I come in here every other week basically. He is very friendly and answers all of my questions! Many fish stores, I take the fish home and they die. This one, I have never had an issue they all come happy and healthy! He has all the food, supplies, and answers to questions! This is definitely the place to go!

This store is amazing. The owner is extremely knowledgeable about aquariums. I've been in the hobby for a few years, and have researched everything I possibly can, but still learn something new almost every time I go. I've purchased many fish from here and they are always healthy and happy (as long as you acclimate them properly to YOUR aquarium). I suspect the poor reviews are people who didn't know what they were doing. I cannot fathom giving this store anything less than 5 stars.Note: I've stocked 2X 75 Gallon, a 36 gallon bow front, a 37 gallon, a 10 gallon, a 15 gallon tall, and a 40 gallon breeder entirely from Wild Things Pet Shop. All of my fish are doing very well.

They have a huge selection of well kept, beautiful fish. Owner is incredibly knowledgeable about fishkeeping with both fresh and saltwater - and they're never too busy to help you out. Very personable and helpful, and they won't try to rip you off. I would highly recommended you visit here before any of the chain stores.

if I could give this place zero stars I would the experience was horrible customer service horrible the salt water and freshwater tanks were disgusting. Owners asked us to leave after we started taking pictures of the filthy tanks for review. DONT BUY FROM THIS PLACE!! The fish look neglected I worked at a coral reef place in south Florida and I’ve never seen fish look so bad!

By far the best pet store within 100 miles. I only buy my fish,products and saltwater corals and fish from Bill and his wife. Very trustworthy ans knows his stuff. I have spent a lot of money here and will continue to do so because of knowledge and trust. Support local business and not corporate. Never had one issue and they are always there to help and give good advice. Been in the fish hobby for 35 years and they are one of the best in the business.

Absolutely love this pet shop. Knowledgeable owner, his wife is awesome as well. The selection of fish, reptiles, aquariums and equipment, corals, and other animals is extensive and more exotic than you can find at ANY other pet store in the area. The fish tanks could DEFINITELY use a good cleaning and some of the fish are kept in too crowded of an environment. Both easy fixes. I’ve only ever had one fish from her, an angel fish, die and I think it was because of my water or something in my tank, not because of anything related to the pet shop. All in all, this place is great. Great owners, great pet selection, great atmosphere, and great shopping experience. Highly highly recommend!

Very disappointed. I’ve bought 5 fish from here and not a single one has lived over 2 weeks. The best part is he won’t do anything about it and says it’s my fault. It’s not just me either. I have two tanks up running with more than 4 fish in each all living but from different places. Tanks are filthy never been cleaned. And I have also never had a piece of coral survive from his place either. Absolutely disappointed in this fish store will not return.

We went there to see what kind of reptiles they have but made to feel like we really weren't wanted there. Barely a selection and the tanks were dirty. Even the empty tanks were dirty.

See the thing is for me is that not only do you get great and tested stuff for your aquarium or reptile there, you also get valuable information and piece of mind. And when it comes to know how and quality information with a smile from the owner the knowledge is what you get that is absolutely priceless. If anyone writes a review for Wild Things that is dissatisfied or feel wronged I'm very sure its NOT the owners fault its most defiantly your own fault because when it comes to a fresh water or salt water aquariums everyone who has this hobby knows that you just cant blame someone else for loosing fish or a poorly put together aquarium but your self. There are way too many variables and there is absolutely NO way to tell if it was the fish he sells that caused your failure to keep fish alive in your own aquarium. And if there was a sickly fish or critter that was sold I am very sure the owner would work with anyone to resolve the issue. So when it comes to people saying that he sold someone bad fish or bad products he knows and everyone else that does the hobby of fish keeping knows that its defiantly the own persons fault and only that one persons fault NOT his. If you are a good Aquariest and have been for any extent of time you know as well as I do that purchasing fish you look them over really well and make your choosing based on a few criteria that you put together over time and things will be just fine. Besides anyone that keeps an aquarium beautiful and running good with NO casualties knows that when things start dying the person that is taking care of it has most defiantly done or did NOT do something that caused the death(s) in the first place Weather its water quality, filter quality or food quality. Keeping an aquarium is NOT just putting water in a glass box with some cool looking gravel and decor and a filter and fish from the pet store and just let it go. It takes REAL skill and knowledge of what your doing to take care of it properly and NO one ever gets it right the very first time. I give Wild Things 5 stars because I know good information when I see and hear it and the prices are below what your going to pay at the big box stores. Thank you very much.

They have a nice selection of fish and reptiles, very knowledgeable people, friendly and honest...I was going to buy a fish I liked but the owner wouldn't let me, after closer inspection it didn't look quite right, he said, to let him treat the fish and call him in a few days and if all was well I could purchase the fish then. I really appreciate the honesty. Will definitely do business there again.

I been to all sorts of fish shops from solvay and syracuse to Binghamton and albany. By far I find this shop the best. It has everything you actually need to take care of the fish like tools, appliances, tanks, stands, medicine and the shop owner is extremely knowledgeable and is so willing to help you and answer all (FISH RELATED) questions. I never felt I have been talked into a purchase like other stores where it's just a sale. This shop legit gives great advice and the type of care you lost through these times. I been doing business here for about 3 years now with my aquarium and I feel very confident leaving this as a review.Also shop owners wife is absolutely delightful. Sweetest women I ever met.

