This store has designers to guide you through the task of finding the perfect paint color, wallpaper, fabrics, and window coverings. I went in to choose wallpaper for an accent wall. They had hundreds of wallpaper books, it was overwhelming! Laura, one of the designers, asked what I was looking for, she pulled out several books for me to view right away. She listened to what I was trying to achieve and helped coordinate the paint colors. I sent photos of my kitchen and bathroom. She advised on paint color in kitchen and wallpaper design for the bathroom. She was spot on everything! Looks amazing! Laura has a great sense of style and trust her choices! Looking forward to working with her when I do the rest of my house.

Best service i have seen in a long time. Called everywhere looking for a certain type of wallpaper, and every placed i called blew me off. Tara, from the design department took her time explaining some things to me and got me in the store so i can make my purchase. Thank you so much. 10/10.

I ordered vertical blinds from the Port Chester location and had a wonderful buying experience. The sales rep went out of her way to help me place the order and kept me informed of the progress. I picked the order up in the White Plains location and the sales rep there was just as nice. Overall it was a very pleasant purchase from people who truly seemed to value your business. Keep up the good work!

I have been working on a few remodeling projects on the house and a decided to come to Wallaure over Home Depot and I'm happy I did. First off as soon as we walked in the door multiple people greeted me and asked to help. Jason and Rich in the paint department were great and helped me pick out a specific color I had been searching for. Then I went down stairs to find wallpaper and Laura was very attentive and helpful. I will be back for sure. I love the intimate and personalized experience here. 10/10 customer service.

I am writing this post for a second time, because my first post got buried. I believe it is important enough to write again, for a second time and Post. I apologize for the redundancy.I give one star because I am compelled to order to provide feedback. I am a 73 year old female Wallauer Ace Hardware customer who went into the store yesterday 7/17. In seeking help in trying to figure out what to buy for my project, had the misfortune if interacting with apathetic Ace Hardware employee who clearly wanted ti be any place but at work that day. In my frustration, my tone began to take a sarcastic turn and he said to me in an aggressive manner “Don’t ‘F’ with my Sunday. I replied, “Well that’s a nice prayer.”I returned later in the day and asked if he remembered me. Seems like it would have been a moment when he might have expressed some remorse. However, I did not return seeking an apology, rather to give him a photo copy of a prayer I had written.yet hear we are at the closing of another daythat we might prayfor anotherto liveto laughto loveto playand as we drift into slumber may our heartfelt songbe one of gratitudeand satisfactionthat we have done no wrong to ourselvesby doing wrongto anotherbut by the very leasthave shown kindnessor patienceor goodwillthat we shall receiveas much in return

Had great experiences with paint department. Staff is always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. If you need 'extra help' I recommend going later in the day after the contractor rush. Always my go to store for paint:)

I quit home depot for my regular hardware needs. The staff has always been amazingly helpful and are very knowledgeable. They have most things I need, although occasionally I do need to go to that big box store.

The staff here was incredibly helpful - I showed up an hour before closing the night before a blizzard, and they took the time to help me find all the samples I needed and discuss my options, and even gave me a heads-up when I was looking at one that was twice as expensive as the other colors. I was able to keep my painting project on track despite the weather, and could not be more grateful!

My husband,, my young son and I were in the North White Plains location this morning, people who work there need to work in their customer service skills, specially a skinny guy who works at the paint counter He was very loud, and sarcastic. We asked simple questions about paint to help us with our needs and he spoke down to us, never answered our questions, we didn't like the way we were treated, we left the store without buying anything and went to Sherwin Williams in White Plains, we got the service we needed there and spent $600.00 worth of painting supplies, the customer service at SW was worth every dollar of our money.

