Hands down the best goodwill I have ever visited. I enjoy goodwill, I make occasional visits. I quite like shopping at goodwill, but I like shopping at this goodwill the most. The selection is amazing and the service is incredible. This is quite possibly the best goodwill of all the Rochester area goodwills. The weird T-Shirt department is lacking but that is made up for by the abundance of sewing machines. This is THE goodwill to go to if you’re looking for a goodwill to go to.

Nice big store with a lot of stuff to choose from. My kids and I love going here on Sundays for dollar day. Staff is always friendly but lines can sometimes be long. I wasn't really happy with the way they changed policy and now have set prices on items as some of the items just don't seem worth the price they are asking.

Vicki was super efficient, kind and helpful!😎✅💙🙏💯🔥 I went in for a blue tie for Temple, found one immediately! 👔✅🔥 Also got a bunny rabbit tote for Mom and a baby shark coloring book, not sure why but the Holy Ghost demanded I do it! 🤷🏼🦈❓ Anyways, Vicki got me signed up for the rewards program in seconds, now I'm a Goodwill Gazillionaire!™️✅🔥🔥💙🙏

The store and the cashiers are always great. The female manager is hands down the rudest person most unprofessional bait and switch pricer and needs serious guidance. When she gets caught at her game, she takes it out on the customer. Stop putting conflicting price stickers on things and blaming the customer for it. It's getting old.

The manager (Heather) was so rude. She came out from the back already red faced and in a bad mood. I was really confused because she said they couldn't hold the desk because there was no room in the back but that doesnt make sense because they could bring something out in its place to make room. She was just refusing to even listen or hear me out before she even walked out of the back. So rude and unprofessional. And lacking empathy for someone that works in environment around donations and those that can't afford brand new things. Heather was unapologetic and even smiled, as if she was satisfied with my disappointment. I didnt raise my voice or return her rudeness, but I did leave my cart of treasures and left the store...Heather refused to let me come back tomorrow morning with a truck without any real reason. This has been my favorite goodwill for YEARS and I have never had a problem holding an item for less than 24 hours. My husband doesnt get out of work until 9pm so we couldn't get it today.I dont think I'll be returning to this store. Very unfortunate. Should probably offer some customer service training.Happy Holidays****Update.My husband stopped on his way home from work at 8:30pm that night and she initially told him they could not hold it. Because of the time she finally allowed him to pay for it, as long as he could be there the next morning. She didnt say yes without being rude about it though, of course not!! She said "great now I'm going to have to ask someone to move the thing". Oh, and it was literally like 10 feet from the back doors.... boy. This lady NEEDS customer service training like no other.We arrived at 10:45am and Heather had already put the (paid for) desk back on the floor. They had been open for less than 2 hours! And I live 30 minutes away! Wow, she is great at being awful. The desk is mine now though. She told me no and it's sitting in my office right now. I am going to take this time to be a bit childish and say, take that Heather! Ha!!!!!

Really nice store, big and very clean. Good selection of clothes but not so much with books and movies and toys. Customer service is very nice but some of the things I feel are overpriced such as the name brand bags. You can go to other thrift stores and they're 50% cheaper at least. It would be nice if the clothes were sized in order, when I went they were all jumbled and I don't mean just a few out of order, all the tshirt sizes were mixed together.

Good selection but employees were making it clear several times they are closing. Even came up to us and said they are closing then 2 mins later said they are closing again. Don’t badger people. Let us shop and then we will go.

It's a little out of the way for me, but whenever travels take me up this way, I always try to make time to stop in to this Goodwill. It's well organized, clean, and I always find a lot of nice clothes for the family. Sometimes housewares, as well, if something catches my eye. But I mostly come for the clothes. Staff always seems nice and helpful, as well. Nice sized store!

I found some nice things. But I heard another customer ask an employee for help. She couldn't find the price on an item. Employee said not nicely, just look, it's on there. Employee couldn't be bothered to help a customer. It would have taken 2 seconds.

It was a little bit busy at the register, but not horribly so. I found some things... of course, there is never any guarantee of what they have in at any given time, so some trips are better than others!

This store is very well organized and clean, it even smells good, not like some donation centers. The staff that I spoke to were very friendly and helpful. I appreciate these qualities and will shop here again.

Goodwill is a thrift store posing as a charity. It is for profit with no money going to charity. The CEO makes over $1000000. You can get some good deals here. I've lost over 60 lbs I'm not looking to buy new clothes because I'm going to lose more weight. Service is pretty much nonexistent except for staff at the register and people who work in the background taking donations & getting clothes ready and stocking them.

Kudos to the AMAZING staff at the Macedon location! I have donated and shopped many times but this time I donated something accidently. I called 2 weeks later after missing it and knew it was a long shot...but the staff took my info. Much to my surprise they found my item and called me back! It was an item for my baby that I really loved and I was so happy to have it again. 10 stars for staff at Macedon!

If you're going to Goodwill on Dewey Avenue Rochester New York be prepared to have a quarter to put in their shopping carts just like Aldi. I had to go back to my car to get change.

Largest and cleanest thrift store I’ve been to. Selection is vast and most things are in good condition. Employees are always nice and the restrooms are clean.

I went to Macedon Goodwill to drop off donations and was greeted rudely when I pullef up at the donation drop off. A young girl popped her lips, rolled her eyes and as she came outside just starred at me. I opened the door and trunk as she went inside thinking she was getting a truck ot cart to retrieve the items. Nope, she watched me from inside and as confused as I felt she just stood at the window. I approached the door and she asked me what is it that I need and my simple reply, I have donations. She said okay with her hands on her hip and waited until I was almost done to help get a bag. I have never In the 13 years of donating ever experienced what i consider rudeness and poor etiquette. I decided to take the uhaul full of furniture to another location as I'm not in any condition to life items on my own and most certainly not household furniture. Poor customer service...dissatisfied with such a friendly location.

This is not so much about this store inpaticular, more so about the company itself, it's disgusting how they create a company called goodwill to make ppl comfortable donating to them and the make 100 percent profit, nothing going to charity, the only "CHARITY" they can claim is giving people employment. I'm sorry but the last time I checked, that's called a business... also raising prices and getting rid of half off incentives when you are making 100 percent profit is pathetic, I called the corporate number to ask the reasoning behind these changes and got a tongue tied response that ended in me receiving the worst customer service I've ever had. Bottom line, this company is one of the most disgusting examples of virtue signaling for a profit I hope I ever see.

The staff is very nice and capable. Lots of golf clubs to look at and the book selection is nice as well. We call it the Goodwill on the hill.

It presents a good opportunity to drop off old book and purchase new to you books. Kids are always outgrowing clothes and you can often find high end brands here.
