My cat is healing well, and the prices are extremely reasonably! I traveled almost an hour to meet up with them. It would be great if they could come closer to the capital district, but it is still appreciatedThe first lady I dealt with was a bit abrasive. However, the other two ladies were quite lovely.

Do not recommend! Bridget has terrible bedside manner. She’s seems so nice and sweet over the phone but in person is rude and nasty! I’ve used her services twice now for my cats and have spent over $1.4k. I couldn’t imagine treating my customers the way she has treated me and my cats. First time I let the snide remarks slide and thought oh maybe she’s having a bad day. Well the second time was no different, in fact it was worse! After them checking in my cats she came out to say that there would be an additional charge for “the big fat one because she’s so terribly overweight”. Ok not a problem but she is a large breed cat weighing 10 lbs and has been on steroids. 10 lbs is certainly not terribly overweight considering and she just had a physical with our local vet the week before who said nothing about her being overweight. Bridget proceeded to throw 3 of my carriers out the door and told my kids to pick them up. I was told to pick up no later than 4 pm and arrived at 3:45 pm in which I was told to wait until 4 pm. Ok no problem. I pick up my cats and her daughter proceeds to tell me yet again how horribly fat my cat is and actually wrote on her paperwork “fat”. We get home and my poor “fat” cat’s stomach looks awful! She is in severe pain, has significant bruising and a much larger incision than normal. Still two days later she is not herself. It’s like she took all her aggression out while spaying my cat. I have been in tears over this and will never return! Bridget and her team do not care about the animals at all! They have made that quite clear.

Just picked up 6 kitties from a spay/neuter clinic , very impressed with the system they have. Im so thankful for their services and would gladly use them again. A grateful foster mom . Recommend them totally!!

I had an excellent experience getting my daughter's adolescent kitty neutered. I had tried for days to find a vet in the Albany area who'd neuter him within the next week or so, but no luck. The earliest date I could find was in January over a month away -- NOT soon enough for a kitty who's started marking his territory. Ahem.Finally I found out about the wonderful Upstate Spay & Neuter Service. They don't offer primary care -- just basic preventive medicine for pets, delivered with great skill in a timely manner at a very reasonable price.I was able to get an appointment in under 48 hours. The care was excellent: capable caring veterinarian , good client education, and an ultra-efficient process. It was an hour away from my house, but 100% worth the trip.Every county should have a service like this!{Photo below is the happy patient, resting at home a few hours post-op.)

No post-op care, cat screamed all night in pain, tried contacting the Post Surgery number numerous times as early as 6 am, because i felt so bad, she was so lethargic and obviously in pain. Drove to Latham Animal hospital only to find out she had an extremely low RBC count obviously hemorrhaged during surgery or had leukemia so $500 later she tested negative to leukemia and needed a blood transfusion or surgery to correct her condition. We had to make the hardest decision and put her asleep. So do yourself and your animals a favor use a local vet who cares about you and your loved one not how many surgeries and how much money can be made in a day. Butcher Shop stay away very unprofessional, RIP little girl😥

I was excited to get a less expensive option for neuter- since this is my 6th pup. Called to make an appointment today and the doctor called me back-gave me one date option , which didn’t work. She immediately got flustered and lost her patience and insisted I look at the calendar of availability (which I didn’t know was even an option) I said the next Kingston date is fine to which she repeated herself again (frustrated) that I need to look at calendar. I said any date is fine. She responded annoyed, “well then we’re in September!” Then she hung up on me. I then text her how unprofessional that was and no response. Happy I didn’t take my dog here- she sounds absolutely awful. Maybe that’s why real vet offices are more?Wow. Lol

Dr. Bloom and her vet tech were very friendly, courteous and professional. I took my two kittens to get spayed and everything went well. After the surgeries, Dr. Bloom goes over all of the aftercare and what to look out for if your animal seems off, etc... and she was more than happy and willing to answer questions.A+++ all the way around!

