Guy was helpful but scammed me saying that a product will help my tank but instead ruins it. Got me to buy two products totally at least $25. Said I had to buy them. Fed me lots of lies and misinformation

Owners are incredibly helpful and every visit has been a positive one. A great place for developing the hobby, purchase vary products, or just to look. The tanks are super clean and you can tell the owner takes pride in his work.

So friendly, family owned. Great selection of fish. Small but complete selection of supplies. Sunday only hours make and impromptu trip hard but if you plan you won't be disappointed. Very knowledgeable owner on hand at all times.

This is a phenomenal place. I echo the sentiment that the fish are much healthier here for whatever reasons than the larger pet stores. It's remarkable actually. Went there today. For the first time. Was greeted well, and taken care of very well. Had some questions and had my tank water tested. Was given very good, detailed advice that helped immensely. This is a business that specializes in both freshwater and saltwater tropical fish and supplies. I've kept fish tanks for many years and this store is the best I've seen in quality and selection of pet tropical fish. If they don't have something you need in stock they can order it. Their advice is on point. A large part of their business is set up and maintenance of fish tanks in many locations, but they absolutely welcome walk-in customers. They've been in the business many years and they know their stuff inside and out. Highly recommend. Update: this business is no longer open to walk in customers and have concentrated on maintaining tanks in homes and businesses. They may be open to appointments, recommend calling them before visiting.

ABC is a great place to go. Very helpful and help my son Jeffrey with his Betta tank. I will be going there for all of our fish now. If you haven't been here you have to go. They have everything and will help you set up your tank and get it ready.

Amazing! The owners are extremely knowledgable and always willing to share advice. Their fish are very well taken care of and healthy. They have a wide variety of both freshwater and saltwater fish, as well as supplies. Would recommend!

I've only met the Owners or their Family every time I'm here. Tanks are always clean & stocked with healthy fish and/or plants. I have yet to see a dead, dying or diseased fish in their tanks (unlike most other local stores). They are extremely knowledgeable & easy to talk with about ALL things aquatic (ex. health, care, maintenance, diseases, water testing, fish compatibility, etc.). I have purchased many healthy fish & plants from this store. Any questions I have they are happy to help & very detailed with their information.

I have been dealing with Alex for 3 years now. I value his knowledge and expertise. He has taught me a lot in this time. I have two Discus tanks and have been very successful with them. I recently got some kind of bacteria in the tank. Taking pictures of the fish effected I took it to Alex. Due to his knowledge and my fast response I only lose the one that was effected and saved the rest. Can't thank him enough. Would highly recommend him. Thanks again Alex. Now I am taking the step up to a small saltwater tank to start and I will rely on Alex for guidance.

Our first visit was a success. We purchased fish and supplies for our saltwater tank. The proprietors were very nice and helpful. Lots of healthy looking fish, both freshwater and marine. Lots of plants on the freshwater side, and tons of corals on the marine side.

Got a nice hard to find lamarck angelfish here! They have a great assortment of extra supplies and dosing chemicals/ all for competitive prices. They are always willing to steer you in the right direction if you have any issues.

Had a decent selection of freshwater fish at a very reasonable price. They sell amazing looking red freshwater crayfish at a fraction of what I've paid at other aquarium stores. I'll definitely be coming back.

Nicest aquatics store in Rochester. Very knowledgeable and polite staff. Exceedingly heathy stock with a wide selection of hardscape materials. To me it is worth the three hour drive from my home to Rochester to visit this shop.

Out dated pictures on the google site by a long run. I took my family on a two hour road trip as a saltwater fish/ reef enthusiast to see a poorly kept selection. The prices were right for what they had in livestock for the hobby. But the specimens they had were crammed, for instance... 2 basketball sized lionfish each in 20 gallon aquariums. I was disappointed. Freshwater had better selection for all ends of the hobby. But salwater not all so much. I did purchase a few zoanthid frags but they will be spending a few months in quarantine. Sorry im not sorry but this is in fact the worst shop in NY state for this hobby and i beleive they should be shut down. Its been over 2 months since my visit and all the specimens i bought are still being attacked by reef pests such as nudibranch and zoa eating spiders. No growth only deteriation on the peices i purchased.

This is a family owned and run store. The fish are so much healthier than you find at chain pet stores. They really know there stuff too. I drive 30 minutes out of my way to exclusively shop here.This is one of the few places that have truly aquatic grown plants. Because of this, their selection can be limited. Ask them for something special and they will probably find it for you. They have HC mats , DHG and "petite" anubis nana.They have crystal red shrimp and crystal shrimp ( the black and white variety). They also have amano shrimp regularly. I don't know of another store close to Rochester that carries these. Any planted tank enthusiast will surely appreciate that.They carry seachem products (excel, flourish excel, flourite) which I prefer.Talk to the owner or his son if you have any questions. They will show you around the store and talk about all of the tanks they have on display. A few people said they were rude but I doubt that. They throw in a fish or two for free now and again for me and I barely know them.All of the tanks are filtered separately. None of their fish are sick or stressed. The planted tanks have CO2 injection and medium lighting. A lot of places just throw their plants into a normal tank and thats why they die off so fast when you buy them.

Friendly and Knowledgeable owners willing to help you in anyway, My girlfriends father and I have been going there for years for salt water and fresh water fish, plants, coral, exc... You will not be disappointed, They are fairly priced and you won't see fish as healthy as theirs anywhere around.

ABC Aquariums is an amazing store for the aquarium hobbyist. Their wide selection of fish, plants, decorations, and coral will meet your every need. This store is locally owned, and satisfying their customers and keeping there fish happy and healthy are definitely there top priorities. Also, the tanks at ABC don’t all share one filter, unlike large pet stores such as Petco and Petsmart. Instead each tank has its own filter for maximum fish happiness and health. I am a regular customer and have never bought, or seen, a fish from ABC aquariums that is sick or injured. I have also never seen a dead fish in any of their tanks, much unlike Petco and Petsmart. ABC has great prices, nice employs, healthy fish, and much, much more. I can never wait to go to this amazing aquarium shop.
