Wonderful experience. I have been going here for about a decade now and while it was hard to schedule appointments during Covid (which I hear was the case with most all vets) due to restrictions and everyone at home with nothing to do trying to make appointments, it was no hassle getting my 3 pets in recently this year. I have an anxious senior dog that can work himself into panic attacks/seizures and chili animal care was super accommodating. Joy and Xavier at reception gave my pup time to acclimate and reassured him all is well, a great tech named Sue did the same in the exam room and was very gentle and careful to keep him at ease, and Dr. Dena was amazing;she sat cross-legged on the ground and let him come to her to keep him calm, it was very impressive. I thought everyone went above and beyond while caring for my pets so I would recommend them to anyone looking for that extra caring element especially with senior pets.

If you want poor customer service and professionalism, you are at the right place. I called for an appointment for constapation for my cat and wanted an idea of the cost. I didn’t want to be blindsided with a $500-$1000 bill. They took my email and said someone was going to send me an email with the bill details (even though they had my email on file). They never did so I called back 1 1/2 later and spoke with Xavier. I told her I was rescheduling my appointment because no one got back to me. She then sent me the email, but I was shocked to see for an appointment it will be $532.32. I asked her why are they charging me a hospital cost if I was just coming in for an appointment, she put me on hold and came back and said someone will call me tomorrow to explain the estimate.

I too have been taking my pets here for almost 10 year they used to be great but like other have said they were taken over and not as good any more.. I took my dog to be seen I was talking to the vet about our concerns and she left the room thinking she was going to get these meds she was discussing to try on my dog... NOPE she never came back in the room.. My other dog I spent almost 400 for a vet visit bc she wanted to test her blood to see if she had other issues.. I NEVER heard anything back Good/bad nothing. They also used to have an app. there is NOTHING. ALLL Staff is new since it was taken over by thrive..I am in in process of looking for a new Vet for our fur babies.

We like the new doctor. I just wish it wasn’t so expensive for veterinary care.

Very pleased with the services provided by Chili Animal Care. I have been taking my 13 year-old beagle mix to this practice since she was a puppy and she a happy, healthy dog. I have had nothing but positive experiences here and the staff has always been caring and helpful and she received expert care whether for her annual well visits or for something more serious. Highly recommend!

Took our pets here for 40 years and could not ask for better care for our animals.

Chili animal used to be the best place to go friendly and affordable now they've gone corporate and you can kiss those days goodbye. I've been waiting almost a week for them to fill a prescription only because they don't even have doctors on-site anymore. They have to send out that stuff to get written it's a joke my cat now has to go a day without insulin because they can't write a simple thing up. Not to mention you get out on hold everytime you call, this place has gone downhill and it's a shame because it was one of the best around

They only care about money. Wouldn’t even give my dog an exam in front of me. Then tried to charge me for an emergency visit when it was a regular office visit. I sure hope I can find a real vet soon in this area. Will not be taking my pets here again! Plus the building is old, dirty and zero decorations which proves they’re not a service that cares about people but only money

My family and I have been going to Chili Animal Care for more than 25 years. They have both helped cheer me on when there is good news but also supported me through some of the worst decisions a pet owner is faced with when their animal is no longer having a good quality of life. Most recently, my 12 old golden retriever went from being totally normal to not being able to walk within 12 hours. They got me in right away and told me that it was a wait and see kind of thing. I left my Cookie there knowing she was in good hands. She ended up staying for 3 days fighting a raging infection. Every day I was given an update and they also offered me to come visit her at any time. When I did visit, the vet tech brought me a chair and explained everything to me that they were doing. My girl was in a nice rummy cage with blankets, food and water and they even had classical music playing. I never was rushed to leave. She is slowly on the mend but was able to come home to recover after 3 days. They knew it was the best thing for her and would give her the best chance at recovery in her own home. The bill was also much less than I expected. I am very thankful for them and the care they have given to all of my animals.

We've been taking our pets here for over 30 years! It seems crazy to think about it that way because no one I know has even gone to the same human physician practice for 30 years! The facility itself is a little dated, but that all seems cosmetic as there are no issues with the function and services they provide. The vets and support staff here have always been friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. They have reasonable and usually competitive prices. I would definitely recomend them, and have many times over the years.

I wouldn't bring your animals to this vet. I brought my dog there when he was a puppy and they were great they treated him well and did everything I'm their power to give him great care. Then it declined horrible service. When they have to do stuff with him they would bring him to the back room (I was a vet student very interested to see how they handled my dog) one time they didn't ask us if they should do the nasal spray vaccine or the injection and just did the nasal spray and my dog is sensitive and lashed out. They put an aggressive label on him and always used the muzzle on him. They are horrible to their clients now. I highly do not recommend ever bringing your beloved pets to this office. I've had other people have issues with their tactics as well. I obviously transferred all of his documents to another vet office that have been awesome. I'm glad I switched.