I had my kitty neutered with Upstate Spay and Neuter yesterday. I have to say I couldn't be happier! First, I want to say not to be put off that this is a mobile service. The staff here was very friendly and professional. Maybe even more friendly then my regular vet! My cats surgery went without a hitch. The best part is the price. For $75 they do the surgery, give a rabies shot AND trim the cats nails! I opted for the Feline FELV/FIV test for an additional $30 and a microchip for $40. This same service would have cost near $600 through a vet. I highy, highly recommend! Don't forget this is not a walk-up service, you do have to call for a reservation. Peppo may be missing some of his \man-parts, but he has recovered 100%!

Dr. Bloom and her team are the best. The services and price make it possible for people to get their pets fixed and other necessary vaccines without breaking the bank. What she is doing in the big scheme of things for the animal population by having this mobile clinic and making it financially accessible is amazing. I wish there were more vets willing to give and do as much as she does.

This business does not care about the animals they work on!!!! They only care about the money!!!!! My dog was to be fixed and the morning of the scheduled appointment my 5 year old son gave our dog food when he was not suppose to eat (because our child is 5 and doesn’t know better). Well we called and told her what happened and that we were sorry and asked if we could still bring our dog in or if we could reschedule. She said she would call us back and when she did she was extremely unprofessional and rude and told us that she will not reschedule us and that we are not allowed to schedule in the future either. Very rude and unprofessional ! Do not take your animal here find someone else that has a heart and is understanding. I will be contacting the ownership of all the business parking lots she uses and filling a complaint.

While I find the veterinarian and her assistant to be a little bit on the rooted and disrespectful side they do a really good job and somebody once said that they are thorough I gave them 5 stars because they took very good care of my cats but 1st approach I did not realize that I had to wait for somebody to show up before I could check in my animals and they were a little bit harsh and course it on it. But otherwise oh no I'm very good experience. And as I watched the veterinarian with other animals and animal owner's I would highly advise that they actually treat the cat arms with a little bit more respect.

Great!!!!! Having fur babies can be expensive, plus having the non fur babies is also expensive. So to be able to afford services needed for your pets without cutting into feeding your kids is great. It gives me the opportunity to be responsible and provide our pets things that are needed and that will keep them healthy.

I honestly was somewhat hesitant, but decided that someone who performs this specific service day in and out is who I wanted to perform my puppy’s neutering. I am really happy I did. Dr Bloom was quick to return my call when we spoke she was cheerful, information focused. I felt very comfortable by just speaking with her.The morning of the surgery, she was kind to my nervous husband when he dropped our puppy off. At pickup, I felt a little unsure of what to expect as I approached the truck and 4 others were waiting. However, a friendly and efficient nurse came right out and gave general info and an opportunity to ask any questions. Animals were quickly returned to their owners and I was pleasantly surprised at the efficiency of the process. I can’t imagine having to “process” that many customers in a short amount of time, but they do it, and do it well. From the time I arrived, I was driving away with my puppy within 10 minutes, maybe less.The cost was extremely reasonable (about half of our vet’s estimate) and the complimentary nail trim was the best trim he’s ever had, out of several professional groomings. Most importantly, he recovered very quickly and the surgical site has had no issues. I appreciated being sent home with the pain med/anti-inflammatory for a few days (also included). I appreciated being able to have microchipping done while he was already under anesthesia.If you read through their website and know what to expect, I think you’ll be very happy with Upstate Spay and Neuter. I would recommend them to anyone.

I arrived 5 minutes late, with 7 cats. Bridget didn’t even consider asking me why (there was construction on the roads and I live more than 30 mins away), and told me she wouldn’t take me. It was more important to her to spite me than to earn the income from 7 spay/neuters and 14 vaccinations. She is also very gruff and impatient. So we will no longer be using her services, even if they are cheaper.

We went to the Kingston location and had our little Gypsy(cat) spayed. They where so helpful and so nice. They took such good care of her and explained all instructions for her care at home. I had some other questions that they answered them all. I was a little worried at first, always going to a veterinarian office, but, I left there knowing that I will be bringing our 2 kittens there also. I will be telling more people about this wonderful service.

