I went in to buy some cards. You know. Like someone that goes into that store does. They have the box I was looking to buy for over double what it goes for online. When I mentioned the price and how it's cheaper on any site that sells cards he just told me to buy it online then. I guess I will. At least they won't treat me like he did. I'll never go into that store again. They price everything too high and when you mention it they act like you're the one trying to rip them off

I I’d visited Kirwans Game Store in the Poughkeepsie Galleria prior to the pandemic and was always impressed with their store inventory, cleanliness, and appearance.Since we’ve spent so much more time home, I have to say that the selection of games, miniatures and pop culture teams can’t be beat!I’ve been grabbing my DND minis there ever since and love the selection! Check them out if you are in Poughkeepsie or Catskill!

Their staff is very knowledgeable about the game Magic the Gathering. They were very friendly to a beginner like me, and have cards that are priced competitively with ones you might find online. They also have a section in the back where you can play with your friends, if they are not being used to host a event.

Traded in some high-end singles in exchange for etbs for my sealed collection. Didn't think much of it when the employee quickly put them in the bag but I should have inspected them like they inspected the cards I traded in because every etb had rips in the cellophane and damage to the box itself making it not very ideal for a sealed collection.

i been to this card shop couple times the one guy with glasses is extremely rude when i asked him about a card set he seemed annoyed but he eventually got them when i was looking threw them he seemed annoyed the whole time

This ain't the place to buy cards (singles). I saw that this comic shop sells cards at a higher price than What tcg player says each card is worth. One card I saw that I have. They where selling said card for almost double the price. Plus they offer sellers only 40% of what the card is worth. So that means they making a killing on each card sale. I've been to better place Where I can get a decent price below market price. Can't trust I'll get a good price for a more expensive card from Kirwans. Be weary Off conducting business with them.

Went in to inquire about Lorcana cards. (I get they’re probably annoyed being asked). Very uninterested worker with large beard didn’t even look up to say “No” when I asked and offered 0 other explanation or conversation. Just sort of waited for me to go away. Really rude and in the future will just be an unapproachable store employee. Would not recommend if you’re looking for friendly interaction with all staff

Cool spot with really friendly staff. Sold a few Yugioh cards here as well as bought a few supplies. They're fair with pricing for both selling and buying. They also have a bit of everything here and definitely worth a stop if you're already in the mall.

Pre-covid this place was amazing. Staff were super engaging and they gave good trade value and deals on sealed items. Went there recently a couple times and staff seem uninterested to help or have a conversation about various cards/games (they were not busy). Also, as others have stated, it’s mostly funko pops now and board games. Hopefully they will realize areas of improvement or unfortunately I don’t think they will be in the mall much longer.

Most of the staff seemed nice but the male worker behind the counter seemed mad and aggressive. The price of most things I saw was noticeably higher than other game stores as well. Originally I thought the price was due to location, but the store seems too established and too many customers for no price drop for some items.

Great store with friendly staff. They frequently have table top gaming or card game events in the back of the store. There is a large selection of Manga, comic books, figures and trading cards here. All around a great store

Dropped by the store as it is listed as one of local Weiss Schwarz card retailer. Staffs are nice, but informed me that this branch only carries Vanguard while the other branch (Catskill) carries WS. I didn't see any match hours despite having a space for it.Pretty good entry level selection of figurines and life size Deadpool is nice touch. Good if you want Magic or Pokemon cards, just not WS. It is also viable option if you need card accessories in hurry.

An absolutely amazing store! I think ‘gaming’ stores tend to be the same. But when I visited Kirwan’s Game store. The atmosphere was not only welcoming, but by the products placed on the shelves you can tell the team focuses on diversity and representation. It’s such a minor detail but where else am I going to find comics or Pop culture merchandise that isn’t the same 4 people? Like I said it was such a small detail that it made such a massive impact on me that I felt the need to say something about it.Also don’t get me started on the down to earth employees. They seem to genuinely love their job. Kudos to the store’s management in keeping their employees happy. Happy employees equals happy customers. You all as a team run such an amazing store.

They had a great selection of Pokemon cards and DND stuff. The store itself was quiet and the workers were pleasant and helpful. The displays were clean and easy to browse. They had some sort of card game or something going on in the back of the store which was pretty cool. The whole place was a neat, generic kind of nerd store. I'd go back again.

