Everyone here is very polite and personable. I enjoy all my conversations with everyone. I also go to the grooming salon where Tanya has been taking care of my dogs for years. She is awesome!

I have visited this store 3 times in the last 3 weeks to buy Christmas gifts and regular food. Each time I've had a bad experience but last night was the worse. What is the point of having people working if they don't want to help? I asked boy working if he knew where to find Natural Balence cat food and he just shrugged and pointed and told me to look on the other side of the store. Ok? Before I could ask where he ran off and was playing on with his phone. Once again what's the point? And in front of a customer who needs help. He is very unhelpful. I tried to ask the girl working by the animals and she kept ignoring me and talking over me to the boy. I almost walked out but came back in and asked the girl at the register because she was standing there and she told me an idea but what I needed was not there. Which is another problem I cannot find the things I need at this store, you need to be ordering more product of what you sell. I find it very hard to believe that you have employees unable to help people or just unwilling to. This is not my first choice of a pet store but I do not want to drive to cicero everytime as I live here in clay. I have read other reviews and clearly this store does not care if their employees are rude and unhelpful. Retrain or fire them

Called to see if the dog food flavor my dog eats and the gentleman that answered the phone was very nasty saying it says right online we don't do stock checks over the phone. So instead of getting my business I'm buying it online and this store will never get my business again. Another example of terrible post COVID customer service it's everywhere.This was the Clay store by the way.

Let me say that PetSmart upstate New York is a complete joke . Brian the manager at this location is even more of a joke, untrianed miserable person who hates his job and treats customers with no respect. In NYC I have never had an issue but they need to get better trained employees upstate . This store is run like a joke

Love this store. Have gone here for all our dogs toy and food needs since getting him 4 1/2 years ago. Have also used the grooming services and have never had a bad experience, they even let us bring our own shampoo(as long as it’s in the original bottle). The staff is always friendly and helpful and you can really tell that they love animals. The only reason for 4 stars is because they are probably a little overpriced, but that’s to be expected from a national chain store, but they always seem to have sales going on.

I love this store, the employees are always so friendly and the store is always so clean. The only reason I'm giving 4/5 stars is today a manager was loudly criticizing an employee in an unnecessarily rude manner, creating an uncomfortable environment for both customers and employees. Especially when he was talking to another employee behind her back. Unacceptable.

Went yesterday for Black Friday shopping. It wasn't terribly busy but it picked up some. There wasn't a lot of help in the store from employees, just the 2 girls at the register were left to help anyone, or the girl feeding the animals. While they had to check out every person in large line, I noticed multiple employees who I couldn't find anywhere, were now all talking to each other. I can only assume they are not cashiers, based on the fact of one man standing in a corner talking to two or three other men for nearly 10 minutes while the line kept growing. I had to wait 5-7 minutes to reach a register because of how many people were in line and nobody was helping the two cashiers. I would like to note how nicely they handled the line. I am also that there weren't any discounts on a majority of the food, only toys and treats. Mainly for dogs too not even for cats. If you are going to run Black Friday sales then you should include all animals and not just dogs.

As someone who has worked in the customer service industry for 10+ years I must say that I have never been more impressed with the professionalism and knowledge provided by the staff at this location. Specifically Mikayla, not only was this person kind and extremely helpful but also payed very close attention to detail and ensured that I went into this new adventure informed and comfortable with the needs of the newest addition to my family. Honestly it was a breath of fresh air. She took the time to help me find everything I needed and was able to flawlessly multitask to meet the needs of other guests as well. She made sure that she acknowledged waiting guests and immediately communicated to her team that there was someone in need of assistance, to which a gentleman promptly responded and began to help those waiting. I have never had a bad experience at this location however today’s visit stuck out to me because of the level of service I received. I was absolutely blown away by How immediately comfortable I was during the shopping experience. 15/10 Will definitely be back again. Five stars is certainly not enough to express the gratitude I have for Mikayla and the team. So thank you all so very much and I will see you soon :)-N

Service is usually okay. Sometimes it may take a while to get an employee to help you out, but they usually do their best. The only complaint I have is that when Andy cashed me out, I told him I had a phone number with you guys, and he just shrugged it off and said "you're good", and I was not able to get the points I was entitled to. He should prioritize the customer more, and listen to them instead of shrugging it off.

i recently moved to the syracuse area and was in need to restock my pet supplies for my cats. the shorter fair-skinned girl with glasses was very helpful in helping me find some new things that my might like to ease their anxiety after the move. she must have the magic touch because my cats loved the things she helped me find. i look forward to seeing her the next time i’m in the store.

