one of the local thrift shops in the area that I love! I come here every couple weeks to check it out and sometimes there are some REALLY good finds, they have a ramp instead of stairs, staff never makes me feel unwelcome, everything is organized by size and the “stuff” is organized by color, definitely prioritizes clothing compared to furniture and stuff, overall one of my top thrift shops :)

So disgusted with the customer service. Went in yesterday with family to browse around. As most of you know when you browse most of the time you end up buying something. I ended up purchasing 3 children’s clothing, an item for myself and some kitchen forks. When I approached the counter the “manager” (who was a very young woman) gave a nasty scoff and moved her items to the other side of the counter so the other associate could cash out my family and I. After checking out and my total being very high for some strange reason I decided to go to the car and start counting how much my total should have been. I then realized I was over charged after reviewing my receipt I realized I was charged $8 for the 4 forks I purchased that were marked as 25 cents each. I went back to the counter and showed the woman who checked me out my receipt and she acknowledged she overcharged me, claiming she “clicked the wrong button”. I then said I would like my money back. I had payed with cash. And the woman said she could give me store credit. I then said I would just like my $8 in cash back. And she said she could refund my card $4. And I then repeated and said I would like my $8 in cash back. The “manager” who was standing off to the side said they could not do cash back. And I stated I would like my cash back due to the fact it was not my fault, it was their mistake. After going back and forth and becoming very frustrated I decided to walk out. While walking out I made a comment about how I could have just went to Walmart and purchased the 4 forks for $4 and still been charged less than I was charged there and Walmart would have refunded me the cash. The “manger” got snippy with myself and my family while walking out. While leaving we decided to call and ask to speak with a manager and then was told the woman who was snippy was the manager. While being on the phone the “manager” and other associates were making comments back and forth about how “they are now calling too”. Overall it was just very a unprofessional experience. I’ve been to this location many times and never seen either of these two women and very disgusted with the customer service and them not taking responsibility for their mistakes. Will not be returning and will be going through corporate to have my money refunded. Do not recommend this location at all.

This is a really decent thrift store. Hit or miss on nice items but there is usually a hidden gem in here.The DVD section is huge and lots of really good movies, Blu-rays, TV shows for a cheap price. Sometimes as low as $1.The purse section is awesome. Vera Bradley and other designer bags are always in stock here.The clothing is great. I always find some expensive clothing for $3-$4.Antiques and Christmas decorations.Shoes are good quality.Not what you'd expect for hand me downs. This place has incredible art work too. I have found some really unique items here. Definitely worth stopping into a few times a month.

Kudos to the 2 ladies working this morning for making this cranky old guy giggle a bit today! What a pleasant atmosphere. I usually shop for old movies in the evening hours but I’ll be back during the daytime. Can’t get a good deal on movies with a good conversation elsewhere! Didn’t get their names but 8/14 was there around noonish.

The chick with the red hair that works there is extremely rude. I Was just there and this gentlemen was bringing donations inside and said he was legally blind and couldn’t see the donations sign. The woman continued to be rude and say the donations have to go in the bin, can’t be left, didn’t even offer to help or anything. As I was leaving she was talking about the gentlemen to her other coworker behind the counter. If you were there you would have been disgusted too. Will not be returning to this store.

I’ve been here many times since it’s the only thrift store in Oswego and I’ve never had a pleasant experience with staff. They seem so miserable and are very rude and unfriendly.

I always find the best second-hand clothes and books here and the staff is always so personable. I’ve shopped at other Thrifty locations, but this one is the best!! It’s the most organized with the biggest selection.

Like other reviews have stated, the majority of the workers here are rude, miserable women. There has not been a single time that I’ve been here that one of them has not either been talking bad about a customer or coworker, complaining about their job, or are flat out being rude to a customer. Today they were making fun of an elderly woman who came in as I was being rang up. I asked them what the their problem was and they all instantly shut up and had no response to why they were randomly bashing an elderly woman who could no doubt probably hear them because it was taking her a while to walk down the ramp next to the registers with her cane. Imagine being so unhappy in life that you need to try and put down random customers that come into your place of work for laughs. And to blatantly do it in front of other customers. It's pretty pathetic. Hopefully this place eventually weeds out these toxic people and gets new staff.

