Tons of items at very low prices! You have to love their “Crazy Deals” where you get back a store gift card in either the full amount of some items or a portion of it e.g. buying a pergola for $2000 and getting back a $2000 gift card! I like their seasonal garden items that are tons cheaper than Lowe’s or Home Depot. They also have a lot of home goods, clothing, carpets, etc, but my favorite is their outdoor and kitchen selections. There’s always tons of parking and they open everyday. The staff are always really nice and helpful. I bet it’s a great place to work!

Very nice store very well kept with some good deals but you have to know what you're shopping for and what do you market price for most of his sometimes you can get some good finds over times everything is price pretty much where you can find everywhere else. But always fun to go shopping here

Place is well stocked but it is a little drab. Could use some paint as the walls are raw sheetrock and maybe an overhead sound system where they announce specials and deals while also playing music like some other Ocean State Job Lot locations. Staff is friendly and helpful. In conclusion this store in particular is one of the better ones I have been to and I enjoy the many different items I purchase there.

Visiting from Missouri. Never heard of this store (thought it was some kind of employment training facility until noticing shoppers taking their bargains to their cars). We entered & loved browsing (& buying) the variety of discounted goods! Courteous service from friendly staff. I'll go again!

Love this store in Mahopac. It is so clean & neat. The workers are very nice & helpful. If you can't find something they will stop what they are doing & bring you to where it is!

Management has no "clue" how to run a store foods department went Downhill dramatically which is funny now that they have half the store working in that section!! Staff were very friendly and helpful. The store was much larger than I thought and carries a really big selection of products. Shelves were well stocked and clean. I bought an outdoor table. “Phil” brought it to the front of the store for me and then helped me put it in the car. When I tried to give him a tip for being so helpful he refused to take it. I definitely plan on making this store a regular part of my shopping routine.

If I could give a higher rating I would. Amanda was so helpful going above and beyond. While she was helping me the other ladies were helping an older man with no receipt who was starting to get upset. They resolved his issues with patience and he left happy. I love this store

I always have a great time shopping here and go home with some good bargains. Returns have always been very easy, and the staff is pleasant.Just bought a bunch of holiday decorations as they had a great selection using a crazy cash card I received when turning in a bunch of rolled coins! I got a gift card for the coins, and a % more as a bonus!

I LOVE this store! So many good deals. Be sure to check the flyers, Insider and Crazy Deals. Cash back on gift cards is fabulous. I've found great prices on MANY food items. The selection is very interesting. Take the time to look well. So many useful household items. Staff is helpful and pleasant.

My daughter bought a 60 dollar sports roller that overheated and smelled of melting plastic the first time we used it. We returned the following day and the store would only credit $20 because she did nod keep this receipt. Stores have the analytics through through sku numbers and credit card info to know what was paid. This is simply very poor company policy and service. I wish Mahopac had a more legitimate store like Target.

Store just opened last week. The staff was friendly and helpfull. Decent prices on the items as most of if not all are closeout items from other stores. The store itself is ok. Still dated from when it was kmart 3 years ago but was clean. However they need better organization. There are specific departments but things are just randomly placed in the store as well. The parking lot is also in need to be resurfaced. Too many large cracks and holes where someone not paying attention or walking with a cane can get hurt on. Overall good store for discounted/closeout items. Would recommend

I never know what I am going to come home with when I shop at Ocean State. I went in looking for a bird feeder and ended up buying everything I need to reorganize my closet. When it came time to checking out, the cashier Frank, was extremely nice and personable. .

I have shopped several times at this store and have called asking questions about in stock items. I am impressed with the customer service of those who answer the phone and work in the store. They are kind and courteous. My last experience with their customer service went above and beyond. The manager went out of her way to obtain items I needed from another location on her own time. It's a pleasure to deal with this store.

They have plenty of great things here and have terrific prices, but like anything else, you get what you pay for. There are plenty of hidden gems, but you do have the occasional cheap garbage also.

The lady who checked me out was not engaged and talked about how she was clocking out shortly to escape the location. Not exactly a good impression. Interior of the store is organized well for the array of items they have, and was relatively clean.

I come here often. The staff is always helpful and pleasant. It’s a huge Ocean State I’ve only ever shopped at the one in Clinton CT. Mahopac is organized and clean. They also donate to many different local charities which I’m happy to give a donation and the staff loves it.
