Our first visit to Groomingdale’s was everything we’d been wanting for our new pup. The staff is very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The location is clean, organized and stocked full of supplies and treats! Vee, our assigned groomer, greeted us warmly and spent some time with us before whisking our pup away for her treatments. We left feeling very confident (and relieved) that our sweet puppy was in good hands. When we picked up our puppy, she was calm, happy and beautifully groomed, very playful with the staff - all good signs that she enjoyed the experience. We definitely recommend Groomingdale’s to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable and safe place for boarding and grooming!

Heather is not a good business manager. They have too many clients because there’s SO many new people moving to this area and not enough competition….so they have gone downhill in their service and attitude in the last few years. They used to be super wonderful- many friends used to go there but they have recently left due to the change in service caliber.We had our dog groomed by Briza in March- she is a less experienced groomer and took total of 6.5 hrs to groom our dog. (We picked up our dog 1 hour past the retail closing hour. Never thought it could be that late- we had to make different pick up arrangements.)The groom was not done the way we asked. We asked for 3/4” length - we even specified the blade size we normally use- instead we received a dog with nearly 2” coat in half the body plus a fuzzy head. That happens when the dog isn’t brushed out enough while hair is still damp resulting in the curliest hair remaining much longer than the less curly hair….. (I groom dogs myself).I know Briza is relatively new to this practice so I didn’t want to complain to her. She didn’t do a BAD job- just not the 3/4” all over simple cut we asked for. We received no apology for the super long duration either. Still, we thanked her, tipped her well.We contacted the business owner instead to discuss. We needed another groom much sooner than usual so we asked if they could give us a discount on the next groom. We don’t need it to be right away- I understand they are super busy. But whenever they do get around to us- can they somehow make up for the poor groom?No. Heather says we’re stuck with what we’ve got.Apparently they have a secret policy that they did not share with us during pick up that clients only have 48 hours after the groom to make any comments.When picking up our dog after the first groom I expected them to say thank you for coming to us for your first time please let us know within 48 hours if you’re needing any changes. No such detail was given.They did offer a $25 discount on an upgrade. Like the groom is $100 and I can buy a $50 upgrade that they would discount by $25 or something. No- we don’t need a raspberry scented mask and nail color and a bow- we really just needed the very basic haircut we wanted.Chantal who is an experienced groomer there did share with me today about how their business has grown 3 fold in the last 2 Years and they are SO busy with SO many clients. That made it very clear why their service has gone so downhill.We have been going to the same groomer in North Raleigh for 7 years but gosh it’s far from where we live now. We are looking for a new place but this is clearly not it.We’re not interested in supporting a business that’s so confident in their growth they have no sense of customer service left.

This place is the only place I trust with my dogs. The staff are so kind, after a few appointments, you feel like family. Stephanie usually grooms my little nervous dogs and it helps their equally anxious mom(me) to know they're in good hands. Chaz in the shop, is so knowledgeable about dog nutrition and pet food and snacks. If you want to make sure your pets getting the best, bring them here!

wasn't happy with the place it was recommended by my sister, made appointment in November for April 8th in advance when April came my appointment was taken away, this action wasn't professional. the grooming on my dogs looked Amateur. It worked for me my friend recommended another place which they booked my daisy for April 8th ,7:30am ... and picked her up back at 10:30 am and my Daisy got the perfect grooming that I wanted! Grooming Place Town And Country animal care center it's beautiful clean and the workers are professional. will never go back to Groomingdales Chantel Very nasty Attitude.

I cannot recommend Natalea enough. We’ve been brining my dog Charlie to her since he was a young pup and he is definitely a handful but she never fails to do a wonderful job every single time! Not to mention Charlie LOVES HER and is always very excited to go to the groomers to see her

First time visit for my dog who I just recently adopted who had never been groomed. Stephanie did such an amazing job, I couldn’t believe it was our dog. Everyone so nice as well!Here are before and after pics ❤️

We took our mini golden doodle for her first puppy cut. We thought Natalie did a fantastic job. She put us at ease, talked us through the service and our sweet little girl did great. She looks fluffy and beautiful and can see much better. We will go back!

Darian has been caring for our dogs for years and I just brought my very nervous hyper puppy to her and he did fantastic with her. I highly recommend Groomingdales to meet your dog’s grooming and nutritional needs!

Simply the best place to get your dog groomed. We love going to Groomingdales and they have not only grooming but daycare which means Woodford, our sheepadoodle, isn't stuck in a crate before his appointment. They are all real dog lovers and do a great job! They also have a dog food and treats business with high quality food and other items. By far the best groomers we have used.

LOVE Groomingdales and Heather!! Heather does a fantastic job with my English Springer Spaniel. We take her every four weeks. Heather is very accommodating and does a great job at doing the show cut. The ladies at Groomingdales love my pup and she adores them as well. Heather is very patient and kind with my girl. We always get compliments on her cut.Update:We have been coming to Groomingdales for a few years now. The service is still fantastic and my girl looks great.I’ve gotten to the shop early to pick my girl up and I was able to watch how Heather works with my girl. They love each other! I adore that Heather let’s my girl give her kisses.The new shop is very nice and has lots of food and yummy treats. Plus they have a photo area.

