We have a rescue dog who has had a rough past down south. The staff at North Country were given a heads up ahead of our visit. They spent time with her making her feel comfortable and loved. She had good visit and lots of treats.

It was great. The doctor helped us out and was very helpful. Definitely saw that she doesn't have an ingrown nail like I thought which is wht I like and recommend to getting her nails trimmed every 8 weeks.

This review is only for their Oswego, NY office. Good Veterinary Service. We’ve taken all of our pets there for the past twenty years. The reception and billing staff are helpful and friendly, and the techs and some of the Veterinarians have been exceptionally great in care and demeanor.My favorite doctor is Dr. Oliver; Good soul with genuine compassion.No complaints except for high cost of veterinary services in general. It would be nice if they allowed reasonable payment plans to all via monthly payments.Considering that over 40% of Americans do not have $400 on hand for emergencies, I think allowing an old fashion payment plant would be the right and moral thing to do.Forget pet insurance. It’s not cost worthy and many cannot afford it, for it does not cover much. It is our experience that just one visit for one of our pets usually costs $400 with normal test and meds, by the time we leave. A wellness checkup however, costs about the same with minor tests, but if your pet needs more extensive tests, it can cost several hundred more or less.We have one dog and two cats now that are alive and well cared for, though our lone dog is now a senior. We used to have another dog and three other cats who have all passed away since we started with this Veterinary service 20 years ago. When one has to pay for services for 3 animals per year including wellness checks it really adds up, (we’ve never had more than 4 pets at any given time in past twenty years)We are not in the same financial position we were several years ago. Times are hard for everyone.In these days and hard times, veterinary services need to realize pets are not just someone’s property (as is recognized by law) and that people’s pets are like their children or even emotional life line. Everyone deserves to make a living at providing veterinary care, veterinary professionals have worked hard to earn their degree.Unfortunately not everyone makes the same kind of money as vets ( or general doctors for that matter) so a little more compassion towards financial compensation via monthly installment plans ( not via credit cards or only for the high score credit worthy) would be a huge new wave of compassionate veterinary care that is like the rest of the western world, the way it is in most countries of Europe and the Slavic and Nordic countries too.

I love our vets. The ladies at the front desk are always helpful and welcoming. The doctor truly cares about our animals. The the technicians that begin the visit are amazing with our animals. They are the highlight of the visit.

Absolutely love North Country!! I have been taking all of my pets there for the past 20+ years and they are always so amazing!! They’ve saved 3 of my animals’ lives! 100% recommend them! Recently my poor Nova had to have reconstructive surgery but thanks to North Country she made it through surgery and is recovering well!

Dr. O. is so careful, thorough and caring. She explains treatments, outcomes and suggests ways to be sure the needed medications get into our kitty's system. Generous with her time with each client and their pet you will be fortunate is you get an appointment with her. The staff, from reception to techs are all lovely to deal with. As our pet enters her senior years, we are assured she is well cared for by this team.

Dr. Odre is outstanding and was exceptional in the examination of my senior dog. She is very thorough and makes sure that the owner understands all stages of care as well as medication administration. The office staff is outstanding as well. They are receptive to the needs of pet owners and work to make sure the office visit is a pleasant one.

Always a great experience with my dogs or cats. Everyone is friendly and compassionate with the animals and people. I appreciate the care they have taken during the covid pandemic...I know some people have probably been irritated by the extra precautions, but when you are dealing with the general public and are concerned about your own workers, you have to make adjustments. They have made caring for my animals stress free and it has meant alot to me.My pets also are less stressed when we leave here than another vet I have been to in the past.

My first visit at the clinic did not disappoint. As I'm new to the area, I needed a vet for my elderly dog and my cats. The vet tech and staff were all welcoming and wonderful, as was the vet, Dr. Odre.Adding to this review- we brought one of our cats in today and Dr. Gorman went above and beyond to diagonse a fairly uncommon ailment. We are so very thankful!

I love this Vet office! The front office Staff are ALWAYS very helpful. The vets and techs too always listen to every concern and note literally everything (which is great for those of us who are worry worts). I also love that they call after an appointment to see how your pup is feeling the next day and to ask of you've had any further questions. If I ever leave the area, I can only hope that any other vet will be this great.

My parents have used this vet for years. They've always treated our pets well, with a knowledgeable and compassionate staff. Recently, my mom had to make the tough decision to put one of our kitties down. Lily fell ill over Thanksgiving and upon bringing her to North country veterinarian services, it was basically discovered that she had cancer and the most humane choice was to put her to sleep. The staff treated my mom with such compassion, comforting her through the entire process and even offering to get Lily's paw prints and bring them baked to her so that she wouldn't have to drive all the way back out to their location to get it. A few days after we received the paw prints as promised, they also sent a sympathy card. The staff truly go above and beyond to help both human and animal clients.

Love the staff! They are there to answers questions. They try to get my furbabies in quickly for an emergency. They provide clear information about what is happening with my pet. Love this place if I could give more stars I would!
