Honestly, the staff is very knowledgeable and caring. My dog was kidnapped and hasn’t eaten in months and the manager helped us out and took that extra time to make him feel comfortable. He ate finally and passed right out within first 5 minutes of being home.

Average local pet store. Had everything needed to set up my first aquarium. went back recently to upgrade my frogs tank and there was a fantastic sale. knocked off a star for the staff really pushing the monthly membership. Overall great place for your everyday needs.

We stopped in here because we were in the area, but we opted to leave without purchasing & visit our normal pet store. This place was FILTHY. The worst part was, we went right at opening! Clearly, no one swept the night before at closing (or even the last few nights, judging by the amount of hair/dust/trash. Also, the restroom trash was already overflowing, & there was so much dust on every surface in the bathroom that I was completely grossed out. We would definitely not go back, but I’m hoping, for the sake of others, that it is not always this bad.

The customer service in this store is very poor. When I went to the cash register, a young woman helped me but it seemed that she did not like my presence. She charged me and I asked her for a plastic bag to put my item I bought and she told me what it cost. 10 cents and I told her that it was fine, I paid for the bag and I asked her for my receipt and she answered seriously, do you want a receipt for 10 cents? My God, I have money to pay for that and more, what is happening with the Petco workers, they are very poorly trained as merchants

Petco's Vital Care program has benefited me and my dog and two cats. The food, grooming, and vet discounts outweigh the membership cost. I've been to several locations in the Raleigh, Durham, and Cary areas of NC and have found them all to be well-stocked, customer friendly, and especially give considerate pet care attention. My groomer, Mabel, at the Cary location, did a fabulous job with the groom and care of my senior Goldendoodle.

Best vet care! Amanda the vet tech was super sweet, informative and professional! Took extra care of our Willow. Dr. Swanson was amazing too! Great all around care for our 13 year old girl! They even got us in on the same day we called, highly recommend!

saw another review about the cats. company replied saying they take it seriously and will fix it. over a week later and the cats are still living in a mess. everything dirty and old, one bed in gross condition. they are hiding behind their liter boxes shaking. ferrets are in a cage with no toys and upside down houses. nothing to do but eat and sleep in a bright room. pets are not being taken care of with any kind of care

Poorly managed disaster zone.Couldn't look at what I wanted due to pallets of stuff everywhere. Stuff falling from pallets. Manager was in the "restroom" for 20 minutes. Agreed to 20% off of a busted up box since the ones were blocked by a full pallet. Box knife sitting on the floor. Safety hazard city. Ended up leaving without buying since ringing up the price didn't match the website. Never going back. Terrible experience. Heading to a different brand store right now.Edit: got what I needed at another big name pet store that has the same first three letters, down the road, for literally $100 less. Same product specs, store brand.

My experience with Petco was top-notch as I was helped by Ryan. Ryan stopped what he was doing and spent over an hour of his time with my family and I and shared his expertise on reptiles. Ryan went above and beyond and I ended up leaving with a beautiful albino python named “Butter.” I am very satisfied and thankful that we went to the Crossroads Blvd location which is over an hour away from my home. Shout out to Ryan for being such an awesome and knowledgeable dude.

My husband took my furbaby for her 1st cut, when I came home I cried b/c of all the hair they took off of her, no styling or nothing. When I called them, they claimed he ok'd a 4/5 shave, they showed him pictures of the different levels - he said they didn't explain it to him! They claimed he was happy with the cut but that's not true - he said I was not happy, but what was I going to do, they had already cut it. They offered to cut her again, at no charge once her hair grows back but I said no thank you. We will not take her back there. My Lil baby is 8 months old, Yorkie mix! My sweetie!

I had a great experience at this PetCo location it’s a excellent pet store where the employees went out of their way to assist me with finding the necessities for my beloved Pomeranian, Bella. It was a one-stop-shop for all of our needs, and I highly recommend it for pet owners of any kind. The staff was exceptionally courteous and amiable, and both they and the customers observed social distancing rules, ensuring the store's cleanliness and the safety of everyone inside. Moreover, I love the store's food quality, always kept in stock and appropriately displayed in a clean and well-lit environment. Overall, Petco is my go-to store for my pet shopping needs.