I usually dont write reviews but had a particularly negative experience today. I was away for two weeks and I was super excited to get my comics I missed, an Issue of Batman, Spider-Man, and Venom. I ask the employee I never seen before for my comics, give him my name, he goes to the back and takes longer than usual. He comes back with just Batman, I ask if there was others he says thats it, I think I was mistaken, and pay. I check my phone and see that there WAS supposed to be 2 more comics and I ask again politely because I obviously wanted my books, and he says with a rude tone "There was only that" and walks away, no explanation, nothing. I noticed that it did seem like they were light on Marvel comics this week and thought maybe it got delayed, but I dont know because when I tried to figure out I got snapped at and he didnt even attempt to help me find an answer. I'm frustrated because this has never happened before and I hope it never happens again and I'm wondering if im going to have to spend 2x retail price because they were unable to hold the comics they said they would. It seems odd as I come every week and theres no problem but today the one time there is I'm met with rudeness. I defintely plan on coming back again on wednesday, when the people who actually know about comics are there, the girl whos name I dont know recognises me and is always helpful offering to bag and board the books. Hopefully able to get answers and maybe apology because I love this store but for now I am disappointed, frustrated, and upset as it totally soured the rest of my night.

This is an awesome store. I walked in for a bit. The prices aren't bad. They always ID for adult game stuff. They are polite and very knowledgeable about what they sell. They also carry some pretty cool items. They have action figures, adult games, card games, and other cool stuff.

Contacted the store and asked to purchase a beautiful LP (lightly played) Raikou Star (gold star 114/115) and Justin was able to take care of me. The entire process was seem less and quick. The shipping was quick, and when the order arrived it was super well packaged. I think the best part of the entire experience was opening the package though.I had recently purchased this card from another seller on a different platform, and was gravely disappointed. (The condition did not match), I only mention this, to explain my surprise when I took a look at the card and saw exactly what I ordered and actually in even better condition!!Thank you so much Kirwan's game store, thank you Justin!I'll make sure to check the shop out for other cards, I'd like.Would recommend.Service = 5/5Product = 5/5Professionalism = 5/5

They aren't so much a game store as they are a collectable store. They have some games but the majority of the store has been taken over by Funkos and branded swag. When asked where all of their good TCG cards were, they directed me to TCGPlayer.com. I guess they'd rather I give my business to the online stores...

Staff is super friendly and helpful. One of the only places I can get both board games and retro video games and consoles. My girlfriend loves going there for the comic books. Always seem to have tournaments going on and they always seem to be having a good time though I've never entered in one personally. Deffinately a store to check out if you like games or comics of any kind.

Has everything I want (Besides a Zoroark GX 😅😅). Nah, on a real note, my favorite store ever. I have already spent over $600 this month on this store (currently 9/10/22). If you're a card collector, I highly recommend Kirwan's!

The magic guy has such a rude attitude with customers. He wants to move you along fast and really doesn’t care. I have been there several times and I have officially decided not to come to this place because of that same attitude. The only great worker there is the blue headed girl!

I've always had excellent experiences at both Kirwan's locations. The store is always clean and well organized. While some staff aren't always knowledgable about particular products (each employee seems to have a specialty, whether it be card games or comics or RPGs), they always make their best effort to help. There are a lot of events and games that are hosted at the store, which are usually well attended. A great store with a wonderful staff and active gaming community.

Good place, located conveniently in the Poughkeepsie Galleria. Lots of good stuff and good pricing. Room for gaming. Specialize in magic and other TCGs and RPGs. Some boardgames on sale. Haven't seen any GW products there. Good place, highly recommend.

They have a huge selection of anime gadgets and card games.Their board game section used to be slightly bigger; however their current selection is good! I always make a small stop here 😊

Great store! The staff were great and they have an amazing selection, one of the best board game selections in the area. Highly recommend checking them out if you like card games and board games. They also carry comics, miniature games, and pop culture items.

i buy pokemon stuff. decent selection of cards but most of them are only 3 bucks. not many "good" cards. some other stuff i looked at there some in stock but wasn't a huge selection

Every time I come into this store I am treated as if I am wasting the associates time and bothering them for asking basic questions about magic or pokemon. I have been coming to this store since it was opened, and the quality of service is dependant on who is working that day.

Nice place with friendly staff and good selection of Comics!! They've also got a nice selection of Consoles too! They're the first place I've seen to sell the Wii-U again in like 3 years!!! However, this is a review based off my visit 5 days prior to writing this. At that time they had the Original Black 500GB Xbox One with a Controller for $150. The Black I believe 32GB Wii-U with it's Gamepad for $165. They also had a Nice Cobalt Blue and Black DS Lite which I believe was $65. However, like I said that may have only been 5 days ago but they're constantly changing. Please Call the store for the most up to date and accurate information. Or, if you live Close by like I do, feel free to just stop in as they have many other cool things to check out too!!! 😃
