Cute little coffee shop, with decent food. Be selective when trying the cheesecake. While it was well made, it was not the flavor profile of a traditional cheesecake.While the staff was friendly, we did end up standing around for several minutes waiting to be acknowledged while they chatted amongst themselves.There was plenty of indoor seating. More enjoyable for us was that the outdoor seating was clean and comfortably arranged with a great view of the Main Street and traffic.Parking: There is some street parking and a free lot right across the street from the shop.

I’m a regular at Common Grounds and have been going consistently since moving to Apex. It is by far the best coffee shop I’ve ever been to! They have some of the best tasting seasonal drinks (the Nutty Irishman and Gingerbread Lattes are standout favorites of mine). I highly recommend this place, words don’t do it justice. Just go and try their coffee, you’ll be hooked for sure!

Great discovery! This was my first visit and I love finding places with a variety of teas and coffees that is not just an overwhelming combination of flavors but well thought drinks for their costumers. The place also features miscellaneous items and crafts from local artists , coffees teas and spices to take home, beautiful decor and more! I love the environment this place sets with its windows displaying the different mugs, there is also out door sitting and a gender neutral bathroom.

A very sweet coffee shop right in the midst of downtown Apex. The coffee mug wall is such a treat to see every time I visit. The atmosphere is great for meeting with a friend. It can be a little crowded if you are looking to hang out and study, but on a less busy afternoon, it's the best spot in town. They have an amazing amount of in-house syrups. I had their raspberry latte last I went. It had a perfect balance of sweetness and flavor.

Great coffee shop and meeting place in beautiful downtown historic Apex.The classic macchiato is wonderfully wonderful. A beautiful blend of whole milk foams graces the top of the silky smooth espresso like a high altitude coating of fresh snow on the Rocky Mountains.The staff are nice and greet you with a perfect smile.You are greeted with a large selection of bakery options to fill your gullet.Come here and be amazed by the deliciousness provided.

First time here! I needed somewhere to do my work as my car was being worked on. This was the perfect spot. The tea was delicious and there is ample seating. I’ll be back and I’ll try the gelato I spotted next time!

Definitely a local gem. Stopped by for coffee and their blueberry swirl cheesecake. Perfect pair for after dinner.I keep forgetting that they have great collections of novelty mugs and cute gift items. Stop by and grab some!

We love Common Grounds Coffee. We stop in whenever we are in town visiting from Delaware. Located in quaint downtown Apex, Common Grounds serves delicious coffee concoctions paired with tasty desserts and pastries. The staff is friendly and the place has really cool ambience. In addition downtown Apex is really worth poking around. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area.

We really like common grounds and will be back. However, it is worth noting that the chai is a mix that has dairy powder in it. I order a chai latte with oat milk and was surprised to learn that they didn’t mention the diary in the drink when ordering with non-dairy milk. People with allergies beware. I am disappointed.Dietary restrictions: They have great options but didn’t take the time to mention dairy existing in my drink when I ordered non-dairy milk.

Went there second time and the experience was again awesome!! Tried Cortado and Snickerdoodle Latte. Must try coffee house when you’re in Apex and want a break from your regular coffee places.Cozy place with cool decor and amazing service.I just wished that hot drinks we ordered were hotter and there was some sugar in it😊

This is great coffee spot. Tucked away in downtown Apex, this coffee shop has really good quality coffee, gelato, and various baked goods.The space is narrow but has a decent amount of seating. It's very eclectic with its collection of coffee mugs, vintage beer cans along the top of the wall, and various local art.The staff has been great, all the times I've been there. Would recommend.

Nice cafe in apex. The ham and cheese croissant was delicious. The deserts looked extra good. I ordered a strawberry banana smoothie. It was very good. Service was quick and friendly. The decor was quirky and had a lot of mugs and pictures for sale. It was busy. A mix of friends chatting, people having meetings, people.workng on computers. Super clean bathroom. I would come again.

This coffee shop has creamy, sweet ice cream and amazing coffee! It’s conveniently located facing the street, with the sun streaming in. The coffee is on the more expensive side, but the massive selection of goodies makes up for it. I will say that it is not always sensory friendly. There are many loud noises, people, flashy objects/decorations, etc. It was overstimulating to enter the store for the first time, and I had to take a minute to get my bearings. Once you adjust, order, and plug in earbuds though, it isn’t bad. The noise definitely dies down after 1 PM. The best ice cream, in my humble opinion, is the Orange Creamsicle, pictured below. Edit: I ran out of money and had wanted to get a frozen apple cider, later in the day, they brought me one for free!

First time visit here and was blown away by how amazingly perfect the iced matcha latte was! For once, it wasn't too sweet and amazingly creamy without an overpowering vegetal taste that often happens with my other experiences elsewhere. This one was just the perfect balance of flavors!! My family also loved their iced latte and hot tea! The shop itself is so cute, full of unique mugs for sale, we loved the atmosphere!
