Horrible rude service! And everytime we get to the register if I have a coupon or rewards its always a problem yesterday there was a food on sale for 79.98. She saw my rewards and coupons and rung it up for 89.98! Then when I asked for my 10 dollars she said her husband can only handle it! She's the store owner and a crook they steal money threw the receipts. It's a clever system they got going. But I spoke to corporate and they will be handling the yorktown store. Stay away! They lost a 5 year customer over 10 bucks.. its sad must be hurting for money. This has happened multiple times to me and my father! She treats he staff terribly also!

We have been going to this pet supply store for years with no issues. My husband bought a few fresh water fish for our tank. The fish were diseased. Within a few days all the fish in our tank died. We had some of those fish for several years and we have to completely clean the tank and start over. When we complained to the store, they couldn't care less.

No longer allowing cats to their grooming services? Won't get any of our business anymore then. Legit never had a groomer say they cant cut cat nails only dogs have brought my cat here multiple times in the past. Owner may have hired some idiotic or lazy staff12/12/2023 Going to edit this review again since the owner reached out on here. Called the store again and again they are saying they will not work with cats only dogs. I believe if this is not policy you have some employees that are refusing to work with certain animals out of preference. Owners need to be active in their own stores

I got a parakeet, it doesn’t seems healthy so I asked the owner if it had any warranty, he said it does have 14 days if something happens with the parakeet, 2 days after that the parakeet died, we came back to the store and he refused to give us the money back just assuming that parakeet died for our fault.We have dogs, cats, fish, parakeet and we take good care of them. And he blamed on us.

Never again will I order at this store I’ll stick to the one in Stony Point they treat customers with respect, today 12/18/23 I went to the store to pick up my items that I purchased on line n also to buy more stuff for my 4 furr babies, let me tell you how rude the was towards my husband and I, I asked the guy where’s our other bag of food that we purchased and he said oh we didn’t have it, so I said why anyone hasn’t called me to see if I wanted to exchange it for another flavor and he goes that’s not my job it’s your job to call is to see if we hav it or not and he refused to call a manager, he said I’m not calling them because I already know what there goin to say, I said r u serious I said please get me a manager he said no, I said ok paid for my stuff and left he goes and say losing one customer isn’t anything to us by and don’t ever come back. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO TO THIS STORE EVER AGAIN….. The guy name was Chris and there also was an older gentleman with him also rude. Didn’t get his name because he wouldn’t give it to me… Oh and Chris also stated that this store is a family owned operated, ok 😂 good one.UPDATE 12-20-23I called the store to speak to a manager on 12-19-23 don’t really know if I really spoke to a manager because when I told him my side of the story I felt like he didn’t believe me at all, he said was I’ll speak to Chris to see what he says, manager said he’ll call me back after he speaks to Chris, I still didn’t get a call back at all. I felt like he didn’t care at all didn’t even ask to fix the problem. I don’t think I was speaking to a manager because a manager would know how to make it right.12-21-23Yet it’s another day and I still haven’t heard back from a manager. That’s why I said I don’t think I was talking to a manager.12-28-23So yet a week goes by and I still haven’t heard anything from the manager at this store. I got a phone call from the company, lady said she was goin to call me back the very next day in the morning to keep my cell with me, and it’s been a week and I haven’t gotten that call at all. I’m guessing this company just really doesn’t care about there customers at all, for everything I went through this just shows me a lot.

I recently purchased a reptile light from Pet Supply Plus located at 3333 Crompond Road, Yorktown Height, NY 10598. The item was purchase back on July 22nd, 2022. The light bulb blew out on July 27th, 2022. Only 5 days later. I returned to the store with the damaged item and receipt. All I wanted was an even exchange for the item and the owner refused to honor the exchange, stating that there might have been a power surge in my house that blew out the light bulb. I never had a power surge during that time frame and I have plenty of other light bulbs in my house that are still working just fine. Plus I also have a power surge protector attached to my reptile setup. I have been going there sines the store opened and have spent a lot of money in the store. It’s unfortunate that the owner will lose a customer over a $12 light bulb. I will never return to this store to shop here. The owner is not the friendliest at all. It’s the older lady with the white hair. Her staff on the other hand are extremely pleasant to deal with. Hopefully this review will discourage people from spending their hard earned money in a store with people who work there that are not the friendliest towards their customers.

The young staff member helped carry my dog food from the shelf, to the checkout counter, and into my car. I have 2 dogs so it was quite the large food bag! He was immensely helpful and kind. Excellent service! 5/5

I bought a green parakeet 2 days before, it died in my house (it was definitely sick) and I went and they didn't give me my money back and they didn't give me change. I will never return!!!!!!!

