If you’re into dragons and medieval, this is the winery for you. First stop is a choice of headpieces to help with the mood. The staff were wearing crowns so bring your own if you have one. Steep drive up but level by the winery. Was thrilled to have a chart available to decide wine type and sugar content.

Sorry Seneca shore. We cant leave a good review because our party of 8 was turned away because we didnt have a reservation. To be clear...if you are reading this review...there were no cars in the parking lot, and not a single person inside. The "manager" just continually stated that she could not accomodate us because we didnt have a reservation. There are times when common sense should prevail. We went up the road to one of the many other wineries. We did not have a reservation. They were happy to have our business. I guess the bright side is that your vineyard is so successful that you can afford to turn away customers and potential good reviews. Kudos.

Very friendly and helpful. Beer tasting had a nice variety. The wines didn't quite hit my wife's palete. But, they had a wonderful selection. To be fair, ones taste interests should not judge for others. Please try and enjoy!

I was very disappointed in Seneca Shore as they hype up their establishment as the medieval winery of the Finger Lakes and hardly have a medieval vibe upon arrival. First impression from the road side seems promising as you're greeted by castle sign with a dragon at the top and a long lane decorated with pennants, but once you drive down around back, you come a BRIGHT BLUE BARN. My renaissance adorned hopes were crushed immediately. Secondly, the staff required quests to wear masks which I wasn't too thrilled about but they were at least nice enough to offer masks to us since when didn't have any. The venue was very small and the outdoor deck only offered about 5 tables with assigned seating but at least the distant view of the lake was pretty. Unfortunately the staff was dryer than the wines they provided and made no offer to assist us with the tasting menu. As far as the wines went, the flight tree was very cute and was served with prezels as a paate cleaner. The wines themselves were good but not overly impressive. While Seneca Shore is nice enough, it was not what I was expecting and was overall disappointing.

Our party of 6 was treated terribly this morning while trying to experience the winery. We traveled across several states to visit the wineries in the area, and this is one we definitely wanted to visit. Upon our arrival we were informed that due to our party size (one above the maximum number of five for individual tasting choices) we could not pick individual wines to sample but would be relegated to a preset flight menu and that one of our party could not taste beer but instead had to order a beer he hadn't tasted. Our party was the only party in the winery on a weekday morning and that remained so for the duration of our visit. I understand the rules and reasons for them but were dissapointed that she could not make an exception for us on this dead weekday morning. We asked for exception and she tersely said no that was not going to happen, even though two of our group were members of the case club. This is not good customer service and we will not be returning. Very sad. It's not as if there aren't 30 other wineries we could choose instead. Rules are great but smart business people know when to apply them and when it makes better sense to make exceptions.

Horrible staff. Same experience as previous post of having a group of. Though the place was empty inside and had a group of 7 outside already served. By the owners response there is no apology and there is a lack of professional courtesy. No accountability for poor service. None is will be back. Keep up the lousy customer service until your grapes shrivel. Enjoy

Michaela was so personable and welcoming for me and my friends. Very knowledgeable on all wines and beer as we enjoyed a beer and wine flight. Would definitely love to visit again just to see her.

One of my favorites to visit. Extremely friendly. Mikaela (sp) goes above and beyond in customer service with calling a brewery to find out if the beer I was tasting had any artificial dyes, which I'm allergic to. I was very impressed with her dedication when I asked her about possible red dye in the beer. When she couldn't answer my question she immediately was on the phone to the brewery. I highly recommend Seneca Shore, not only for their wine and beer, but also for their extremely friendly nature.

I didn't really enjoy this winery. There was a younger guy at the counter that was very pleasant but the older lady requested our vaccination cards for I am not sure what reason. We were seated sipping the wine we carried to our own table and masked when we got up to leave. It was uncomfortable and not nearly as much fun as the rest of our remaining tours. This was our first and I am glad it got better. The up side the wine is good.

First off, I love the wine from Seneca Shores Winery. My first visit last year sealed that this was my favorite. The Royal Nector was unbelievably good.I have since ordered and had delivered to my home.Always friendly and great experiences....until today.I brought my girlfriend, her childhood friend, her boyfriend and his daughter (17, underage and not drinking, this was stated to the hostess). I did not go online and see the 4 person restriction and make an appointment since it was clearly stated on Google maps that it was open for business. Who makes appointments to go to a Winery. But even if we had there were only 4 of us drinking.Upon entering we were asked how many in our party, we said 4 would be tasting, clearly under the limit of "more than 4 requires an appointment ".The hostess stated because there were 5 of us they would not allow us to taste only buy full bottles and drink there. That was not why we came. We wanted to share the wines available with our friends. Thus a wine tasting.Doing the math:4 flights = if flights are $10.00 then $40.00 LOSTPotential = I wanted 6 bottles of Nector +/-$15.00 per bottle $90.00Other friends with me 1 to 2 bottles per $45.00 to $90.00Other possible SWAG items, let's say $50.00 to $100.00For a 15 second conversation you lost upwards of $320.00.If the hostess would have worried more about customer service then counting heads then your financial potential would be endless. But alas we went down the road and spent our money elseware.I loved your wine but making patrons uncomfortable and being rude to them will only cost you money, not me.

