Rudest person I have ever had to speak with. Went in about an issue with a brand new chainsaw that was cutting crooked out of the box. Explains that I thought the issue was me until my father looked at it and he confirmed that it cut crooked for him as well. Also had someone else who works with these saws on a daily basis tell us that it could have been an issue from the factory with the chain causing it to cut wrong. After explaining this the owner looked me in the eyes and told me that they were stupid and didn’t know what they were talking about. How can you as a business owner look a client in the eyes and call them or any of their family members stupid? Absolutely terrible, and they wonder why people prefer to go elsewhere when they need something. I would never recommend anyone I know to go there knowing that they will get talked down to like this by the owner of the business. Clearly they don’t care enough about their client and just want to take your money and treat you like trash when you have an issue.

We went to the store to purchase a replacement wheel for a Toro zero turn mower deck and the lady at the desk was rude and once she discovered we did not buy our mower there she said they did not have any wheels. I will not go back.

Dean and his team are amazing, very knowledgeable, and focused on providing exceptional customer service! If you are looking for any quality outdoor equipment I would highly recommend them. They also have Spartan Mowers which are incredible!

The customer service was great, I never felt like I was being pressured in making a purchase. And after I did purchase my mower, they have gone the extra mile. I recommend them and I will use them again.

New to the area. Was looking to buy a brand new bobcat mower. The man on the phone told me everything. Took time, was very kind and answered all my questions regardless if I were to buy from them or not. After speaking for a good 20 mins to the man he earned my business. Later that week I went in a bought my brand new ZT2000 from them.

Poor customer service the lady that is in there is very rude to the customers. Will not work on your small engine equipment unless you have bought it from them. So don't waste your time taking stuff fir repair like we did and liked to never got waited on. They saw us standing there a literally over looked us and when I asked could someone help us. Immediately the lady blurts out if you didn't by it here we don't work on it. Why Carrie high end equipment and you can't service these companies products unless you sold it. Ridiculous!! Never again will we go back. Had to give one star to post but they don't need that.

Amick’s is by far the best lawn/garden power equipment dealer I’ve ever encountered. Anyone can sell equipment, but the service these people provide after the sale is unmatched. The service department is motivated and knowledgeable and know when to speak up if they notice something I’ve overlooked. I highly recommend these guys.

I've bought THOUSANDS of dollars worth of product from these people and when I ask for help with fixing one implement that was purchased from another store they turned me away. I would pay whatever they charged me to fix what is a simple leak on a pole saw. I purposely drive close to 50 miles round trip to give these people my business on a regular basis and they treat me as if I am a nuisance and my money is no good here to pay for the service work. I can't believe as a paying customer that has given them all of my business and try's to support local business they would not accept my money for one single service issue on one implement that was not purchased directly from them.I can't believe I was actually going to buy a new mower from them this summer. Unbelievable!!!They won't have to worry about me bothering them any more.

WANTED TO UPDATE: after finding my review on google the store manager called me personally and addressed my concerns. While I did not accept the refund I did take the time to stop by and shake the man’s hand for taking time to fix my machine and honor our agreement!Never had a bad experience here until today.Staff is knowledgeable about all of their products. They offer all of the top brands at a price you would expect for them. The gentleman that seems to be in charge is extremely helpful and provides good customer service. However, I recently bought an expensive trimmer with extra attachments after only a few uses the Choke control broke off. When I explained to the employee what happened he quickly got me a new Control piece but then charged me for it. I feel like they could’ve better stood by their product and honor their warranty.

I won't review a business unless it either, real bad, or real good, in this case, it was really, really good.Got my mower out yesterday for first time this year, and everything went well for the first hour, then, nothing. It cut off couldn't get power to ignition.I mess with it a couple of hours until the Lord told me to give it up before I said something, that I shouldn't say, so I gave up.I called Amicks this morning, spoke with Gail, and within an hour, help came to me.Danny showed up at my house and had the problem diagnosed and fixed within 20 minutes.I write this because I wasn't given the standard, " we're real busy", which they are, or, "since COVID, we can't catch up, it will be at least a couple of weeks before we could get to you", etc, they were here the next day, within an hour of when I called . Unbelievable!!, and I'm just a regular customer!!Now granted, this was a warranty repair, but they drove to my home and repaired it where it sat broken down, am I'm sure you'd be treated the same way.I read reviews that have complained Amicks won't service what it doesn't sell, and I've been a victim of this myself, however, I understand fully the reason for this policy.If you buy from them, you can be sure they stand behind their business reputation with excellent service and excellent products.And to top it off, every last one of their staff, are good, honest, knowledgeable people that are a pleasure to work with.Thanks Amicks

Placed an online order with them on Sunday night. Realized I screwed it and ordered wrong part. Called Monday and they pulled the parts out of shipping and replaced with the correct ones. The lady on the phone was super nice and helpful fixing my screw up.

Good selection of quality products and equipment. My family is extremely satisfied with there products and services. The exmark zero turn lawn mower we purchased here is great and is definitely worth what webpaid several times over. This location is one of the only places we will take our chainsaws for service and maintenance. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are reasonably fair and wait time to checkout/length of lines are negligible.

