Bob's is a very nice classic "smaller town" Ace hardware store. VERY helpful staff, very good variety of stock- their selection of oddball nuts/bolts/etc in the pull-out drawers is great- blows some of the "big box" stores away. I really prefer to go here before any "big box" place- if they don't have it, they will tell me where to go to find it.For me, they are conveniently located- that won't help you necessarily.Along those lines, Jreck Subs is only a few blocks west. YUM.

Super helpful store when I need something I'd usually have to drive further out to get. Bob's has saved me time and gas alot. The staff here has always been really helpful as well.

The employees that work here are some of the rudest and most incompetent people I have EVER worked with in retail. Snarky responses, rude demeanor, lack of product knowledge. Overall they are not a group that should ever be working in customer service.Incredibly rude to my elderly father on multiple occasions. In one case outright insulting him in front of other customers. Rude to me. Rude to a friend of mine that was helping me with a project. I have gone here 3 different times and every single time has been awful. The older woman up front and the shorter man who works in the back are the worst ones.If Ace reads these reviews. Coming from a current GM in another area of retail... clean house. These people are ruining this location and will start driving away business.

Nice & helpful staff. I enjoy spending time here to get items for my home. I lived in the area over 15 years & they are my go to store. This week i went for garden items & I wanted to tip the gentleman for his service & he would not accept it. I want to say a HUGH thank you for your assistance.

Two employees standing by the door asked me what I was looking for. Just pointed in the direction and said it's on that side. I struggled to find what I was looking for in plain view of the employees that appeared to be to busy looking at their phones. I went over and asked the lady where the item I was looking for was located, she replied they were out of stock. I asked her why they didn't tell me that when I first asked and the reply was we must have mistaken what you wanted. Then a quick "Sorry" then back to her phone.Worst service I've seen many years of shopping here. Will hesitate to return to the former awesome local business. Definitely not the Bob's Hardware service it used to be.

They are racist do not spend money at this place Sarah was just plain rude and not helpful at all she should not work in customer service very rude! I've been to plenty of stores that ask if you need help with coupons ect. I'll take the drive to true value over bobs anyday!

It was Bob's true value hardware before it changed over to Ace hardware just recently. That didn't change the excellent customer service that the staff provides. Maybe a wee bit more expensive than the big box stores, but you do get personalized attention.

The attention I get from John is unmatched. Sure, big box stores often beat smaller stores on price, but the service is more important to me. Friendly, and very helpful service keeps me returning to Ace over, and over again.

I recently purchased a beautiful new snowblower here. They had the model I wanted in stock and held it for me until I was able to go withdraw the cash to purchase it. The price was the same as the big box stores. I was offered free delivery, although told they were a bit behind. Despite being “behind,” my new snowblower was delivered 6 days later at a time that was highly convenient for my family. When I called to check in on the timeline for delivery, a friendly employee asked what time would work best. I said 1:00 and that is what time it arrived. I am ready for what winter throws my way!

Cute corner hardware store. Lots to offer, pricey compared to big box stores, but conveniently located. 25% coupon lured me in. Manager was very attentive and helpful. Bought an item, the cashier, young redhead Elizabeth was inconvenienced by my asking for a rewards keytag to accumulate points. I had to ask for it, it was not offered. This was after she asked for my phone number and my account was not found. I then remembered that my rewards account was set up under True Value and store is now an Ace. Elizabeth flatly stated "we're not True Value anymore". Well okay,....
