Good service, knowledgable mechanics , but they are pricey, cost me $157.00 to get four tires mounted and balanced, compared to Walmart at $80.00 for same service.

I brought my SUV here under unusual and unexpected circumstances, I'm from out-of-state and had been camping in Lake George over the recent holiday weekend. My car had started making a horrible grinding sound so I called first thing when they opened on Tuesday, and I'm glad I did. They were able to get me right in as soon as I could get there, had the problem solved quickly and I could tell while I waited (around an hour or so) that this is a top quality establishment, family-owned and truly a trustworthy place to bring my car. The kind of place the repeat local customers bring donuts into for the crew there. Randy was a pleasure to interact with and he charged me a very reasonable price for a service I felt was worth its weight in Gold. Now I'm back in Massachusetts wishing my new favorite garage wasn't 3.5hrs away.

I could not have asked for better service. My tiny trailer came unhitched on the Northway. Between the troopers and warren county sheriffs they brought me to this garage to replace my connector for lights on the trailer. They took care of me on a holiday weekend!! I was in and out and operational to continue my travels to lake Champlain in about a half hour. It was service above and beyond !! Thank you again.

Him and the other mechanics were still working on my car and, after noticing my my concern about being late to an appointment, he offered to let me use his car. I have a 2014 F250 diesel that was having some problems over a weekend trip to Lake George. I called them Monday morning as soon as they opened. They told me to bring the truck in as soon as I could and they would try to have it done by the end of the day. 6hrs later, we got our truck back and we were able to drive home to Ohio. They may not be the cheapest in the area, but I highly recommend!

He went back on his word twice as to when he would come tow my car, and when when I told him the new sugested time wouldn't work he told me that if he could not come get it then, than he wouldn't work on it at all.

We came into the Lake George area with car issues that popped up just as we arrived! Finding a place to check the engine to see what the problem was and then service our car became a real issue. Luckily we found Viele's. They were able to get us in within days (not weeks!) and do the repairs quickly. We are very pleased. I got a flat outside of Warrensburg yesterday afternoon and was towed right to Viele's. Randy came out, greeted me, went and found a tire that fit and within 20 minutes I was on my way. The service was fast and friendly and Randy was fantastic to deal with. It was the end of the day, basically about 20 minutes before their closing time, and they didn't hesitate to help me out. The service was incredibly affordable too; I am convinced that they charged me way less than another shop might have. I highly recommend Viele's to anyone needing mechanical work.Service: Tires

This past winter my car died a few miles outside of town while I was on a ski trip. I had it towed to Viele’s and the next morning the shop had diagnosed the belt & alternator issues. I had to leave town on a quick timetable and the family at the shop was able to track down parts and get the work done expeditiously. I never write reviews, but I needed to rate this shop. My husband and I are in the area from NJ, and we ended up broken down literally in the middle of nowhere, on the side of a mountain. After 45 painful minutes on the phone w/ my insurance company, only for them to tell me they could not help me, I called the state police and Viele’s came highly recommended. Within 5 minutes, I had a tow truck on the way and an ETA (which proved to be perfectly accurate). When Randy (I believe that was the gentleman’s name) arrived, he quickly determined that it was the battery (thankfully), and he saved us the tow charge by jumping us and then allowing us to just follow him to the shop. Once at the shop, we were taken care of immediately, and we were on our way w/ a new battery and cables w/in about 45 minutes. Viele’s literally saved our vacation - it went from a nightmare morning to a blissful experience that allowed us to continue on w/ our day. (And the restroom was one of the cleanest I’ve ever seen at an auto shop/garage!)

I was traveling south on the Northway on a Monday morning, the start of a 200 mile trip, when a brake line popped at exit 23. Viele's towed me in and within 2 hours I was back on my way. I made it home hours earlier than I expected after a breakdown on the highway. To say I was happy with their service is a huge understatement.

While on our way to Lake Placid, my husband and I had a flat on the Northway. The car had originally had airless tires, so we didn’t have a spare. We were in an area with no cell service. Thankfully a state trooper happened upon us and was able to radio a tow truck. Randy, the owner of Viele’s, came out. It was very cold and past closing time of his business, yet he put us in his waiting area and took care of us, at a very reasonable cost. My wife and I were traveling thru the area from MA on a 1 week camping trip, when our GMC pickup broke down about 1 minute from this garage. As it was our only vacation this year, we thought for sure the week finished before it got started. We hobbled the truck into Randy’s shop and though he was swamped, he was very understanding and squeezed us in. He diagnosed a failed wheel bearing and was able to get the parts needed, and the labor was very reasonable. Randy was very kind to us (even our old dog). We were on our way by the end of the day. The office manager (and the shop dog) was also very friendly and professional. The entire experience renewed our faith in good people, and was a “value-add” to our vacation.