We stopped by on a whim to find some snails. The store was pretty busy for late on a Saturday afternoon. The owner seems knowledgeable and is pretty friendly, but not super talkative. I was a little disappointed in the lack of options, but they had what I needed at a fair price. If you're looking for a tank or supplies, they seemed to have a really good selection of whatever you might want. We'll be back!

Always friendly and helpful no matter how much or little I spend in his store. He takes the time to answer all my questions, even the silly ones. He does what he can to get what you need IF he doesn't have it in the store. He is very knowledgeable and knows what he's doing with reptiles and fish. You never have to wonder if you're getting solid advice or good info. I would, and do recommend Wild Things to anyone looking for fish or reptiles, or just in need of friendly advice.

The owner knows what he’s talking about and is friendly and willing to answer questions about any animal that he has experience with and (considering the number of different fish, reptiles, mammals and other interesting pets he cares for) he has experience with most animals. Prices are good and the animals are all healthy and well taken care of. You can tell that the animals are properly cleaned and fed. The owner also sells food for even the strangest of pets and has a large selection of decorations for reptiles, and aquariums especially.

Super friendly and accommodating! I have gone here for my 2 youngest "kids" and he has been great about setting expectations with order and delivery timeframes (he doesn't always keep ferrets in house) and is wonderful to work with. Of my last 2, 1 was ordered and 1 was a resident there, and both were found to be the sweetest, most home-ready little boys I could ask for. Walked in to the store expecting it to be nice for how many stars it has. Fish tanks dirty as can be except a few, emaciated leopard geckos with poop all over. Ball pythons without a hide, full of poop and urates. Tons of dead cockroaches in their own tank. Prices aren’t the worst but I’m more concerned for the safety and health of those animals.

These people recommended a local exotic/reptile vet to me after I moved back into the area, and I poked around their store and it seemed pretty good; I didn't buy anything at the time and there was no sale pressure. The owner talked to me for a bit--he apparently breeds snakes--and there were some interesting leopard gecko color morphs. All the animals looked healthy and well-cared-for, even the bettas in bowls, though the 'sale' section is kind of dusty and ill-organized. I will definitely come back here for my gecko food.

Very disappointed! I did not purchase anything because of how poorly kept the animals were. The fish tanks look like they have never been cleaned, they were filled with nasty water and had alge grown all over the tanks. Some tanks you couldnt even see the fish. I didnt bother to talk to the owner, I was so furious with the animal abuse going on in the shop. I was excited to see they had a big tank for the koi however the tank was absolutely disgusting and there were to many fish for the space of the tank, I'm truly sad with how these animals are being treated.I understand its hard to keep up with so many tanks but it was ridiculous!!!!

Lots of selection! The tanks are mostly full of algae everywhere but not so sure if that's a bad thing as the water is still clear and the fish are healthy. I've bought quite a few freshwater fish over the last few months and none of them have died or gotten sick (neon tetras, glass catfish, upside down catfish, severum, electric blue acara, amano shrimp,nerite snails, bettas, african dwarf frogs, german blue ram). Meanwhile the fish I've bought from petsmart have mostly died.Owner is easy going and can help you out with any advice you need. Actually, when I bought my electric blue acara he looked at the tank and suggested I wait another week or so just to make sure they weren't sick. They're not cheap fish and him being honest about not buying them right away means quite a bit to me.

I've been keeping aquariums for 45 years with only a couple short breaks. I prefer dealing with shops like Wild Things because they're usually more personable, really care if you're enjoying your aquarium(s), care if you're a repeat customer, and genuinely enjoy "talkin' the hobby" with you. Bill, the owner, does all these thing and then some. The shop is always welcoming as is anyone who works there. I have never seen him rush dealing with anyone even, when there's a crowd in the store. He's always careful not to sell fish that are in questionable health and careful to fully explain the shops return policy. An A+++ place to buy fish and aquarium supplies from.

I called asking if they had any crested geckos... and although they didn't have any, I love how the store owner personally breeds them! Not many stores around here do, they are usually shipped! I'm looking forward to getting a crested to add to new additions in my family (although I do already have one I want more!) Their prices for everything is low and relatively affordable! Me and my boyfriend could go looking for hours in this store and have a blast! Animals all look healthy as could be, I love looking in the tanks and seeing happy and (as I could see) healthy fish swimming about!

Bill is absolutely the best. He has helped me for several years with money issues questions but most of all his honesty. He is probably one of the only people I trust to help me where I live. He is so knowledgeable and he takes care of his animals he is top-notch. His prices can't be beat... And to be honest even if there was something that was a little bit more expensive then another place I would buy it from him!

Bill is great, he takes the time to answer any questions you might have with the fish/reptiles or even let you play with the occasional ferret he gets in. He has good prices and his feeders and animals are much healthier and well cared for than the alternatives in the area(petsmart, petsuppliesplus). Cages are clean, animals are happy looking and ive never had any issues with any of the animals/feeders I've purchased there. He has the best selection of fish and aquariums around.