I was reading the reviews and I just can’t believe this people I’ve been a shopping here for 3 years now and never had any issues not even returning OPEN dog food. The owner told me try the food and if you dog don’t eat it bring it back. Never had any issues with staff either.I’m giving 4 stars just because sometimes they are missing some food bag sizes and it takes a couple of days to get them in stock. Thats all !!!Support local you all !!!

This is Maddy Cohen. I’ll first address Paul Cruz’s comment. Paul, it would be nice if you told the truth. Our customer orders Fresh Pet weekly as this is the only food his elderly dog can eat. When we put items on hold, they are only for the persons name on the product. You know this since we special ordered YOUR dog food on a regular basis.You didn’t steal from us, but you stole from the elderly dog who depends on this food.Secondly, to Olivia:We regularly have relatives of card members who shop using their parents club card. At no time have I ever denied a person from using their parents membership card.I wish both of you a happy future shopping elsewhere. In all honesty, I cannot expect any retailer who would welcome customers like you.

@maddy cohen this is Paul’s wife please correct yourself, in this situation that food was in your fridge for over a week, MY HUSBAND PAID FOR THE FOOD AND YOUR EMPLOYEES HAD NO ISSUE WITH SELLING IT TO US. When you call screaming and being unprofessional my husband still offered to bring it back but you began calling him names in that case that you just wanted an apology. Which is ridiculous you don’t run a store and think you can speak to people how ever you want. I have reached out to corporate because as we tried making the situation better you still went on telling my husband to be a man for what reason ? Because you’re lazy and don’t want to order more food ?On top of that hun you have never ordered us any special food we always bought tundra. You are nobodies mother but your kids and no one’s wife but your husband so act like the store manager you are and treat people correct

I was met with rudeness. My mother introduced me here when I got a cat and moved out. Every time since coming here a woman, named Matty, constantly asks if my mother goes there and when I say yes, I'm told it's one account per household. I don't live with my mom and she deactivated my account even though I live on the other side of the county.I well now use to come here cause it's close to my job. Will no longer support this business after this treatment

This is the third time I went to this store and cannot believe the rude customer service provided. I have been going here since they first opened and they've always been very nice and helpful, especially the owner's wife. However the last three times the employees working there it is almost impossible to find any help. The workers are scarce and when you do find one they don't want to be bothered. I frequent this store to obtain crickets and other supplies for my reptiles and the last three times I have encountered the same rude employees. The front staff tells you to look in the back of the store for help and the one person you find working in a random isle has a terrible attitude. Today was the last straw. They had an entire crate of large crickets and the girl refused to give me any. With a nasty tone in her voice she said they were out of crickets, meanwhile there was a crate full of them right in front of me! I said what about these, she then stated we haven't received our shipment yet and these are for the ones in the store and walked away. No customer service skills whatsoever, just attitude and didn't want to be bothered. She simply just doesn't care. This store will no longer receive my business!

This place is a joke go to pet mart where they price match cheaper prices owner is classless. Tons of complains from our community better shops to support locally from people that actually live in our area. Owners cry broke all the time no one wants to hear your sob stories. So many 1 star review because of the owners. Go other places and they will price match everything from online. Do support this store and get these ignorant people out of our beloved community

A few days ago, I had a rude encounter with the owner’s wife as I entered the store. This was not the first time I experienced an unprofessional encounter but was willing to give it another try. I immediately left and went to PetSmart where I had a great experience and walked out with a lovely hamster and all the necessary supplies. I will not be returning to Pet Supplies Plus and have made friends and family aware to shop elsewhere.

Besides the fact that this store runs sales, and so many items are out of stock, the owner is extremely rude. It is unfortunate, because the rest of her staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgable. I will not make the mistake of shopping here again no matter how good the sales appear to be**Don't believe the response from the owner. She flat out told me that she didn't care if I shopped elsewhere, and walked away. We had only asked her to honor a store coupon because we didn't have internet access to find it on our phone, and she blamed it on corporate offices.

Probably THE WORST place I have ever walked in to to wash my own dog.It is a shame that myself & other local friends can no longer come here because we have had enough with the rudeness from specifically the manager . I have given it many tries & it only gets worse. I am amazed each time how she is always arguing with someone in front of everyone.We have found an amazing spot in Mahopac that we are so grateful to have now.A shame.

I suggest that all people get a pet so they can experience the pleasure of going to Pet Supplies Plus. Also,some of the dog bones have a rather pleasing taste and take the plaqque off my teeth.

Very clean, we'll organized,staff is super friendly and courteous. Jeff and Maddy the owners are great people and go out of their way for the customers along with their son Eddie who also works there. Great selection of all your pet product needs and the prices are great. If they don't have it they will go out of their way to get it for you. Very happy with pet supplies plus only place I go for my pet needs. Finally saw the puppy wash back of the store so have to bring our 2 boxers in for a wash. Why mess up the bathtub at home and hurt my back leaning in when they have high wash tubs specifically for dog washing.
