and handmade crafts and ceramics. The shop is moderate size and is priced fairly.I found most items even low priced, in comparison to other shops I've visited!She is a wonderful woman and you will enjoy your conversation. She was happy to answer all my questions. I most certainly, will stop by again!

Asking either of the owners for additional information about the plants gave a genuine feeling they were put off and not interested in being there. The woman wouldn't even maintain eye contact while speaking, what she was working on was more important. Totally different vibe from what I'm used to where the staff go out of their way to find the answers to your question. And it wasn't generalized questions either it was I'm literally checking out and buying this plant and want to know how to care for it. Disappointing when you're spending over $200.The selection wasn't awful, it's kind of a smaller place. If you're local and don't have any questions or happen to be driving by it's worth checking out but unfortunately I won't be going out of my way to visit again.

I am so glad this place is by my sister's house near Wilmington I go every time I visit her!!! This is such a gem of a nursery not only are the prices amazing but so are the quality of plants she offers. You can tell love was put into them as well as a homemade plant food which is AMAZING!!!!!

I love this place. They have plants here that are native to North Carolina, they are priced super reasonably and are stop knowledgeable about things. Debbie one of the owners is always eager to answer questions and help with your planting needs. They also have beautiful gifts t hat are inexpensive and unique. I recommend this to anyone for their gardening needs. The Bougonvelia is the prettiest with more unique colors available than I have ever seen.

A multigenerational family owned business that has a good variety of plants including those not typically found at big box stores. Has a cool pond area behind their main building, and we look forward to coming back on a regular basis when they start having classes and other activities.