Enjoying a bottle of the dragon eye white currently! I visited back in August of 2022 and became pregnant right after and was counting down the days until I could crack this bad boy open 😂😅 also I have worked on the niagara wine trail for years now so I do know my wine and this winery was one of my favorites by far!!

We spend 6-8 weeks a year in the Fingerlakes and this used to be one of our favorite wineries to visit. But after this visit, we won't be returning. We were greeted at the door with the information that they had doubled the price of their tastings and would not be honoring the free tastings we were supposed to receive with our wine passes. When we decided to leave instead, the employee yelled at us and was outrageously rude. We crossed this winery off our list forever. Interestingly enough, she treated the next couple behind us in exactly the same way. They left, too, obviously angry. This is no way to run a winery, folks!

Never got to taste as refused us because we were from North Carolina. Made us show our drivers license and then she said we needed written proof how long we have been here. We stay the whole summer (arrived before the governor of NY said a two week isolation was required). Offered to show her pictures with dates and places we have been but said she needed written proof and we should have registered with the state. Well I said I didn't have to do it as we had been here. Gave up and left mad. It has been one of our favorite wineries and always stop during the summer. Won't be back. M&M's

This USED TO BE one of our yearly stops because my husband likes their port. However, after this last time we won't be back. The last few times we were there I felt as if the tasting experience was going downhill. Now, it's hit rock bottom. The servers are completely disinterested and have nothing to offer conversation wise OR about their wines. It's like they're bothered to have people come in. We were there when a large group tried to come in. The staffstarted complaining as soon as they pulled up and then cut them off before they even got through the door. I was amazed.....never again

DO NOT GO HERE WITH LARGE GROUP OR IF YOURE TRYING TO HAVE FUN! We were at this winery for the first time on Saturday for my moms birthday. It was our third winery for the day and the first two were amazing- great staff and wine! We were having a blast until stepping foot into Seneca Shores. Not a single staff member was kind. We did nothing to upset the staff. We saw a lot of eye rolls, uncalled for remarks, and not a single smile on any of their staff. It was such a downer when we were all having much deserved fun. You’d have to pay me to step foot back in that place. I’d comment on the wine but it truly doesn’t matter when in wine country. So many good options at Seneca Lake. Do not waste your time here.

What used to be our favorite winery stop every year, I will never go back to. We didn’t even get to the door before a woman came out and very rudely told us we were not welcome. She judged that we had 8 people BUT we were not all planning to taste and one of us only wanted to buy wine-mind you, he is a club member and was planning to buy an entire case! We even said we didn’t even all need to come inside and she just said we are not welcome! Apparently our money isn’t green here. She’s the one in charge and probably the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. Don’t waste your time.

Due to us arriving on a bus, they refused to serve any of us wine. Absolutely rude and awful. We will never visit their winery again. This was a Pasta and Wine tour put on by Seneca Lake Wine Tours and it was our last winery along the tour. I hope they take this winery off the list. Absolutely rude and awful.

Understand needing a reservation however, when theres no one in the parking lot for 20 minutes and then turn a group away that easily wouldve spent $100. Guess you dont wany money then🤷‍♀️

If you like medieval times, dragons and wine, then Seneca Shores is the winery for you! The decor will transport you to a time of knights and dragons as you sip some pretty sweet wine. The strawberry kisses tastes like you are eating a chocolate covered strawberry! I highly recommend visiting and trying a flight of wine.

Beyond friendly and knowledgeable staff, with an amazing selection of great Finger Lakes wines. Stop in for a tasting, the views are spectacular. This was a working visit, otherwise I would have snapped a few pics to share.

The wine was good, but the staff was incredibly rude and unfriendly. We went to many wineries on our tour and this was the only place that made us feel unwelcome. We come every year to the finger lakes and won’t be returning here.

I can’t imagine how anyone can give this place 1star. They were super friendly and even stayed after closing so we could pick up a lost wallet. They even figured out how to combine our groups purchases so we could get a discount. When you visit, don’t forget to look for Stanley the cat. He visits from the neighbors property and greets visitors when he is around.

Nice winery off Seneca lake. Medieval themed! Very cool. Tastings are $5 for 5. Staff is friendly and very informative. Highly recommended if doing a wine tour around the lake.