What are your new hours of operation? Your website and Google indicate you're open today from 8-5 but when I call, your automated service says you're closed and to call back during normal business hours, but don't state what those hours are

I feel as though I should share my experience , so others wont have to go through what i did. Last week I had to put down my beautiful huskie ,who ive had in my house for 13 years. It broke my heart , and still bothers me. She was a patient here , so i called to make the appointment. They gave me a price , it was scheduled for the next day. When i showed up with her , they told me they were charging me another 40$ , saying because i didnt bring her there the year before. How awful is that ? This is by far , the worst thing i had to experience , and they made it worse. How heartless !!!! I am still reeling , and with a broken heart. I have taken my other kids away from there to another vet , and i will NEVER go back there. Please be aware, they only care about money, certainly not the financial situation of us. I hope all who read this will be careful of these people, and know what they will do to make money. God bless my daughter, and all who read this. I hope to see her in heaven!

10 years ago Chili Vet was a good place, before COVID, I started to notice repairs on n the place not being done and equipment being outdated. And they started nickel and diming everything. Them one day dog was really sick, I called the vet first thing in the morning, and they could not see my dog due to a full schedule and to go to the emergency vet. No, sorry we are super busy, or let me move appts around. It pretty much I was on my own. So after being a customer of 15 years I switched to another vet who called me back after just a few questions to staff. If this was the only time I had issues I would have let it slide, since 10 years ago I had nothing but great experiences with chili vet. But the quality and service had really fallen off a cliff the past few years.

I have gone there over 20 years for: 4 dogs, 3 cats, and a bunny. Yes, it may not have fancy decor— but their priorities are obviously the animals. Everyone is always kind , professional, and knowledgeable. The vet talks to you at length— I have never felt rushes and recommend them.

Been taking my cats here for many years, no matter where I happen to live around town. Friendly staff and vets, very comfortable feel to the rooms, clean, but welcoming. Competitive, even significantly lower pricing on many services, when compared with other vets and clinics I've visited on occasion. Lower prices on prescription food orders than at other vets, stores, and always ready for pickup in a week. They also never made me feel judged or pressured about the handling of my recently deceased, 20 year old cat's life care/end of life care. They were very supportive, gave invaluable advice on many occasions, and answered my many questions about every option for him. I will be endlessly grateful for that, especially to Dr. Meg, but to all the people there, for their personable, kind, professional service.

I have been bringing my dog here for a few years. I absolutely love how they treated her and answered my questions. I actually worked there "helping out" for about a month until my personal schedule would not allow and I found the front desk staff VERY knowledgeable on all things animals. They really care about animals here, it was quite obvious to me. I will continue to bring my dog and any other dogs that RESCUE ME (sorry to my hubby I got my eye on one)to this animal hospital. Thank you for the caring and compassionate way you treat clients, and as importantly if not more, the animals themselves.

Even though my parents, as well as my wife and I were patients of chili Animal Hospital starting 50 years ago they refused to put down my cat . She was a feral cat , I fed her with a 5cc syringe, along with her sister and brother . Even though she was suffering immensely, they refused to help me end this suffering because they had a full schedule. I have never seen such disregard for life. I had to take her home and watch her pass.....shame on you! Money above all and forget everything else ! !

Absolutely LOVE this vet office! I grew up in Chili and my parents used them for all our family pets. Over the years when I'd moved away from Chili area I've tried a couple other closer vets to where I was living but none gave me or my dog the experience I get here. Never once has my dog NOT wanted to go to Chili, the medical staff is always loving & professional! I trust them with my fur babies & I would be willing to drive from anywhere in WNY to still have them as my vet. Thank you Chili Animal Care!

