Our cat, Anoush, was not a patient here. Last night, she took a turn for the worse, and we couldn't find anyone to help her cross the rainbow bridge on a Saturday.But we found out about Lewiston Animal Hospital and gave them a call.They got us in quickly this morning. Everyone we met was very friendly, and accommodating for 3 grieving adults and 1 very heartbroken kid to say goodbye. Despite never seeing Anoush before, they helped us to help her pass away peacefully.These people are very sweet, lovely, and compassionate. They gave us 3 boxes, each with her paw prints and a vial of her fur inside.Thank you, Lewiston Animal Hospital, for helping me and my family. It would've broken our hearts to see her suffer until Monday, so we are very grateful that you welcomed us with open arms.

We are new to Lewiston AH and I was able to get a same day appointment - the Dr. was very kind and gave me answers to all my questions and I did not feel rushed at all! Our technician, Zach? And the front desk team were very kind and welcoming to me and to Tucker and Beans!

Staff provides good care but they're stuck shaking you down for payment before they do anything and NONE of the damn vet hospitals in our area accept any form of direct pay insurance plans and they won't work out any type of payment arrangement. My pet was stuck waiting over an hour with a major open cut before we found someone to help us work out the bill. They also initially tried to hit us up for $2100 worth of testing and examination but wound up charging us $500+ for simply stapling our pets cut and giving him pain meds. I've already reached out to the State to get involved and put more regulation on animal hospitals. Kind of hard to claim they about animals when the operate this way. Thank you to the staff who share my outlook and who truly care.

Great place. staff is friendly and helpful. The vets are knowledgeable and caring. Only giving three stars however due to the RX policy. They do not partner with on line pet pharmacies. They will give you a written script that you need to physically mail into Chewy, Allivet etc. I feel this should be changed. Thank you.

Lewiston Small Animal Hospital is a wonderful place. The clerical staff is friendly and accommodating. The clinical staff does an excellent job! Dr Melanie Hopkins is wonderful!

Visited Lewiston Animal Hospital with my very sick dog.To make a long story short..Dr. Schnier turned out to be a TERRIBLE vet.Misdiagnosed the issue, started talking about putting the dog down (Thank God we didn't that day), and then proceeded to prescribed medication that was WRONG and wasnt needed.Was supposed to call us in a few days with important test results and we FINALLY heard from her almost a week later.I'm asking her on the phone about the incompetence and she hangs up on me.In my opinion she's a rookie vet with a piss poor attitude.Steer clear of her, Lewiston Animal Hospital, Green Acres Animal Hospital, and any other place she's affiliated with !!!She needs to choose another career.We are so glad we didn't put our dog down that day with her suggestions.

What an incredible place. We tried for almost 24 hours to find a vet to get my sons ill dog into and finally we found Lewiston Animal Hospital, an hour drive from our home. Mackenzie was the kindest receptionist ever, finding and making an appointment for us. Alyssa at the front desk was super helpful, Jenna, the amazing tech, reassured us every step of the way and Dr Hopkins was patient and answered every question we had without making us feel rushed. Sam, Zeke and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Very caring veterinarians and staff. Appointments are available in reasonable time frames. If I have a concern, the staff listens and addresses it. I have been a client for over 20 years with multiple animals.

This was our regular vet up until this year.. we sadly will never be coming back. We went in because my poor pup wasn’t able to poop correctly and had a lump near his butt. She proceeded to do a rectal exam on a very inflamed dog, he was very uncomfortable. She then looks at me and says it’s an aggressive form of cancer and he doesn’t have long without any testing. Dr Hopkins should be ashamed of herself I immediately left knowing they didn’t have his best interest bc he is 13 years old. Went for a second opinion and not even close to the same diagnosis. Let’s just say he’s happy and healthy again not thanks to these doctors. Very disappointed..

This isn’t my normal vet because I don’t live in Lewiston, but they got me in no problem the next morning to see my dog who had an issue. Every other vet I called had 2+week waits. I remember that when I was a kid and did live nearby they could always get our pets in quickly as well. The hours are also great and they’re open late when other vets seem to close by 5. I’ll be back if I ever have an issue with my dogs again and our own vet can’t get us in. Oh and they have a board welcoming new clients which was a very cute touch I’ve never seen at any other vet!It does seem a bit more expensive than other vets, but it was expected since it’s Lewiston. And I know vet care is expensive and vets aren’t rolling in the dough it just costs what it costs to keep a business running.

My dog wasn't breathing right, I called several vets in the area, all said she should be seen asap, but they couldn't see her that day. Lewiston Animal Hospital was the only vet that was able and willing to see my dog the same day. Unfortunately, it wasn't good news, but every person we encountered here was nice, compassionate, and understanding. I will recommend this vet to everyone I know with pets, they truly are amazing people and the prices for vet care are reasonable.

This place was God’s blessing to us. We called and spoke to friendly compassionate staff who helped us make an emergency appointment. When I got there my dogs name was written on the chalkboard saying welcome! ( I can’t explain how impactful that was for us). After a very short wait we were greeted by the tech who helped to calm and assure me, followed by the doctor. They were SO EXTREMELY UNDERSTANDING AND INFORMATIVE. I WAS AN EMOTIONAL WRECK! These ladies took care of our dog and provided assistance in all that we needed. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!! Fast friendly affordable knowledge based service!!!!!!

July 2nd ‘21 was our first ever visit to LAH, they took our Nala in on an emergency basis. Even though the outcome was not what anyone would want they were very kind, compassionate and caring to the situation. Most places most likely would have taken advantage and soaked us but they did not! All the people that work there take a heartfelt and personal approach and it shined throughout our experience. From the bottom of our hearts we thank them and will be bringing our boy Jax to them from now on! Very highly recommended!

Availability and staff is awesome! My only complaint is the lack of 3 year rabies shots. A trip to the vet is very traumatizing for my cat and its frustrating that I have to bring him in yearly for a rabies shot when a 3 year is available/on the market. However, other then that yall are great and help whenever I need it ❤❤ Caring, compassionate staff. Slightly pricier than others but ability to get you in ASAP (same day within the hour when needed) is worth it.

My son went there with a very sick cat, who had to be put down a week after treatment. He told me they actually called him out of the room to get payment. He was grieving having to lose his pet and all they were concerned about was the money.

I absolutely love this office and all of its doctors. No other place other than my parents long time vet has taken care of my pets and I wouldn't trust anyone else as much as I trust these doctors. I recommend this office to any of our friends with pets if they ask and and are looking for a new vet. The absolute care, concern and professionalism is what I love the most about Lewiston.

I always board my cats Scruffy and JoJo here - they have amazing staff that treats them as one of their own. The also always have great care with check ups, and keeping them up to date with shots and food! Can't recommend them enough.
