Completely Average (by Finger Lakes standards). Not really a place for a "Date Night" but a good place for a quick bite with the kids or for a meeting. The food is much better when you eat there as opposed to doing "take out". The pizza is the most reliable item on the menu though they do a pretty good fish and chips on Fridays. The service is generally slow which is odd given that they never seem busy. Overall, when it comes down to price and quality, they are one of the better places to eat in the whole town (which probably says more about the availability of choices than the restaurant itself.)A smaller menu might serve this place well.

Staying in the area stop for a bite to eat. Parking was on Street and they were pretty busy when we arrived. I had a tuna melt and sweet potato fries which were excellent my fiance had garlic wings which I tried and they were delicious. Ordered buffalo wrap and fried mushrooms. The wrap and waffle fries it came with were cold and soggy. And the fried mushrooms looked like the the leftover scraps scraped from the flat top at the end of the night. This place used to be amazing. Not sure what is going on with managment. May be giving to much control to staff not fit to hold their titled positions. Also never been to a place that would not serve Customer's based off of a current employees grudge. Managmemt needs to regain control of thier establishment and open thier eyes to what is taking place among thier staff

Went here on a Saturday at 5pm and the place was completely empty. Not sure why because our dinner experience was fantastic. We got two different pizzas and some pulled pork. Pizzas were great tasting new york style pipping hot out of the oven. Pulled pork was really smoky and flavorful. Nice draft selection and reasonable prices. Only small criticism is that we wanted to sit outside but the only larger tables were in the sun without umbrellas on the back of the deck area - that would be a simple upgrade that would help. Overall hope this place does well so I can visit again next year if in town.

Cute little hole in the wall. Our server was definitely new and could have had someone shadowing him to better assist. He seemed new but was very nice. I rated 4 out of 5 stars due to lack of vegetarian options. The kitchen had good taste in music and were jamming out while preparing our delicious meals. I got the BBQ Bacon Burger with Beer Battered Fries and my partner got the Balsamic Brushetta Chicken with the Garlic Smashed Potatoes. Both very good and would definitely get again. The Silverbird Woodfired restaurant was a great finish to our Rail Bike Ride at Finger Lakes Rail Riders!

This is a homey joint that takes their food seriously. You can evaluate this immediately from the menu and how it describes it salads. Most bar or small restaurants phone it in with their salads, but my Greek salad was scrupulously crisp and varied. My husband ate his entire pizza in a short period of time. Additionally, someone here has classic tastes in music played throughout the restaurant. Yum and yay!

Heard an ad on the radio for the woodfired pizza. Went here for lunch today. Got some staples and ordered a slice each. The servers were very friendly and the place had a great atmosphere. Definitely going back! Not to mention all our friends we sent the food images to wanted to go there too!

Friendly staff, but severely understaffed. Waited 1.25 hours after ordering dinner, and it wasn't crowded. I ordered the Ruben. No 1k island dressing. No saurekraut. I asked for saurekraut and they brought me red cabbage. The fish fry was average.

Great food, excellent latte. Cozy atmosphere. You can eat on the deck on warmer days. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. This is a must try if you're around Penn Yan. Every meal I have had there was top notch. They use fresh ingredients and their wood fire pizza is excellent too! A+

I really want to like the silver bird so I have given it many tries (over 6) over their time in Penn Yan unfortunately they continue to struggle with poor service, poor food quality and cleaning. That said they have potential it's a great menu, neat idea for a restaurant and the only wood fired pizza in py. I will focus on my last trip to highlight the issues I have seen on my trips.We arrived in a large group around 7pm sat and ordered drinks. The table was sticky and dirty from the previous party. Our dinks took over 10 minuets to reach the table even then several members of the table got left out and had to ask many times before they finally got their drinks.Next we ordered our food 4 of the meals came with pre dinner salads they came out quick but one was forgotten. After a long wait the food came out the wings were great the rest was not. 4 people ordered Mac and cheese and 3 plates of it came out cold. On top of that the waiter gave the plates to the wrong people then argued with us when we suggested that they were not in front of the right people. Most of the rest of the food was ok untill the person next to me got their slices to go with their wings. The pizza was obviously a day old with some "new" cheese thrown on top and re heated. The crust was stiff and pizza cold... At a pizza place. We finished our food without additional issue then left.We have had other similar experiences when here with other folks, food forgotten, brought out cold or waiting very long for simple things. Once we got seated on the deck with 3 friends and we're forgotten for over an hour. Or the time we called for take out and the phone was left un-attended with us on the line for over 20 minutes untill we drove down to see what the issue was. I want to like this place but I can't with all the issues.

