One of the better thrift stores in the Triangle area and certainly in Chapel Hill/Carrboro. Proceeds go to a great cause. I primarily like the used books section, especially non fiction although they also have a lot of fiction books. Good prices: $1-2 for paperbacks and hardcovers and most of them are in great conditions. They also sell used clothing, some furnitures, electronics, CD/DVD, and other sundries. Friendly staff. Also check out their murals outside of the building! Highly recommended

Got a $20 rocking chair in great condition, and a $7 velvet dress that I’m absolutely in love with! Be warned though: there is no fitting room, so you’ll need to have a pretty good eye for what would fit you well.

CommunityWorx is one of the best thrift stores I’ve ever been to. It’s incredibly organized without taking away from that treasure hunting thrift store feeling. The items available feel well curated and it seems they’re constantly rotating their selection. The people that work there are very pleasant. I’m happy I found this place!

Good random variety of household goods and clothing, unfortunately no fitting rooms. Good general pricing.

Great thrift shop with a nice selection of clothes, furniture, books and LPs. Really nice staff. Easy parking.

Both the worst selection and highest prices of any thrift store I've ever been to. Some items are higher than retail. The mural is ugly and looks like it was drawn by a child.

Good shopping experience but bad donation experience!Went there twice. They did not ask if I want receipt or not like most thrift stores do. In addition, the lady who work in the donation area wasn't nice at all. She kept repeating "Do you understand what I'm saying" "read the label" the label said "Clothes" I have clothes and cookware but she thought I only have clothes in my box and asked me to put them in the clothes section so I asked should I separate them. She did not answer my question but instead insisted asking me to put my box in the clothes section and keep repeating "read the label". Also, not sure who she is referring to, but I heard she was mumbling "these f**king people." She is definitely in a bad mood, it is understandable since it's graduation season and a lot of people come to drop off their things, but she didn't act professional. If you didn't like your job, just try to find another one, which is good for you and your customer. I will probably just throw everything in the dumpster instead of transporting them all the way to this store and then get yelled at. Thank you!

Charles, Ebony and the One of the White Ladies and the White Dude who Wears A Scarf and the LatinX people who work here are cool but most of the Clientele are either Stuck Upper Middle Class To Wealthy White Or Immigrant People With Money Who Look Down Upon Working Class People Or Their Bums Out To Get Your Money For Drugs Or Alcohol. I Will Be Shopping Here Less Often And Do My Shopping For Good Work, Cowboy, Dress or Military Jack Boots Online And Not Buy From Here With This Filthy Left Wing Or Right Wing Leaning Clientele That I Have To Deal With.

The prices here are astronomical. It’s quite funny actually. A ripped up, stained couch for $125? You can get something nicer off FB Marketplace. Their tchotchkes and framed prints etc are $50 in many cases. This is supposed to be a thrift store, but it’s priced like an upscale antique store. Probably to appease to the wealthy folks in Carrboro and Chapel Hill. DONATED items should be priced affordably so students and folks with a lower income can buy unique pieces.

Great prices but not a lot of selection. My wife picked up a filing cabinet for $10.

They are selling racist items online that depict Black people on a negative light. Profiting off of racism is disgusting. I will not add photos as these items are offensive.

Brought two excellent condition baby changers for donation, asked if they were accepted when I was dropping them off, and was told yes. As I drove away, I saw them throw both into in the dumpster. These items were like new condition and could have been used by others. I went over to the dumpster to retrieve my items and saw many very usable items just thrown away. I will not donate to this thrift shop again. Be advised if you donate that your things may just be tossed into the trash.

I was considering donating an old flat screen TV, but after reading the review by Laura Fletcher, I've chosen not too. She dropped off two "like new" baby changers only to see them get tossed into the dumpster as she drove away. And if you look at the negative reviews, you'll see hardly any response from anyone working at this place. In addition, several complaints of rude workers. No Thanks.

They treat employees with disabilities with disrespectful behavior. I have seen managers treat workers awfully. Prices are great on some items but others to high.Resellers beware....

