Super nice staff at the store! Always friendly and extremely knowledgeable about all things birds. One of my favorite products that they carry is the fiery feast. The birds love it, and the squirrels do not!

I love this store. The staff and Casey the owner/manager really know a lot about birds and are always so helpful. As an animal lover and cat parent I appreciate that they always have a rescue cat in the store which they adopt out and replace with another. Birders know the importance of keeping cats indoors !The bulletin board always has local birding activities and the in store Saturday programs are excellent. The selection of bird food and supplies is everything you could possibly need to attract birds to your yard. I also feed squirrels and turkeys and I can get their food there as well. They also have s nice variety of bird themed cards and gifts.As a member of their Daily Savings Club its nice to get the discount and after so many purchases, a $10 voucher ( bird bucks) to use in store

The new ownership is really bringing this store alive! They have the best seed and seed blends, and I love their seed towers (specifically, my birds do!). I'm looking forward to their new display of locally produced bird art, too.Wonderful customer service. If you enjoy birds in the AVL area definitely stop in and stock up.

Knowledgeable and helpful staff. The old adage "you get what you pay for" is very applicable here - yes, you will pay more than at a big box store, but their feed is high quality, fresh and not 90% cheap filler seeds that most birds ignore. Their feeders are well made and save money in the long run over replacing the cheap box store ones yearly. In the spring they have live mealworms which the bluebirds feeding young really appreciate! Highly recommend this store.

Helpful employees & lots of options. You can spend some money on birds then more keeping the squirrels & bears off your feeders. I now have a carnival midway worthy attraction on my back deck. I love to shop here!

Living in the beaverdam area, I see a ton of wildlife. I wanted to attract more birds to my yard so I came to WBU looking for food and feeders. The prices are REALLY high here, some basic feeders are over $100 😮. I ended up signing up fo their reward program when I bought some seed becuase you get a free cake seed holder and 2 cakes (which was basically the same cost to join the rewards program so it was a good deal). The bear liked it 😂.The seed attracted cardinals and even a wild hen 🦃 💗. I like they offer talks, and I should have attended the Bear one since I see bears by my house and car almost everyday lol. It’s a nice clean store and they even have a rescue cat in the back 💝 I just wasn’t pleased with the prices 😕.

Years have seen me in Wild Birds periodically. I join the in house cadre for $25 since one trip will save me that much. Their products are premium, and so are their prices if you don’t join, but if you feed birds you’ll probably want to do so. I get my black oil sunflower seeds at Lowes— they’re all the same and everyone eats them: Cardinals, Tufted Titmice, Chicadees, Nuthatches, Finches, Indigo Buntings, even Bluebirds. Lowes is less, especially with military discount, but I get big bags of peanuts at Wild Birds; all of the above love them plus Woodpeckers. Keep an eye out for reegular sales. Their feeders and houses are superior.