My sister and I went to Petco because she scheduled a surgery over the phone the past week for our dog. We went , but the lady on the phone for some reason scheduled for a regular checkup. We got double charged for a checkup. Now they tell us that the doctor cant do a surgery on Fridays but on Wednesdays. There is no communication in this place. We should be on file so how can’t this place not tell that our pet already had a checkup. We literally called for a mass removal checkup because we were told that we could schedule a surgery over the phone. The surgery is already expensive now this checkup cost is more of a financial burden. THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS AND WE DEMAND A RESPONSE!

The “vibe” at the Cary location was not good for me …. I didn’t feel like they cared particularly about “my” presence. Irregardless of what happens when I see a new vet for my dog, I will not refer anyone or make purchases at this location ever again.

The person that I asked for assistance in deciding if the product that I was purchasing would be appropriate for my needs. He pretended to know what he was talking about, but in reality, he was clueless.Since the person working in the store was so confident I hadn't opened the product until after I left the store.When I did open it and tried to use it, I found that it was totally inappropriate for my needs, and I wound up having to go out of my way at that time to find another store to return it.

I would not recommend for Grooming. Caroline cut my dogs hair.My dog received a botch haircut. His ears weren’t trimmed,and his haircut was uneven all over.I called to leave a review with the manager and he did not seem to care about my concern. If you’re looking for grooming services,I wound recommend finding another location.

Hi….We visited your store today. We had the most wonderful experience I’ve ever had at any pet store ever.We came to look at some fish. Ryan, was outstanding…!! He was so friendly, and helpful with all of our questions. He is very knowledgeable of fish, and everything about them. Also I had a few questions about parakeets, and he was so helpful with that as well….He definitely knows his job well. We were very impressed with the customer service we received from him. Thank you again, Ryan for all of your help, and kindness…We will see you again soon…!!!!

Just left very sad from seeing all of the reptiles. The leopard geckos were crawling all over eachother with 10+ in the tank, with one plant and one hide in it. Two had missing tails.This is animal abuse for this type of animal. They are solitary creatures and need to be housed separately, or there could be a deadly fight. They are not being cared for properly and look very skinny. The bearded dragon’s tanks were also the same, with scattered feces everywhere. As a gecko owner, this was sad to see, and they lost a customer.

Store is under remodel so things are a little tight, but staff super friendly, always very helpful, I had to get our cats settled after a move to our new house (but 40 bucks for a litter pan?! "Does it clean itself??") Almost 150 on flea medication, just shoot me, having furry family is expensive too! Ton of name brands dog, cat, gerbil, fish, etc. Restrooms, free parking and wheelchair accessible. Right in middle of huge Cary Shopping Center, always busy...Sign up for Pals or PetCo card for extra savings! Or shop online, more saving if downloaded app too!

I get my sweet Pug Lulu groomed at Petco and they do a fantastic job! Ashley is so knowledgeable, kind-hearted, and overall pleasant to talk to! My dog loves her, and actually gets excited about grooming visits now! Plus she can actually get Lulu's nails done! Thank you for all you do Ashley. =)

A really well organized store with fantastic service. The employees go above and beyond to help the customers. They will spend 20-30 mins telling you about how to take care of the pets and what they need, and you could also tell that they take really good care of the pets and really love them.

We have now had two terrible grooming experiences here. I honestly could have cut our dogs better doing it myself at home. Firstly, the groomer (Javiya T) did not know what a puppy cut is? She sheered our dachshund almost down to the skin and there were several red/pink spots that were clearly irritated from whatever went on. We did not ask for a refund this first time and just figured it will grow back. With this knowledge, the second time we brought our dog I asked for a cut that was one inch all around the entire body and head and to cut the face a bit shorter on my Yorkie. When we picked her up it looked as if she had barely been cut at all and her face and ears were still incredibly long. Not to mention, they charged us $66 for this absolutely awful job. I have never had an issue at any Petsmart location and will be taking my dogs there again from here on out.I will give one star because the manager did refund us for the second terrible groom job but frankly, we should've asked for a refund the first time too.Do NOT take your dogs here to be groomed, you can thank me later.

I had an awesome first visit with the grooming salon today. I called late last night in hopes to get an appointment for my dogs and the receptionist was really great. She worked me in and was so friendly . I highly recommend this location for your pet needs .

I've been shopping at this Petco for 5 years and the staff have always been knowledgeable and welcoming. I usually buy supplies and food/feeder animals for a cat, 2 ball pythons, and a bearded dragon and recently the amount of inventory has been impressive for everything except super worms, which have been hard to find recently. Always a fun, if busy and understaffed, pet store.