So I have never ever written a review on any business or anyone but recently moving to chili I wanted to find a new vet for my 4 dogs and 2 kittens. So we chose this vet. My cats were from operation freedom ride and came with all there vaccines, and I wanted to start them and get them just over all looked over ( just to establish a relationship and get them in the system at this vet) so I went for there first appointment, had to wait in my car cause of Covid well they called me and said they needed to redo all there vaccines cause the dates didn’t add up with what the OFR sent them. So I said ok, then they came out and said they found a spot of flea poop on one of the cats and not the other so I needed to really get 6 months of medication, and ya know cause they were strays I needed to get all this blood work. Made me feel as if I was some POS owner. Sooo they came out to get my card ( never told me the price ) 450 dollars later I was all set to go and they wanted the cats to come back in 3 weeks to get there last round of shots. So I brought them in today for just there shots, they came out to get the card and I asked how much and they said they didn’t know...... came back out and gave me the receipt for 144 dollars... I check the bill and it was 24 each per cat for shot which was fine, but then said there exam was 48 dollars each. So I called and said I didn’t request an exam and they were just examined 3 weeks ago and they said due to the law the doctor had to administer the shot because of the kinds of shot, and I said no, no one ever told me this, this was suppose to be just a quick and easy shot appt, and then they said, well it was more cause they had to make sure there was no bad reaction to the shot, and I said how would they know it was only given 10 min ago, what is there to examine. Then they said anytime the doctor goes into the room they need to examine. I said so in the matter of 3 weeks you guys have now gotten 650 dollars to “ examine kitten...... KITTENS, heathy kittens that were already vaccinated and spade and microchipped. This is completely unacceptable. She then transferred me to the office manager and she told me she would credit me 12 dollars, I said that’s still not acceptable and I didn’t consent to this amount and then she said she would have someone else call me..... 7 hours later I sit here waiting for the call and not one person contacted me. Let me remind you my dogs are 13, 13, and 12 and I have never experienced anything like this at their other vet office. I am completely disgusted. I will be contacting my credit card company if this issue is not fixed by the end of the week! I will also be looking for another vet that j can trust with all my animals and are not money hungry

We have been going here for over thirty years and based on this experience they are the best in care, testing, diagnosis and prescription meds. They are honest as the day is long..they will tell you when you need a specialist and give you the name too. Dr. Kuntz, the owner and head vet, Dr."Meg"his back up and very bright second, and Debbie, the office lead and trainer run the show and their personal staff are young, flexible, quick learners that complete this business. They all work together for your pet. This has been very difficult to do during the pandemic but they continually make improvements in their service in accordance with the ever changing requirements of pandemic regulations. It is so unfortunate they don't get the credit deserved for their hard work and problem solving. If you love your pets and they are special to you, this is the place to take them. Unfortunately there is a waiting list to get in but get your name in and follow up every two weeks to display your seriousness of purpose." Chili Animal Care is a five star business operation and one with a five star heart."Scott, Sue and Sadie Fletcher

This place did not help my dog at all. They were immediately rude to both me and my dog. I came in, and the first thing they noted was how long my dogs hair was. They criticized him on his hair length, even though the doctor admitted that we SHOULDN'T cut dogs' hair due to it keeping their body temperature stable, and also criticized our decision to not neuter our nonaggressive dog. They then gave our dog a shot, without warning us nor telling us what the shot was and what it did. After that, we had problems before with our dog's ears so we asked that they look in them. After them trying once, our dog snipped at them because he experiences pain in his ear so obviously someone digging their finger around in their ear isn't going to feel good. Then, the vet freaked out and told us to not come back because "they don't deal with aggressive dogs." He acted like our dog goes around biting people all the time and how some day we "may have to go to court and get him euthanized" because of how "aggressive" our scared dog was. It was very unsettling. Our dog just has anxiety when he goes to the vet and he almost is never aggressive and the dog snipping wasn't even a real attack more of a "please don't do that" signaling sort of thing. This place is honestly the worst vet I have ever experienced I would give 0 stars if I could. Unprofessional and rude. I felt like I was being verbally judged and attacked by the vet for no reason. Then they had the audacity to charge us 100+ dollars for an appointment that lasted 2 minutes and accomplished nothing. Horrible service.

If you get to see the doctors, they are knowledgeable and kind. However, they are booking out 2 months. Telephone staff is very rude and impatient. I have tolerated this office staff for several years, but finally pulled my 4 pets today. I will miss the docs, but its just not worth the trouble.

We saw Dr.Samanoa today, she was thorough and clearly cared about the well being of my fur baby. I was very happy with her explanation of treatment and next steps for care at home. I’ve been coming here for years and all of the vets and vet techs are super sweet.

I have been going there for over 12 years, I used to love them, but now think they are over priced. Shaved my dog for hot spots and never discussed anything with me first. Will be looking for a new vet in the area.

Phone staff have always been extremely rude here. They prescribed medication for my dog without following the correct protocol of checking his ears for an infection and instead only did a swab. They charge for every little thing, including appts that are overdue and emergency visit costs. They book months and months out without giving notice when their calendar opens up. So done with them.

We've been coming here for almost 25 years with all of our cats and have recommended family and friends as well! Our pets are our family, and the vets at Chili Animal Care treat them that way too. The staff and Doctors are so friendly yet professional and explain everything we need to know in detail. Even in case of emergency our calls are responded to by these vets, not referral elsewhere.

We have been taking our pets here for more than 20 years. The customer service every single time is so poor. The women at the front desk are so rude and snippy. If you hate your job that much, quit. It's amazing how every single visit is greeted with out a smile and the sense that I'm bothering them. Terrible!!
