I was on a self check out only buying a $1 soda when the machine added another item I didn't have. I don't understand how it was added, perhaps a bar code lined up perfectly with the scanner from a distance or something. I tapped on 'need assistance' on the machine and stood there for 15 minutes waiting. There was a cashier who checked out 3 people who were behind me and walked away when he was finished. I had to chase after him and ask for help in self check out then he signed and the first thing he said when we got to the machine was 'what did you do?'. This store has awful customer service and seemingly faulty machinery. If a manager sees this review I hope they can start training their employees on how to interact with customers because sighing when asked for help and directing 'you' statements towards people is either lack of knowledge or lack of care. All of this happened in less than 20 minutes and it has left a bad impression on the DG brand for me. All for a $1 can of soda

Wide variety of merchandise and food items. This store was organized but stocked full of many different items, so take your time and look around. Even if they should not have something you are looking for, you are bound to find something you need or would like to have if you look around.

If I could give it a no star I would. Place is filthy, no public restrooms, rude employees and the whole place is cluttered so bad you can't walk thru the store. I would rather drive 30 minutes out of my way than shop there ever again

I gave this place a 5 star rating 7 months ago. I visit here frequently. However, today I have never been treated so rudely by the cashier in my life! I even left saying have a nice day. I have worked in customer service for a very long time. I would have never treated a customer as she did me today!Just an update, I have had two other experiences since posting the second review. One was absolutely wonderful. I had told my son he could not have something, he was getting cranky, he was not being his best self by any means and an employee came outside after I walked out and told me thank you for being a good mom. Even though my son was tired, most kids leave there kicking and screaming, but he didn’t. She was just so kind to go out of her way and give a wonderful reminder. I see her in there frequently and she is so wonderful and helpful! She deserves 10 stars!The last time I went in, I had another employee ring me up. She didn’t speak. Not one word. Not hello. Have a good day. Tell me my total. Nothing. It was pretty bad! I will chalk it up to a bad day!

It's like a big mess in there. Products piled on shelves and above. The floor plan is like a maze. Employees are very nice and respectful but the whole place is a hot mess and it's not their fault...its the owners. I really wish they would organize it better because I like going there.

Visited the store at 8am on 9-24-18.Store was stocked and had everything I needed as usual.The shelves were a disaster.. some had items misplaced to the point where I had to move displaced items to find what I needed.The bathroom was in horrible condition. The trash was over flowing into the floor. The toilets & sink hadn't been wiped and I even had to take the lid off the tank and adjust the chain on the flapper so that it would fill up and I could flush it.I cleaned the toilet with my own sanitary wipe and there was no toilet paper in there, so it's a good thing I had my own!I have never seen this store in this condition!I will be back, it's my closest location. But I hope something changes between now & then.Had I known I could post pictures on the review, I would've taken a few..

Very convenient. They usually have exactly what I need. Unfortunately the store is always cluttered with carts full of merchandise. Display racks. Ect. The shopping carts are broken with missing wheels. There's nearly always only one girl working. If two is there the one in charge is in back goofing off.

Cashier was extremely rude to me. Wouldn't get off her phone long enough to check me out. I apologized for inconveniencing her and she just acted more annoyed.

They built one right above my house. It's perfect to run for odds and ends and a couple minutes away. I get it ,good location ,good overall selection. But sticking them in rural areas and ruining otherwise pristine country ride. To paraphrase my Daddy, GOD rest his soul. It's like putting a tv in an outhouse.

Great prices and a wide variety my only issue is they need more staff. I needed help finding an item I had to walk from the back to ask the cashier for help. She left the register and the customers in line to help me find what I wanted which was almost at the back of the store. While I was happy for the help I was concerned about those who were waiting in line.

Why do all Dollar General stores look like they just received a truck load of stock that needs to be unloaded and shelved? Can't navigate through the constant mess in these stores.Price and selection are pretty decent. It would just be nice to go into a DG and not find aisle after aisle of stacked boxes of inventory.

Love the things and prices this store has, but it is too jumbled up, and could be kept cleaner, floors and stuff in the isles. Overall they just have too much in there for there to be room enough to see things nicely. The one down on Zoo Parkway is much worse, but both could do better.

I had a great experience there, staff was pleasant and very helpful. The variety of items was awesome, with lower prices than the box stores. All in all our made shopping quicker and easier.

Management and cashiers were great. Whoever the new management of the store is deserves a raise. This store has made a huge up coming from a year ago. I can shop here again. Thanks to Jimmy,Stefanie,Kristin!

The reason for the 3stars is as an observant shopper another warning to business' & their patrons... A new BOLO for women 68 & older in groups of 2-4 shopping together but using only 1 cart & the presence of coupons exist!!! Be warned if this demographic exists in any business where only one check out station or register is open. Get to the check out, immediately!! If they make it to the check out before you, this will be a long visit... I didn't make it this time!

Worst experience at the zoo parkway dollar general today.Shane not only had an attitude after seeing me walking in today, but after asking her if a discount applied at the register she ignored my question. I asked her again and since she ignored me again I asked for her to remove the item. She gave me a whole attitude of what I needed off and I explained her what needed to be removed. At this point she proceeded to tell me that she could make me put the stuff back that I wasn't going to need. Needless to say I wont be going back to the store again.

I go here alot because its convient but i hate the long waits in line just to pay for my stuff they are always so busy today was the worst experience I have had I went in tonight to get get a few things and the cashier was very rude to me I was trying to task her hand question and she yelled at me I told her she didn't have to be so rude then i paid for my stuff and she threw my money at me which fell on the floor when i told her hi was calling her manager she said I don't care go-ahead so if this is how u let your employees treat your customers then i will not be shopping her ever again

This is not my favorite place to go not any DG, I stopped to get milk that was it. They have major issues to fix at all of their stores and at home office. If u can go somewhere else then u should.

Asked about an off season item an night manager smarted off with “yes, we sell that during winter at the DOLLAR GENERAL!” Told not to be so rude and he threatened to call police. I’m standing there with two kids! No tag and wouldn’t tell me his name!Where they find these low IQ jerks is beyond me.

I tend to avoid this location almost always a mess, staff is rude and unfriendly there is a young Indian girl who is sweet as can be and a lady named sabrina i believe.. she is awesome ☺

Great place to get paper products, cleaning supplies, detergents. They have a lot better selection of things in this bigger store.