Always a positive experience coming to this location. Staff is always helpful and friendly. We're here today for grooming services on our recently adopted pup..the staff made him feel so welcome and special and he wasn't scared of the new experience at all. We come here because the selection is great too for their bones/chew things. Staff also helpful with the engraving machine.

Route 31 location in the town of Clay, New York and I don’t remember the young persons name but they had red dyed hair and a pale complexion at the register where I checked out. My complaint of this individual is they are incredibly rude and unprofessional. Every location I shop at in your company asks for your phone number and always says whether the customer has a $2.50 or $5.00 coupon from your rewards. I had a 5 dollar coupon and had to inquire about why this person wouldn’t tell me about the rewards I had to use for my purchase. Her answer was in a very rude way , verbatim, “ It’s up to my discretion if I want to give it you and if I decide I want to give it to you.” In what world is it ok to speak to a customer this way and how dare they act so condescending and lazy to someone who is a regular at this store location. This is not the first time though I have experienced her deplorable behavior as a customer. There was another instance recently where I questioned the items discount at purchase with this same person. I was buying purina pro plan for my cat and knew the bag of dry food didn’t ring up price wise correctly. I had to leave the line and take a photo proving it wasn’t charging me the discount correctly after she argued with me saying I was wrong. I’m not sure why this person thinks this is professional, acceptable, or ok in any way to be so rude , lazy, and condescending to customers who shop at your store regularly for very expensive food. My fiancée and I have rescued 6 animals and buy the best food we can at at your store but we shouldn’t be worried about coming in when this beyond unprofessional, unpleasant, and just miserable person works there. This is disgusting that a worker would 1 , refuse the rewards I earned for buying so much from your store, 2 , act so unprofessional to the point I’ve had to defend myself as a customer, and 3 be so lazy to the point that when I questioned what I knew about as a regular customer for my reward that I was met with being told in so many words that as a worker if they decided they felt like telling me about it they would but if I didn’t say anything they would have just used their discretion for MY coupon and ignored it. Who does this person think they are and how do you allow people like this to represent and work for your company when they are rude every-time I come in, lazy to the point of having to fight for my earned rewards as a customer, and is blatantly nasty to me for knowing my rewards and your system. It’s disgusting and want to be contacted immediately as this is not ok, and I’m tired of being treated so terribly. I don’t deserve it especially when I come to this location as often as I do. I hope to hear back soon as I am not letting this unbelievably unprofessional and terribly rude experience go as this has happened multiple times now by the same person working there. I don’t deserve to be treated this way because they are unpleasant and miserable.

The sales clerk on the floor was very knowledgeable of what were looking for. She also let us know their return policy. It was very nice of them to try out product and return within 60days. Sadly my moms cat died within a few days of purchasing the products and they gladly returned the items

Wife and I went to the store for some Christmas gifts. Staff wasn’t enforcing the tyrannical governor’s commie mask mandate. Well Done! In return we got several gifts. Staff was nice, friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work!

I brought my pug Carlotte in for a nail trim. I am so pleased with the way Shannon treated her. Just such a good experience for both of us. I will drive the extra miles to use Pet Smart because I'm so pleased at the relaxing environment that could be a disaster! Everyone in pet grooming was so nice! I regret not leaving Shannon a gift certificate for coffee or her favorite thing in the morning

Never bringing my dog here ever again to get groomed. It was my puppies first time being groomed so I expected him to not be the greatest but as a "professional" dog groomer, there shouldn't be an excuse to not groom any dog properly. I understand my puppy not liking the blow dryer but to barely towel dry and then to not brush him is unbelievably unprofessional and downright wrong. If I wanted a cob job I would have done it myself! My dog was still wet walking out to the car on a very windy 32 degree day. If you want quality grooming, I suggest going somewhere far away from here! The laziness has no bounds here!
