So good I came back two days in a row! The service is amazing. The wait staff very friendly. We sat inside the 1st day and we’re surrounded by a beautiful country setting. Loved every knick-knack. The 2nd day we sat outside had a view of the fall foliage.The food came right out both days.The only thing is if you want their famous apple cider donuts you have to get up early. Bikers put on those chaps and hop on that hog.The ride on 30 is amazing.Dietary restrictions: They were able to accommodate our party’s needs.

The Horseshoe Cafe catered a corporate affair for us at Plattekill Mountain. They provided both breakfast and lunch service for 150 guests. The owner and chef thought of every possible detail and provided everything we needed and more. We had several menu revisions throughout the planning process and they were very accommodating, pleasant and professional. The menu was varied and the food was absolutely delicious. If you are looking for a caterer in this area, I highly recommend the Horseshoe Cafe. You will not be disappointed! We plan to use them for the same event next year.

Absolutely amazing service and delicious food. Large clean bathrooms and spectacular friendly staff. Attentive, dedicated, and on point. We attended a baby shower at the Horseshoe Cafe on Saturday from 3-6pm. My teenage son has severe food allergies and the Horseshoe Cafe staff were just what you would dream a restaurant/eatery would be like when you present them with such a task. They took extra steps to provide food for my son: switching out gloves, going over each menu item, making a separate platter, the chef/cook offering to make a separate meal, checking on us multiple times. I felt at home. This cafe went above and beyond and we appreciate that level of attention and service. The huge pepperoni, crackers with cheese platter and fruit platter was fresh and beautifully presented. Big platters! The chicken piccata was succulent, penne alla vodka scrumptious, and those garlic knots could rival the garlic knots in a NYC pizzeria. With a capacity of 48 in the cafe, this hidden gem in upstate NY is perfect for a family event. And there are tables and chairs outside too so in warmer weather, possible could fit more. Loved this place and understood all the hype. Thank you Horseshoe Cafe for making us feel at home.

The family stopped for breakfast and we were very pleased. The place is cowboy/Western themed and all new. Very clean. The waitresses were pleasant and efficient. The food was reasonably priced, well-cooked and came out quickly. The bathroom was immaculate. I would highly recommend. We'll be back for lunch and dinner.

For the Locals that I know already appericate a Gem such as the Horseshoe Cafe within their community. To the visitors near and far, STOP HERE. Its small business, family owned, and everyone was kind and friendly. Its a real humble place. My mother and I are from Jersey and we love some good food, especially me. Being from Jersey, I have eaten foods from a variety of cuisines. But this place is just GREAT. We had the Horseshoe Cafe cater our wedding and were very happy with their customer service, professionalism and quality. They delivered the food, which stayed nice and hot for our outdoor wedding on what turned out to be a cold, rainy day. The charcuterie boards were delicious and beautiful and the cannoli were a huge hit. We also stopped in the cafe before the wedding for a meal and very much enjoyed it. We will be back again.

Stopped in for lunch, had their Garlic Parmesan Wings, they were superb!! Fried crispy, with enough garlic and parmesan cheese to stick to the wings making every bite delicious! Also hand cut fries, not the frozen 'dime a dozen' ones! Whole meal was on point. And wasn't over priced! 2 people, 2 meals and an appetizer (the wings) came to $35 and was filling enough that we didn't have dinner that night

We drove for 45 mins to get here. Got here at 9:00 am.Sign says Saturdays open at 8amBut they were closed? No sign indicating why? Strange? We will not make the trip again . Very disappointed.10/27/23

Stopped by for a lunch and even though it was almost closing time the staff was friendly and very accommodating. The food was excellent and homemade French fries were so good. We had sweet tea which we have not been able to get in upstate New York. For dessert a large piece of carrot cake which was excellent. Small town with delicious food.

Saw the reviews and had to try the Horseshoe. We went on a Saturday and got there probably just after the morning rush. We waited 10 minutes for a table to be cleared before we were seated and another 10 for coffee. Ok a little slow, gotta say good coffee though strong coffee. Long wait for food, 45 min for breakfast, the other tables had been all served before we came in. Easy breakfast for me eggs up home fries and sausage, Maple sausage??? Didn't see that one coming. Yick! Home fries cooked on the same flat top as maple sausage = maple home fries double yick!! The wife had an omelet home fries and sausage, but she likes it so goodie for her. Don't want to beat this place up cause the atmosphere is nice the people are nice, maybe just an off day or super busy breakfast service. One star off for the slow service. Everything was cooked perfect, I ate my breakfast, didn't really like it but I ate it. Honey was very happy with hers. Drink some of that coffee and try to cheer up the girl clearing tables, and warn a body about you know what. I will try another time, maybe a hamburger. A maple hamburger??? nah couldn't be.

Great location, service, and food. The Reubens were to die for! I think the marble rye bread was even homemade--impressive. The building is new, nicely decorated, and very clean (including the bathrooms). Quick and pleasant service. We will definitely be back.

Good food. The sandwich I had was excellent. The breakfast buffet that they offer on the weekend looks delicious although I have not personally tried it. There staff was extremely personable and checked several times to make sure we didn't need anything else. The only drawback I found is that although they offer fresh cut fries I was not a fan of them. I have had their breakfast sandwiches on multiple occasions and have never been disappointed. This restaurant offers both to-go service and dine in service. Although not huge, their dining is spacious with many rustic touches and finishes.

Surprisingly good! Excellent service. Generous portions. Pastrami sandwich NOT Boar's Head brand: much better! Will definitely be going back. Already told my friends: we're in Greene County, and the drive is worth it. Lovely!