I don’t usually write negative reviews but I’m just simply tired of being made to feel discriminated or stereotyped against when being serviced! I received a call a day prior in confirmation for an appointment to have my child’s adolescent young kitten to be neutered. I was informed of the arrival times between 7:30am - 9:00am. I reside about 30 to 35 minutes away, give or take with traffic from their stationed mobile location. Traveling five miles “under” the speed limit due to 3 cars and a large semi truck in front of me, traveling on 9W, practically bumper to bumper, I arrived exactly at 9:04am today! Upon arrival, I noticed the door of the mobile truck with the company’s logo on it shut and three people standing outside with their pets waiting to be serviced. It is 30 degrees outside, (very cold)! As I’m pulling into the parking lot thinking to myself that perhaps they’re not even open yet being that it’s barely five minutes after nine and thinking that I still made it in spite of traffic, the door of the mobile truck swings open and out charges this relatively large lady named, “Bridget” directly towards me in front of everyone, screaming at me, “Your Late”! Before, I could say anything to defend myself because she was So blatantly rude, short tempered and impatient and had now embarrassed me, she immediately turns away from me and takes her time waiting on the 3 other customers whom were previously outside waiting with their animals “first” now leaving me to only stand there in the cold with my animal for another 10 to 15 minutes to become further late out of spite, smh. If my child’s adolescence kitten were not in need of being neutered in order to keep him from spraying in my home being that I’m OCD, then I would have waited and took him elsewhere! None the less, I was still patient enough to wait as she serviced these people first with politeness and then me with rudeness thereafter! Finally upon retrieving my pet next to be serviced as I had to fill out paperwork and then pay, she further humiliates me with her stereotypical comment, stating to me loudly yet again rudely, “As I was combing your pet’s fur, he has fleas, therefore, your house has fleas”! I resent her comment because obviously, she knows nothing of me or how I live, again, I am OCD!! I keep my environment (home) very clean along with my small pets!! Perhaps, it is the mobile truck that has the “fleas” being that they service animals as a profession and those fleas “may have” jumped on my pet upon boarding! This is a “Never” again aggravated experience for me and a lesson learned!!!

Bridget and Emma have been caring for my 15 cats for so long now. I first met Bridget when she worked at my old Vets office. Then I ran into her 8 years ago when she was doing the spay and neutering for the SPCA. Since then she has been my home vet. She is the best and I am so happy and lucky to have her to care for my fur babies.

More than pleased with this mobile unit. Very convenient and cost effective. Had our male cat, Moses, neutered, and he did wonderfully. Along with neutering/spaying, they also do nail trimming, rabies vaccines, Feline leukemia testing, provide flea and tick treatments. They may also offer other services, but this is what I saw. I would highly recommend this business.

Pretty good place esp for the price. The typical cost is $150 but we paid $175 (included an anti-inflammatory) because he was over the 30 pound limit. Our dog also got a rabies shot for only $10. Dropped him off at 8am and picked him up at 4:30pm. They also trimmed his nails 👍

Decent place but the smell is awful. I recently had my dog spayed there and still can’t get the smell out of her fir. It smells like a thousand cats peed in a room with no ventilation.

There are so many positive things to say about Dr. Bloom that it's a struggle to do so without writing an essay.One is her authenticity & the way she knows exactly how to put a stressed animal at ease.My beautiful, elderly female Calico stopped eating a few days ago & I kick myself for assuming that she was being finicky & merely having a bad week.Dr. Bloom was instantly honest with me when she saw my cat; that it is most definitely a sign of something far more serious.I knew that at nearly 20 years old that it would be selfish to avoid putting her down & instead suggesting a myriad of tests & fluids (the way many vets would have) Dr. Bloom confirmed that it was the right thing to do let her go.I was a nervous mess & she somehow managed to even put me at ease.Today is not an easy day, a day that all of us have experienced, but I just thank God that Dr. Bloom made herself available as soon as she possibly could.I'm eternally grateful to her.

I have brought my animal's there a couple times the older lady with white hair was mean to my animal's and to me,not helpful,rude,mean,nasty and threw the dogs at me. I cant imagine what she does with the animal's when we are not around. My dog comes back scared.she really should be fired. Not a job for her. Not professional at all.
