Love this place!! all kinds of unusual items and well stocked even in the off season.Kudos to Joe D , Danny and Skylar ( who also works at the Starbucks) for always being friendly and helpful! If you want cheap prices go to FoodLion but if you want more variety, this is the place.No shade on Food Lion - they are awesome too - just different.

The store seems clean and well stocked but don't go there 20 minutes before they close because they'll be harassing you every minute letting you know many minutes before they close. Also, don't trust the posted closing time. Tonight they closed at 8 pm. When I arrived I was told they were closing soon, and then they continued to harass shoppers every minute or so with an overhead announcement. It is hard to find things in the store and there were no offers to help locate items. They closed the full service checkout early, leaving a long line at self checkout, because they only left 2 of the self checkouts open. It seems they'd rather harass shoppers than assisting them in getting in and out quickly. I found Billy very rude, and obnoxious. I've had a very satisfying experience shopping at the Food Lion in Corolla. that's where I would go next time!

I don't think she's going to like it... I was so excited to order this cake for my sister's birthday, and I panicked when we picked it up. We called in to ensure that we could pick up the cake at 5 p.m., since we couldn't make it in sooner, and the bakery closes at 4 p.m., so they were SUPER kind to accommodate us (an extra star for the kindness).But when we picked up the cake, my mom and I were saddened. It wasn't what we ordered, and it was a mess. We ordered a pastel pink cake with green pastel light and dark palm leaves, as shown on the tag.What we got was a solid white cake with brown crumbs mixed into the icing, bright green and dark green some-kind-of leaves, and unmixed two-tone pink decor that covers some leaves and skips others. The decorator may have been new, as the writing is also gappy and messy in places.We purchased the cake as it was because we didn't have time to order another, and the bakery was closed. But as we were checking out, my mom told me, "I wish we ordered from Food Lion." I wish we did, too.I am sorry to write this review, but I'm so saddened by the outcome of the cake, and I really don't want to give it to my sister tomorrow. My thoughtful idea now looks like I didn't try at all (when I actually planned ahead and placed my order on April 23) and got a slapped-together cake.I won't discourage anyone from ordering a cake here, but I would say I hope you have better luck than we did.

This is a lovely place to shop while we're at the beach. Even when it is busy it's really not a bad place to shop. The self checkout is pretty quick to get in to checkout and leave. You can easily park your bike by either door and shopping trips are usually fairly quick. They have a nice selection of items and a large produce area. This is definitely an ideal place to shop for food while in the Outer Banks.

As of this writing HT is in a reduced stock mode for the off season. We were looking for a few things for our Christmas eve dinner, nope, seafood is very very limited. Bring it with you or try KH. All self check-out only.

Very minimal selection of nearly every product. Typically, I joke about the confusion of too many choices. Not here. Several items not stocked or only one choice.

They have a great selection for the location it is in. I cant seem then transitioning to Kroger pretty soon. The isles are so small, and there are usually so many people. Staff does a good job of keeping the lines moving along

I love having Harris Teeter as an option when I visit the Outer Banks. I ordered my daughter a birthday cake for pick up the day we arrived from PA. Not only was it ready when requested, but it was also beautiful. Then we cut into ot and oh my, it was delicious!

Wonderful store ! Great selections of just about anything you could need while here for your vacation cooking needs. The only disappointment here was the staff. Only encountered two. Both were young and one was clearly inexperienced. Biggest problem with them was they were quite rude. Otherwise I'd of marked this place 5*. Good thing I only have to deal with that for the week.

Listed store hours on Google are inaccurate. They have a paper sign on their doors stating their new store hours as of September 5 are 7am-10pm. Wish they would have updated their hours on here, it would have saved us 40 minutes of driving total.

Very nice people. Well laid out store. Set up mostly for tourists though, so doesn't have a lot of Gen merchandise that isn't specific to laying on the beach.

Very busy on the weekend, but well stocked and worth the trip.Update Jun 24: Very nice store. Helpful staff. Well stocked shelves. Considering the volume of people using the store, particularly impressive. Prices, although high, are not excessive. Weekends during the summer can be claustrophobic, but the cashiers tend to be efficient and get people through quickly.

The price for a 12 pack of coke was $9.99 a pack. Went to food lion and got 2 for $11. They didn't have a good variety of fast and easy meals. Had to go back to food lion

This Harris Teeter looks very new. The layout and setup are about the usual for any one of the stores which is nice because you always know where to find things. The only thing I can say i really had issue with was finding the items I came into the store to purchase. The store seems petty big on the outside but they don't seem to carry all of the items you would find at the southern shores location. They also had quite a few of the refrigerator cases that were not working and blocked off.The store itself was very clean and tidy and the staff friendly as always. Its definitely more convenient if your in the corolla area to go to this location instead of driving to Southern Shoes they just may not have everything your looking for but overall great store and staff

Ridiculous wait times in checkout on Sunday. The payroll hours police have taken over. Go to Food Lion and twice the lanes, half the wait. ...and lower prices.But store is clean and produce fresh. Employees are nice but there's only so much they can do when management cuts hours so drastically

Harris Teeter is a great super market. They have lots of food you need and it is organized into big aisles so it is easy to find. What more could you possibly want? I am on vacation right now so everything is awesome!

Excellent variety of products. Due to where it is some items we wanted like jalapeños were out of stock. But they had plenty when we returned a couple of days later. Would recommend going mid-week as not everyone coming into the obx area would already be settled.