This this is kind of a medium-sized hardware store that has a good selection of products and some good quality choices. Generally speaking it's relatively easy to get help. It reminds me more of what hardware stores are like when I was growing up. It's big enough to find almost everything you need but small enough to not be too big

My husband has shopped at Wallauer over the years when he needed tools or materials for his avocation as a handyman. Tonight I needed to return some weatherstripping that he had bought that was not the right color but it was what they had a few days ago. He ultimately found some someplace else that had the color he needed and I was returning it. I pulled into the driveway at 6:54. This site says that they close at seven. I was surprised that the automatic doors didn’t open and when I looked and I saw someone coming toward me and I smiled and he walked up to the inner door and locked it in my face!! My own choice over the years for a hardware store has been Berger Hardware in Thornwood. You may rest assured that that’s where I will be going for anything I need to do in the future. And my husband may return his own purchases!

George Oberhauser, the Hardware Manager was very knowledgeable and informative in helping me purchase a Weber grill. Directed me to perfect size grill for my needs. Did not try to upsell me. Hard to get this kind of help in larger home supply store chains. Will be shopping there again.

Ordering a new Weber grill during a pandemic supply chain shortage probably wasn't the smartest idea on my part. It was, all told, 5 weeks until I received it. Manager George took my order, stayed in touch with me on a weekly basis, apprised me along the way and even delivered it to my house personally. I consider this service above and beyond! Bravo! Just another reason why I don't prefer the big box stores.

Called to place a paint order over the phone, the employee said he likes doing things in person, and won't do it over the phone. When you are in the store, workers have an attitude, make it seem like they are going out of there way to make paint for you, as if it wasn't their job.

My coop purchased some tile from this store, at the recommendation of one of their employees. When it was delivered, it was not the size the employee had promised us, and the store won't give us a refund. I would recommend caution in dealing with this store.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE!I used to work for Hunter Douglas years ago, so my husband and I decided we wanted a specific product for our sliders. I popped into their "Design Center” toA) see if this product is still being produced andB) check out available colors and fabrics.Upon entering, 3 people were behind the desk offering help – an Asian woman (Let’s call her “Woman-A”), a white man (innocent bystander), and a white woman with straight blonde/light brown hair, ~mid-50’s (Let’s call her Woman-B). I really wish I had gotten her name, but I was so taken aback, that I left in a hurry.ME: “I actually used to work for Hunter Douglas and want to buy some Skylines for my sliders, but not sure if they still make the product.”(looking confused, Woman-B turns to Woman-A)WOMAN-A to WOMAN-B (pointing): “Yes, Skylines, over there.”ME: “OK great, do you have some samples that I can look at to see the different colors and fabrics?”WOMAN-B: “We can take some take some measurements for you. We don't normally show you any samples until after we take measurements and get you closer to what you need.”Um, do you mean the product I came in specifically asking for BY NAME for a specific window?ME (obviously frustrated): “Fine, I guess I’ll just leave then.”WOMAN-B: “OK.”So rather than just show me samples of what I wanted, Woman-B continued with a hard sell and let me walk out, clearly unhappy. It was a truly terrible customer experience. If I had to guess, she made incorrect assumptions about my budget by judging my telecommuting wardrobe of a ponytail and yoga pants. Big mistake, lady!Wallauer's, if you're reading this, you should speak to this woman who was working on 2/9/16 around 1 p.m. to ensure she doesn't insult any more customers.

This location in particular - and the Wallauer brand itself are simply the best.Staffed with experienced and helpful staff and a product line and expanse that offer more than any other brand and supply - every visit provides exactly what you need in terms of both selection and best customer service you can find. If your buying paint here - you know your stuff an are getting Benjamin Moore -the best there IS. These guys understand branding, understand how important great customer service is and make sure they get it right. I've been in business as a home improvement contractor, specifically a painter- for over thirty years. Been to quite a few suppliers- NONE even compare to these guys.I will go out of my way to use NWP Wallauers no matter where my job location takes me. GO HERE - it will start off your project RIGHT.MAGNUM PAINTING.

Went to Port Chester store they didn't even know how to install a tip on a graco. Then they told me.... we don't have the product you are looking for, but we have it in white plains, so the cashier call to Wallaver in white plains. I drove all the way to white plains just to find out they don't have it.
