Great spot in Carolla. Food was excellent and service was top notch. It gets very crowded in the evening and long wait times, but there is a large bar area to have a few drinks while waiting. Bartender was very efficient, we never had an empty glass. Had fish tacos which were very fresh. Staff was great and we had a good time. There was a table full of Karen’s that were jealous of our group having a good time. Couldn’t imagine being with those boring people. Will return every year!

Absolute mainstay here in the Outer Banks. I have been coming here for 40 years and since this place opened, I have to say, it has definitely been a delight. Not a ton of food options in Corolla and the surrounding area and this place has great service, great,food and even a great outdoor upstairs patio great for watching sunsets. Food is reasonably priced and atmosphere is great! Renovation is amazing! Highly recommend!

We arrived as a group of 3 and were told the wait was about an hour. Waited at the bar and had some drinks while tracking the wait time online. Also got a text when our table was ready. Note-it gets chilly outside in the evening!Tex mex pineapple margarita- a bit sweet and not too spicy. I’d have loved it to be spicier, but it looked good and tasted just fine.The chicken health stack meal was very flavorful and enjoyable. Food and appetizer took awhile to arrive but the setting was relaxing.There are 2 couches with a cute fire feature but given how windy it was, we couldn’t use it. Very nice staff and a lovely place for a meal.

We enjoyed our lunch. Nice atmosphere. It was busy and right at lunch time so we had to wait a little longer, but we were fine with that. Our waitress was lovely and sweet. The food was good. The Cheesey Chips appetizer was delicious and so was my burger. Fries were great and so was my wife’s salad. Good size portions. I would recommend

9/17/22 Great service and atmosphere here once again, had the ahi tuna and the coconut shrimp. if you're staying in Corolla this place is a must to have a great meal.10/2021 Amazing service by Jess at the bar area. One of the best servers we’ve had in a few years. Peel and eat shrimp were fantastic, not too much old bay. Pogue chicken sandwich was juicy and a nice sauce. Hawaiian Punch pizza sounded odd with the white sauce but was surprisingly very very good. Awesome atmosphere, super clean men’s room, tremendous service, Jess was tops and a keeper, this is a must stop. A+ all around.

New physical building and restaurant after the Tomato Patch burned down. Really nicely done on inside with a fair amount of outside seating too. Menu offers a variety include sandwiches, seafood, a couple of pasta dishes, and even old Tomato Patch pizza. Food has actually exceeded my expectations. I really enjoyed the coconut shrimp.

We had the best service from the hostess to our waitress, it was just such a pleasant experience. We enjoyed our food too and there are so many choices I look forward to trying in the future. We visited your establishment for lunch on Monday, September 5th with our pups in tow. You were able to accommodate our pups at the downstairs outdoor seating section and treated them like customers as well ensuring they had enough water and that we were at the best table for them. We come to Corolla every year and will definitely be back at your establishment. Thank you for everything and a special thank you from our pups, Maggie and Copper.

I had such an amazing dinner at Bernie's brother, I ate the Brazilian steak carnival and it was absolutely magical it exploded in my mouth with flavor. The service was perfect quick to get food cooked as-well. Would recommend going and then after you go I recommend going again.

My husband, our 1 yr old daughter, and I ate lunch here. The server was friendly and the atmosphere was fun! We ordered the Steak Tropical Chop and the chicken tinga tacos. Both were fabulously flavorful. I would definitely recommend!

Went here for dinner my last night in OBX. The restaurant was clean and modern. It was busy so it was alittle loud inside but not bad. My wife and I ordered the texas beast burger which was very good. I also ordered a pizza for my niece and they lost or somehow skipped the order. We got the burgers with no pizza so we waited about 5 mins still no pizza so we ate so the burgers didnt get cold. But to make a long story short we finished our meals before the pizza came out. They did make it right and didn't charge us for the pizza and gave her a dessert for being her birthday. Overall a positive experience.

The Brazilian Steak Carnival was one of the best steaks we ever had. It was a very big piece of meat with plenty left over for lunch the next day. I also had a really good burger. The place was pretty full, and we were seated near the bar, so it was pretty loud inside. We will absolutely go back the next time we are in town. The fifth star is for the steak.

Excellent food and a cool vibe! We were there about 1pm during a week day. The restaurant was busy, but we were seated quickly, the servers were friendly, and the food came quick. We had the hot crab dip, Shrimp Po’boy BLT, and The Pogue sandwich. They had gluten free options and the gluten free buns were very good. Food was hot, good, and flavorful. Highly recommend! Not good, not bad. The bang bang shrimp was just ok. The batter was crispy but overwhelmed any shrimp inside. The mahi mahi sandwich was ok. The "spicy" fish was not particularly spicy. The fries were good. The Pad Thai was edible but not good. My wife ate half and didn't feel any desire to bring the rest home.

Fantastic place that Corolla needed. It’s the perfect mix between a bar with good dining options that are better than your typical bar food. We had a great waiter who did an exceptional job managing us and 4 other tables and we plan to come back whether it be for drinks or a nice dinner!

Not really good. The crab dip was good, but the pita tips were brown and crunchy. The fish tacos had very little fish and it was dry and old tasting. The white pizza was nasty and it seemed like it had mayonnaise under the cheese. I don't know if this Bernie's has any relationship to the one down in Kitty Hawk, but I think it does because that pizza seemed the same. It was a waste of $50 which sucks.

This was my first experience here, and my family absolutely loved it. We only ordered the appetizers to sample the menu. We will be going back to order more food from this place. Crab Dip, cheesy loaded chips and the coconut shrimp were absolutely delicious. Everything was seasoned to perfection and cooked to the perfect temperature. I was very satisfied with the wait staff as well, all of them were so nice and courteous.