Great food and friendly staff. Portion sizes are really good. Excellent coffee (lattes, cappuccinos, the works).My only complaint is that the games in the back corner can get kind of loud, so if you're looking for a quiet place to eat it might be a little hit or miss.

What used to be a 4/5+ restaurant is now not even worth a single star. Ordered a philly steak with a side of fries and an additional basket of fries. All of the fries were marked to be beer battered. None of them were, they were soggy and flaccid, tasteless. Some of the worth fries I've had in my life. The philly steak was burnt, the cheese was a black mess on top. I've never been so disappointed at money spent on food.My wife and I have been eating here at least once a week since we moved to the area a little over two months ago. Every week has been a worse than the last. Today is the last time we will order from Silverbird Woodfired. I would suggest going elsewhere in the area if you want quality food - This place is horrid. Absolute waste of money.

Had lunch with a group of 6. This restaurant needs a good deep cleaning done. The skylights above our table were filled with cobwebs and dead bugs. The wood tables felt like they had a 1/2" thick layer of grease. Our waitress had no personality, didn't check in to fill drinks and didn't bring requested condiments after dropping food and we had to go to the bar and request them. Overall a bad experience.

We had potato skins, weren't cooked enough. The chicken wings were decent, didn't care for the sauces.Waitress, who was the bartender, had no idea how to make an old fashion. She put lemon in it and the only bourbon they had was Jim Beam, which I ordered a second neat, and it tasted watered down.We had heard from the locals this was a good spot, but the other places in town were way better.

Ordered pizza and wings for delivery. Excellent wings. Always great delivered but better in house. The wood fired pizza was delicious and at a good price. Nice thin crust. Sauce is perfect, cheese melts in your mouth. Great beer selection-in house. Always visit this place when we visit Keuka Lake.

Went here with my friends a couple of weeks ago. The service was great! Food came out within a matter of minutes and was cooked to perfection. They also have a lot of fun games in the dining area including scrabble pieces on each table to keep you occupied. Highly recommend this place!

Went for a late lunch by myself while traveling for work. Food came out promptly however my pulled pork sandwich had to be eaten with a fork since the bun could not support the pulled pork. My server never came to check on me but socialized behind the bar as I ate. I had to get up to request ketchup for my fries to which she apologized and said “sorry for not getting over to you sooner” but then still never actually checked on me. When my water was gone and I had one fry left, my check was brought over. Would not recommend or go back.

Everyone has their own experience, but mine was a flat average. Waitress was nice and place was empty so we got our food quick. The appetizers were delicious but the soups we ordered were unfortunately bland. I would recommend eating here for lunch. Place has great history and I hope to come back and see an improvement within time

I give this less than one star…. The arancini rove was over cooked and it tasted as it was unflavored rice and cheese. The cordon bleu chicken was moist and tender… they forgot the ham on it… the creamy Dijon mustard sauce was literal jarred Dijon squeezed on top….

We were excited to try the wood-fired pizza and drove over an hour to try out this restaurant. It was very lack lustre. The traditional chicken wings were very overcooked. The sauces for the chicken wings were VERY salty. When we addressed the concerns with the staff the response was "this is the first time anyone ever complained. This is how we make it." We were handed a bill that included every dish ordered, whether consumed or not. When we addressed the bill and asked for a discount reflecting the inability to eat the food, we were refused any discount or any type of customer service that reflects a desire to acknowledge the customer's inability to eat the food. Further comments were made that insulted our region of origin and perceived health. To say this restaurants offerings are a disappointment is an understatement. Worse, the staff's treatment of customer's concerns was the farthest things from professional.