Very rude staff! I am moving across the country tomorrow. I have donated a lot of things over the past couple of weeks and lots over the years. I have also shopped here for years. The guy that came out said he could only take what they could sell today. I had a few dishes, cubes a desk chair a small table and a few containers. He wanted to inspect everything first to see if they would take it. I was singled out as this was not done to people donating before me. I donated to Salvation Army instead. My recommendation is do not donate anything here and do not shop here!

I want to give this place more stars, but can't bring myself to. They have only one fitting room (with the potential to have more, but for some reason they are without doors), often making you wait an obscenely long time to try on anything, and you're only allowed to try on a small number of garments at once, so it is just ridiculous. Sometimes you can also overhear the staff gossiping which is pretty unprofessional. Overall, i'd say the Salvation Army in Fulton is more enjoyable. They have more fitting rooms, you are able to try on multiple garments with ease, prices are considerably better, and the staff is friendlier. I get so tired of waiting for fitting rooms, that I end up leaving without purchasing anything. People always seem to take forever in there. Why not open up another one? I don't get it.

Love love this store! Always greeted with such kindness, which is much needed during these times of trial with such pressure and frustration in the world. The staff is always super helpful and the times I’ve encountered the manager have also been really pleasant. You have to be a kickass boss to run such a wonderful store. Definitely recommend!

Stock changes quickly, great place to skim weekly. Staff is a bit hovering, and all changing rooms have been disassembled except one. I suspect that's due to a theft problem though.

Every time I go here the staff is always super friendly, the store is more organized than any other thrifty shopper I've been to, especially clothes. It's really clean which again...you don't see anywhere else. Amazing prices 👌 Definitely my number one thrifty store!!!!!

I always come to this location even though I live about 30 minutes away. The staff is amazing, especially the store manager! Always great prices, always clean and I see how hard they work to make everyone’s shopping experience a one of a kind. I would recommend visiting this store if you’re looking for some holiday gifts for less!Masks are required, be safe, be kind!

Lady with short blonde hair treated me insanely rude yesterday. I was the only customer who was told to put purse behind counter. Prices are also not consonant with other stores. Blonde lady acts like the money saved it directly being taken from her savings account.I will say, that her behavior was beyond rude. Brick wall. I hope whatever she has going on, gets better. I truly do. If your going to be a leader, be a good one, or step down.I will still continue to support thrift shopper in other locations.

I love this place! Such antiquated charm. Some of my favorite household items I use every day have been found there. I got a really nice king sized quilt... Looked hand made. Great condition. 8 dollars?!? Seriously? It is my very favorite quilt. It's probably haunted. Someone most likely died on it. I mean, why else would it be so cheap?!? But I kind of live for haunted stuff... That blanket is my absolute favorite!That's not all... I found this really nice tea pot. Most likely owned by the same kind grandma who owned my quilt. 2.99! It not only was durable, well proportioned, and beautiful, it has character, as if this someone really loved it.Finally, I got an enamel covered cast iron Dutch oven... My roommate has one like mine. They paid 300$ for it. Mine is nicer and was.... 14.99! It's so cute! It is this lovely shade of green and has a cool wheat design. Most likely also owned by that Grandma!Those were the most memorable purchases I got there, but I have gotten so many other integral pieces there...Is it the cleanest? No... Does it smell the nicest? Honestly, it smells like mothballs and someone's musty attic. Nevertheless, it is my favorite store and I plan on visiting frequently in the near future. I hope it never closes down like every other business in Oswego...

A very decent thrift shop! The workers are very very friendly. Shelving and displays used to be fairly disorganized, but they've really updated things and all of the merchandise is now very kempt and orderly. They also seem to be renovating the front of the store, so it'll be exciting to see how that turns out!

Over by the carts there are paper towels and sanitizer spray if you want to wipe down your cart. Also in same area sanitizer dispenser for hands when you get there and leave. I found some nice stuff today. A great get away for some thrifty shopping!😊💛

Love having this store near by! While traveling by boat this summer, a thrift store was a very important place to come by while in port. We are fortunate to have you here in Oswego, located in walking distance from the Oswego Canal.