My aussie mix mini hadvery badly matted hair on both sides of the chest area due to wearing a shirt to help with not licking a sore . I thought for sure the matted areas would have to be shaved off but to my surprise that was not the case at all. Stephanie worked her magic and did an awesome job!!!! First time here and wont be the last. Highly recommend!

Had Charlie & Bella groomed atGroomingdales. They looked and smell amazing. They actually love the groomer, Darian. Darian treats & takes care of my dogs like family. Great service & attention to detail. Love the retail shop they have. I was able to pick up all my pet supplies in one location. Photo before grooming, they have a lot of hair!!

This review is long overdue. I have been going to Groomingdales in Apex for nearly two years. My fur-baby means the world to me, and rather than leave her alone while I worked, I wanted to place her in daycare every day. She would have exposure to other dogs, and would be able to play. Most importantly I wanted a place where I knew she would be well cared for. Heather and her team treat my little girl as if she were their very own. I have never seen them inattentive or be disrespectful to any pup, daycare or on the table being groomed. They have always been accommodating to any of my eccentric grooming desires. More than willing to please.

Absolutely wonderful! We came from FL, where our pup loved her groomer, and our poor girl went through a few tough experiences at other groomers here in NC. When we picked her up you could just tell how happy she was with the whole spa experience. Immediately scheduled another appointment and included one of our other dogs. Excited to bring back both pups! Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of our girl!!

First time here for a bath, nail grinding and teeth brushing for my puggle, Pixie. Her groomer, Stephanie was awesome, very helpful and very friendly! Pixie seemed happy and looked beautiful. We will definitely be back!

So, it is not typical of me to review businesses, but I felt the need to write one about our experience at Groomingdale's for the express purpose of bringing awareness to how things are run at this business. They are a high volume business, which is a direct quote from the Manager there, which basically means they work to get as many dogs in as possible in one day, to make money. So typically what happens is you bring your dog in, they put it in a kennel, then they take the dog out to bathe them. After the bath they put the dog back in the kennel so the groomers can work on God knows how many other dogs, before they begin the process of grooming and cutting. They do part of the grooming, then put the dog back into the kennel to wait for the groomer to work on other dogs, and this goes on and on, in and out of the kennel for 4 hours. Their reasoning behind this practice, is that it gives them time to bond with the dogs, between their bonding with other dogs, and of course all the shampooing and cutting multiple dogs at the same time..... The manager who spoke to me, and the owner have between them 20 and 30 years experience doing this job say they find this is the best system for the dogs they work on. I am here to tell you that this is NOT the best system for the DOG, only for the groomers and owner of the business, whose main concern is the bottom line- the almighty dollar. My dog is a dog that does NOT do well in a kennel, and her stress level when I picked her up was so high she was having a hard time breathing. I Facetimed my daughter who is a vet tech, from the car in front of Groomingdale's so she could see and hear what was going on ,and she told me to make sure her gums and tongue were not blue, then told me to bring her back in to give her some water. Which I did and when I asked if my dog had been like this the whole time, the response was "pretty much". I took my pup home and had an emergency vet cued up to call if she didn't start to breathe normal again, but thank God she finally started normal breathing. For four days after that experience she was completely exhausted.When I was finally able to talk to the manager, they did offer to do a 'quick' grooming session with my dog, with an extra eighteen dollars added to the cost, and that would get my dog in and out in less than two hours. I told her that I would not be coming back, and that I thought the 'quick' grooming for more money was a gimmick. She disagreed and gave me a reason that it wasn't a gimmick which I frankly didn't listen to because at this point I knew they did not care about their clients.How the hell could they let a dog get that stressed out and NOT notice and NOT call the owner? Because they do not pay attention. They can't. There are too many clients that have to get in and out to make the quota for the day. Shame on you Groomingdales. You need to change completely your grooming practices, or close your doors.

Groomingdales is truly amazing and dedicated to your fur babies. Today my dogs collar broke as she got out of the car and she decided to take a "stroll" down the shopping center. They heard me inside calling for her and 2 groomers and Chazz (the manager) ran out to help me corral her! I am so thankful for their commitment to their customers.Stephanie has been trimming my dogs nails for the last few months. She is sweet, caring and does a great job!Thank you to all the staff for such a wonderful place to take my baby!

The staff was friendly and gave my baby a nice haircut. I wish that they had examples of how close they would shave it so I can give them something more to go off of then close. Still, with my vague directions they still managed to get his cut right.Update: Chantal does amazing work on my babies everytime and works through their anxiety. I never had an issue with a cut she gave them like I had with petmart where they kept nicking them and leaving them with bumps and bruises. Much happier with the service here.1/18/23Still love going here. The staff is always friendly and Chantal communicates very well and eases my worries about my dogs anxieties. The new addition to the store looks great as well! Lots more room for people to stand in the store at the same time. Their little photo booth is super cute as well!

After a lot of research and trial with multiple groomers, I found Groomingdales and really happy and satisfied. Kristy is amazing and does an amazing work grooming my Maltipoo. Highly recommend this place, they take good care of the pets.

My you gest dog is very timid and scared...Groomingdales is amazing! They took their time and made him feel confident and comfortable!We take both of our Australian Shepherds to Groomingdales! We love them!!!!This is also a great place to get healthy dog food at a great price!!!

My dogs love their spa day and I feel like the folks really do genuinely care about the dogs and it makes it easier to leave them for the day! They always come back happy, with soft fur and smelling so much better!