I have donated items here several times, but my last drop-off experience makes me hesitant to return. After putting the items where instructed, I asked for a receipt. In response, an employee who had just watched me put the last two items in the shopping cart in front of her said “is that ALL you brought?” Caught off guard, I pointed to the other items I was instructed to put in other parts of the drop off area. Without saying anything, she stormed off into the back room. I wasn’t sure if she was getting a receipt or not. She returned several moments later and shoved the receipt into my hands, again without saying anything to me.This happened over a week ago, yet am I still upset by it, especially because I was dropping off several sentimental items and a few of moderate monetary value. To be treated so rudely by an employee while making a donation is off-putting. I am really unsure if I will return here.

Sweetest Thrift shop in the area! Packed full of treasures (and the obvious junk, that's just part of the deal at this price point), friendly staff. The book section is not the biggest but by far the best organized I have seen around! Kudos to whoever is in charge of that!

Very little inventory for the amount of donations they had piled up out back and it's only one story of sales floor so just know that, contrary to what the description on line says. That being said it's clean and there are restrooms. If they laid it out better they could have more inventory to sell. The staff only areas were excessive....

I’m really torn about this place after being accosted by a staff member today. I donate to and shop here all the time, and I love the stuff they have in their store and what they provide for our community. When I went to make a car full of donations today, I was yelled at by the lady receiving donations. African American lady, about 40 years old, heavyset. I am handicapped and she told me I had to park further away to make a donation. I left in tears. I can’t believe someone in charge of receiving whole hearted donations would treat a handicapped donor or any another human being that way at all. I truly hope her behavior is addressed by her manager.I should have donated somewhere else, but I wanted to donate because I love this store. I definitely will not be donating here again. There are many other people in the area who truly need donations and are grateful when you donate a car load of really nice things.

I always find goodies in here. Lots of vintage things that are well-organized and displayed. The staff is also very kind. And I appreciate that they're open on Sundays.

Where are all the DVDs going? No one donates DVDs in Chapel Hill/Carrboro anymore? There selection has looked the same for at least 6 months, little to nothing, just misc titles, it used to full all the time. I come to this store once a week, and its always the same. I guess you guys are all keeping these for yourselves. I highly doubt DVDs are depleted in this area.

This thrift store changed a lot after the closing of the store located near Whole Foods. The store is better organized, the merchandise is easier to find and better displayed, better selection too. The prices are reasonable. You never know what treasures you may find.

I went in after looking at their website and thinking this was a pretty cool place. Well, not one person even said hello to me when I walked in, not even a hi, nothing. Then I overheard one of the employees say they *&%$ hate this place, obviously they weren't having a good day, but that was lame for her to basically yell that out loud for customers to hear. I went in looking forms specific item and didn't really get a chance to browse all their stuff, but from what I could tell, it wasn't anything mind blowing and looked like a typical thrift store. I think what getsbme was the lack of customer service skills. I expected more, but you win some and lose some.

It is a fairly large store with a bunch of different odds and ends. I think it is really expensive for a thrift shop. Any furniture you would want is almost always already bought. All the other furniture you could buy is crap that you could get for free on the curbside. Occasionally they have some nice stuff but you have to be lucky and even still the prices aren't great. One thing I will say is that they have stuff like silverware super cheap. IF you don't care too much about stuff matching it is a great place for dishes and what-not.

Literally 90 percent of my furniture comes from PTA, not to mention countless other decor, kitchen supplies, clothes, I've found at PTA. Its great for finding unique, vintage, stuff for super cheap. I go once a week and am never bored. I am forever a thrift shop person thanks to PTA.

"Non profit" that sells products for even higher than retail value. A cheap, worthless product can literally have a tag on it that says what it retailed for, and they'll still insist on charging you more. My friends and I have now had multiple experiences where something is clearly not worth even half of what they're asking for it, but there's no talking to these people. They used to be a cool place, but have more and more seemed concerned with making maximum possible profit off of half their inventory. There was a day when you could find a PS3 in perfect condition here for $10. Nowadays they'd charge 2x what some corporate video game store would charge. It'd be nice to support thrifting, but it's becoming clear that you're now genuinely better off buying your used games from Gamestop, and your furniture from Walmart if you need to save money. So much for giving back to the community.

I am generally disappointed with the selection here. Not only is it often limited, it is often overpriced. I was recently looking for a cake pan, and they had one in less than desirable condition and it was more expensive than a brand new one from Food Lion. Women's clothing almost always outnumbers men's clothing at thrift stores, but it especially does here. The men's clothing was lackluster. The only reason I shop here is because of the extremely limited number of thrift stores in Chapel Hill/Carrboro.