What can I say about the guys and lady at Amicks that people don’t already know. Since the first time I walked in the store they’ve been nothing but professional and courteous people. It’s truly your home town store, I’ll never shop anywhere else when it comes to lawn care equipment unless they stop carrying g the brands I like.I think in the 2yrs I’ve been involved with Amicks I’ve only had 1 issue on a repair they did, but we got that resolved.If you’re looking for quality customers service, knowledgeable people, and just a friendly atmosphere with the best selection on Zero turn mowers, yard equipment and more Amicks is your 1 stop shop.

This place can be great and very poor in the same visit. They may know a thing about a product or 2 in their store, but can't put twheels on a mower correctly and they can't see the issue with one or two of them installed reversed. Inside facing out, and the product even prints "inside&outside " in the rubber. If the mower doesn't look right, they'd rather try to convince you that the mowers from that brand are all like that . When I could see it wasn't correct and that the wheels were not installed correctly, only because the wheels were labeled. But maybe they couldn't read....

I've been doing business with Amicks for 25+ years, beginning with their original store in Franklinville, and have always been treated with honesty, respect and more than fair pricing.I have purchased lawnmowers, chainsaws, weed eaters, leaf blowers, etc, and even a woodstove, and have never regretted these decisions.After reading a few negative reviews from other customers, I feel compelled to address these negative reviews concerning their policy of not servicing equipment not purchased there.I have been a victim of this policy myself. even after being a loyal customer for several decades, however, this is a smart and wise business decision.I recently took a leaf blower to them that a friend had purchased from a big box store, and they refused service. I realize that this can be a frustrating and disappointing thing to happen, but I understand fully, and firmly stand behind their business model.Amicks has a very large and loyal customer customer base, and to start accepting equipment not purchased there, would only delay and hinder the excellent service they provide to their regular customers. This may not seem fair to some, but try to get service from a box store, it won't happen.My suggestion to those who felt slighted, is to buy your equipment there and when necessary, to have your equipment serviced there as well, you will not be turned away or disappointed, this, I promise.For the record, this review was written freewilled, unbiased, and without promise or hope of compensation.This is a good local business, honest as the day is long, and worthy of your consideration.Thanks

It is obvious that they value their customers. Also great that they have Stihl, Husqvarna, and Echo all in the same store. Don't waste your time at the big home improvement stores, this is the place to buy lawn equipment. I continue to be amazed with just how good their customer service is!

I really enjoyed shopping here. Very convenient, nice layout, good selection of quality and capable tools to get things done at home or on the job if your a pro. Neighbors recommended us to check them out after we moved to Daves Mountain a few years ago.Everyone has been really nice to do business with up until this summer, I think they are all family, but the grey haired employee/ manager/ owner? - was extremely rude to me not to long ago for no apparent good reason. Not so much fun anymore but I still shop with them, I just avoid doing business with him. Everyone else is awesome.I have not used the service dept of Amick's yet, but my friends and neighbors tell me it's very good.

Over the years my family has bought many products from Amicks superstore dating all the way back to their location in Franklinville. I remember the guy Bill I used to be the manager/owner. He was always legendary on his customer service. I went into the store because I was in a jam. I had ran over some wire and wrapped it around the blades. I spoke to a salesman and he said he couldn't help me and referred me to the parts counter. The parts counter guy said he couldn't help me and referred me to the manager. The manager said that because I did not buy the machine from him that he would not work on it. He then recommended that I try another shop. I immediately drove there. I did not buy my machine from this shop but they stopped what they were doing and put my machine in the shop and worked on it immediately. I will do business with that shop again. I will not be back to Amicks, nor will I recommend them. If the old owner Bill is still around I'm sure he would be disappointed to learn this. #Customer service

Unbelievably good service. Do read this entire post b/c if you're considering buying and/or service, then you can't go wrong w/Amick's! We purchased a Wright mower nearly 5 yrs. ago. Major purchase and high expectations for performance. We've completed all maintenance for the mower w/Amick's and have ALWAYS received extremely professional customer service. The mower recently developed a problem and wouldn't run longer than an hour--maybe. Frustrating beyond belief and it went in for service. Long story short--it's taken 3 visits and challenged the service technician, but the relatively unique problem was located and fixed. All along the way the technician checked every aspect of the engine and mechanics of the mower. No challenge too great for this service crew! Whether you're dealing w/Dean, our sales person, or Mark, who is our go-to service contact as well as a sales person, or the service technician, Junior, who surely can fix anything--well, the whole entire Amick's team is outstanding. You can count on excellent sales and service w/this company!

I buy all my outdoor equipment at Amick’s. Very knowledgeable staff and outstanding service. The staff listens to me and asks questions to understand what is needed for my yard. I have never felt pressured to purchase more than exactly what I need. It is very reassuring to know if I need any maintenance done or have a problem with anything purchased from Amick's, they will take care of it. Wouldn’t consider going anywhere else for outdoor equipment.

I drove all the way from Augusta, GA to buy a wood stove last week. These guys were awesome! I called the day before and they had me one set aside and I drove up the next day to get it. They saved me anywhere between 600-900 dollars. They’re prices are great, their service is beyond reproach, and I will be back again I am sure! These guys got my future business!Semper Fidelis,John
