Went in tonight to get a fuse for a buddy’s furnace. Well welcomed as soon I was walked in the store. I asked the cashier (I didn’t get name) showed her what I needed she told me what aisle it was in how far in it was and while still at the counter she told me to look at the very bottom. Very pleased since I was in a hurry I didn’t have to look she knew exactly where it was. I will definitely be returning for future needs. 10 out of 10

Although I have shopped there for years and never had a situation, I recently was there with a $10 off $10 coupon which included batteries for $9.99 and a new dial for my air fryer for $5.49 which brought the bill to $16.27 and of course dial didn’t work so prior I want to make sure I could bring it back which I could, now I bring it back and they only want to give me $.49 when I paid $6 and change in cash which was pretty much for the dial…. make sure when you use a coupon that says so much off for so much off, that you have nothing else with it because if u need to return they will not refund the differences. There wasn’t even a mention of a store credit for the difference at the time of return… That is the bottom line.Have your lawyer, check the fine print!

My ACE that is closest to me is somewhat small, but it carries a lot. What most impresses me are the helpful employees that are so willing to help. I will always go to ACE. I also like there rewards programs and coupons they send you if you are a member. They come in handy.UPDATE: had the screen replaced on my sliding glass door. Turn around time was short and they did a great job. Love my ACE!!

I always check here first before I head to home Depot or Lowe's. It's small and convenient. Carries a ton of odds and ends and usually has what I'm looking for from pool care to plumbing. Quick and easy in and out!

Absolutely dreadful customer service by the Manager himself. Rude, snippy, and didn’t explain anything to me when I tried to buy a battery that was part of a promotion and you get a free tool. Tried to shop somewhere other than the big box stores but will stick with Lowe’s and Home Depot from now on.

I stopped in to get some woodstove pipe and roof support. I ended up leaving my stuff I wanted to purchase on the counter. The gentleman in the back was extremely rude . Wouldn't let me explain or let me look at a product he kept behind the counter to make sure it was the same I had.

Ace Hardware on Route 57 Liverpool New York is the best hardware store I have ever been in. The staff is very knowledgeable about everything, and I mean everything. They know what you're trying to accomplish and they set you up with everything you'll need to complete your project. They tell you what to do and explain all the pitfalls you're going to encounter. This is especially relevant when tackling a plumbing or electrical project. I always believe that if I go to one of the bigger home improvement stores I'll save money. Not so fast!!! Back in the day learning as a new homeowner I was told that my sink was bad because the flange was shot and I needed to replace the sink by a larger store. I went to shop around for prices and when I got to the hardware store, they explained that they sell the flanges for about 5 dollars, which according to the other stores was built into the sink. Wow after a little bit of instruction and the flange, some plumbers putty, and about 8.00 dollars I was in plumbers heaven. 1 hour later and my plumbing project was completed. No fuss no muss. Who knew? Ever since then I always head towards Ace Hardware on route 57 for any project that's in front of me.

Stopped in to pickup a pair of gloves,which they had. Business was very neat and clean,staff were neat and clean. Staff met you as you walked in the door and asked if they could help. Staff greeted you with a smile, were very polite, and very knowledgeable. Store had everything you could think of.I doubt anyone could walk out of the store empty handed.

I absolutely LOVE getting what I need/shopping at ACE! They are an amazing locally owned store that has everything you need!The staff is extremely friendly and unbelievably knowledgable! They are never annoyed when you ask for help (I know I personally can be quite annoying with my 100 questions). They make sure you have exactly what you need to get the job done the right way. I would honestly be lost without the staff.Prices are fantastic as well. They also have specials all the time and a nice rewards program.Support local- go to ACE!

I needed a couple of washers for my basement faucet, so I brought them with me to Suburban ACE. What I got was much more.I apologize for not getting his name, but the gentleman who helped me shows the Real Value of going to Suburban ACE.Apparently one of the screws holding the washer in was quite rusted and the ACE member wouldn't be satisfied to just get me a replacement washer.So, he took at least 10 minutes to carefully remove the screw and find a replacement.That is the quality of service you aren't likely to get at a big box store.I give Suburban ACE 5 Aces.

I go to the big home stores looking for something I need for the house and almost always end up here finding better quality for a better price. My last purchase was a pedestal sump pump.

Went in for some leaf bags this afternoon. It's about a block from my house, so the convenience is great. However, when I walked in, the two men that were working (neither of whom was helping another customer), rather than greeting me or asking me if I needed help, continued to have a conversation about customers who dropped cash in the store. The essence was that the employees made no attempt to return the money to the unknowing customers. The younger employee said he had picked up $200 and $400 on separate occasions. They didn't even pause this conversation when I went to check out. Bottom line is that on top of being unwelcoming and unhelpful, I was extremely put off by their employees dishonesty and blatant bragging about it. There are enough other hardware-type stores in the area, that I will probably start going elsewhere. While I would prefer to give my business to the little guy, rather than Lowes or Home Depot, I'd prefer a little courtesy with my business.
