Locally owned grocery store that has been a community staple for years. Full service meat counter, and a big deli selection including house made cold cuts. Produce is usually pretty good. Sometimes you'll find great deals to stock up on, sometimes you'll pay a little extra than if you had shopped around. Try the house made potato chips back by the deli. It's nice to have a truly local option to shop and support

The store was clean and organized. This was my first time there . Set up is a lot different from your average grocery store. I went for an item on sale. I looked around a little bit. Some products seemed high compared to other stores in the area.

Definitely not your average grocery store in both a good way and not? They carry all sorts of items hard to find other places especially some of their imported foods. The atmosphere is certainly unique though with a giant cardboard cut out of the pope in their bakery department.

Best prime rib we've ever had. Melt in your mouth delicious. Star ⭐of the holidays. Bought a 5 rib roast rubbed with herb oil and placed in smoker. Absolutely will purchase again.

great local, family owned supermarket. great variety of food and fresh produce. tons of their own brand spices and sauces. donuts aren't very good. chanatry also carry items that aren't available at the chains. parking is great and well lit.

Love this LOCAL store, lots of nice sales, large selection of meats (steaks, pork ribs, and awesome "Utica Burgers"!), produce, and great amount of local beers to choose from! Especially friendly staff too!

Good quality foods, however....some of store staff is exceedingly rude, un - friendly, right ?? Rude old dude in seafood dept... not shopping here anymore, going to miss this store. Enough is enough!!!!

I go there because I can walk there. I have never been to a more expensive grocery store in my entire. It's insane how they up their prices to the point where I almost think it's not legal

For the 1st time shopping at Chanatry's I was impressed. The grocery store had everything you would want in a grocery store. I liked that they had a lot of locally made products. Support your city. I will go back there.

Came in after work after a friend recommended the meat selection. Got there around 7:35 -7:40 and pulled the ticket to wait my turn and instead of being advised they were closed for the night the guy caught an attitude and walked off mumbling under his breath . About 2 minutes go by and I see a different worker and asked “ is the meat department closed?” And with the same attitude I was told they closed at 7 ( which I didn’t know since the store hours only say when they open and that they close at 9) I proceed to say thanks for letting me know since the guy in the back just ignored I was here and walked away. Kinda sad because I was looking forward to the selection of meats but the experience alone makes me not want to come back .

Best butcher/meat around town. Quality= you get what you pay for. Never gotten any bad meat from here. This store also has tons of deals on pasta, drinks, and many other weekly specials. Dry goods and canned products are a little higher 💰 than other nearby markets. Utica blue bags sold here.

The produce is very fresh and the chicken is always great! $1.98 a pound for boneless chicken in 2022 is a steal. The prices of some products have inflated yearly but this store has managed to level the price of the most bought products; ensuring consumers that they are still able to purchase the products they need while combating inflation. You’ll never go wrong getting meat from Chantry’s.

I was very impressed to see so many foods that are locally made. Great selection and the costs are not much different from other stores. The butcher meat area is awesome!! I definitely will come back again. Thank you work for the gift certificate to remind me of this wonderful store!

Cashiers were very friendly, Helped me out in finding what I needed. I've been shopping here for the past couple years and the service has gotten better and better. The selection of food is really good. The only problem is prices being higher than other stores but they still have physical cashier's so I don't blame them. Great place!
