This store is right on Taconic state Parkway. I am glad they have re-opened and have porta potty. It’s great for quick coffee, and restroom even though it’s a porta potty! They have specialty foods which give an inkling into everything NY farms have to offer. They also have grab and go food such as sandwiches, salads, fruit etc. The coffee is good. Everything here is a tad bit expensive but worth it.

A welcome change from the typical rest stop. This little shop sells all manner of snacks and beverages all made in New York. You can pick up lunch, dessert or a breakfast pastry. The almond frangipane is my weakness.Bathrooms outside, parking areas and store in handicapped accessible.

Taste NY has good coffee, good staff and nice products. Unfortunately they hold inconvenient hours. I drive past in the morning on the way to work and would really like to get a coffee…but it opens at 10an and is closed on Tuesdays. Tuesdays are a work day and work starts early for most of us. Please consider opening early and daily.

Great place to stop and stretch your legs. They have delicious ice cream, lots of local snacks like popcorn, chips, baked goods, along with an assortment of food products like crafted cheese, butter and other food products. The local sodas and kombucha were really great and they have cold brew in cans and hot coffees and hot chocolate as well. The porta potties were very clean too!!!

My greatest concern and experience at this location today 5/16/22 has to do with the public restrooms being dirty disgusting and unsanitary. The photos I will post will speak volumes. There is absolutely no excuse for this, and I was informed by the store attendant that they were not responsible for the conditions of the provided restrooms. however, they were directing people to use the restrooms in the condition they are presented.

A small and expensive boutique type store. A small, but very good coffee in an 8 ounce paper cup is $2.50. A 4 inch cherry tart at $14.50 will go untasted. A shame as it looked delicious. The only reason to stop here at present is the use of several porta potties that as of this date is the only means to relieve oneself among the crowds waiting in line.

They have a wonderful selection of local and regional crafted foods - especially pies that are fantastic (and other desserts.) Also Local artisan Cheeses, chocolate, and maple syrup from the region and many other choices too. They also offer to go sandwiches, coffee, and snacks of a higher quality for a stop right on the Taconic Parkway. The treats are handy if you're on your way to visit someone to give as a gift. Excellent place to stop and rest and get yourself a snack. Quality foods at an expected and also often pricey price.Nicely laid out with cheerful and helpful staff. They pack a lot into this petite store without it feeling chaotic or crammed.A delight and out of the ordinary for a stop right in the middle of the Taconic between the north and south lanes. Highly recommend.

Year after year this week we always go to Cairo and come home on a Tuesday. We know on Tuesday this rest area is closed, but they usually have porto potties. So we atop and notice tjat they are installing a new bathroom facility. That's great, but what about now. We stopped to ise the porto potties only to find out that they ate also locked. There was a letter stating that the Porto potties are only opened during business hours and locked at other times. What kind of rest area is this? There were a lot of pissed off people, including us. Maybe a bigger sign saying that this rest stop and Porto potties are locked up would be nice. Ridiculous!!!!!!

I won’t give this place a bad rating just because it may be of great use and convenience. However, the sign and advertisements of this place do not correspond to what is inside. This is a basic grocery store... That's it. There is no selection of alcoholic drinks. It is the “grocery taste of NY” not the “beverage taste”. They should remove the bottle from the sign :)

Not 100% sure what to make of this place. Weirdly narrow, so you can't really browse - it's like 2 serpentine lines fill the place up. Coffee bar is nice. Sandwiches looked fresh and generous for the $ - that was a pleasant surprise. Not work a stop to see it. But if you're hungry and passing by or need a coffee break . . . by all means

During COVID, they disallowed access to the indoor lavatories, citing health concerns, and installed outdoor trailers. Given the high prices at this store, which seems to sell only gourmet products, this was a questionable move. Now, 3 years post-COVID, access to their indoor lavatories continues to be off-limits. Strange, as this is the only rest stop on the Taconic with lavatories in a 100-mile span. As of 2021, the outdoor trailers have been out-of-order, and instead, a series of porta-potties remain the only option now. Nothing is more fun after spending $50 on sandwiches for kids than standing in freezing rain and mud waiting for one of these disgusting porta-potties to become available. This place needs a serious management overhaul. We've had more pleasant experiences at rest stops in third world countries than this.

Cute little store at 4640 Taconic State Parkway North, Lagrangeville, NY 12540.They sell locally made sweets and treats. You can get a cup of coffee or tea if you are or have been on a long trip. Ready made sandwiches, honey, maple syrup and my favorites are the zucchini chip bread and Sweet & Salty Palmiers.

This place is super cute! A little store off the main road as you're heading up (or down) state. All natural products ranging from yogurt shakes to zucchini bread, honey, jams, healthy snacks, truffle oils, and a ton more. The place was pretty crowded, and it's a small store, so didn't want to stay in there very long to browse more. They were actually building out bathrooms behind the store, so the only rest rooms available were the portable potties which is always pretty yucky! It will eventually be a very ideal rest stop when the bathrooms are finished. Also a cool outdoor sign with local history and info was cute there.

This is not a major service pit stop to accommodate massive crowds! However, it is sufficient enough for swift restroom needs with a rather small but unique store to purchase Upstate New York inspired products. They carry lotion balms, maple syrup, sparkling ciders (raspberry and grape), cheeses, sauces, dressings, beverages, ice cream and the special of the day meal. On this particular day the special of the day was mac and cheese, collard greens, and bbq pulled pork...all from local farms. It's a cute unexpected little pit stop to pick up a snack inspired from local farmers and gifts from nature while enjoying the ride to your upstate destination

Cute little shop. Good coffee and local baked goods and other items. Can't wait for the new bathrooms to be done. Porta potties are gross.

Lots of interesting made in NY products. Fresh coffee and even two vegan sandwiches. Love all the products and the staff is friendly. They are building bathrooms so right now they have pit toilets, but we saw them serviced.

It's literally the only food to be found on the 100 mile parkway, and they have some nice fresh local products including delicious desserts. Only portable toilets at the moment, but new restrooms are under construction. Worth a stop on your journey.

Great spot on the Taconic Parkway! Had a farmers market feel with outdoor vendors, great breads, jams, pies and wines inside. All locally made!

Lovely and quick stop for snacks, sandwiches, drinks, coffee, and local goods. Perfect place to stop for a quick host gift or souvenir! They also have beers and ciders. It's easy to get in and out from the parkway. There are currently no bathrooms but they are under construction.

Cute little shop. Bathrooms were closed/under construction when we went. It's very small/tight inside the store, but a great selection of local NY goods!

Love this place, but the bathroom situation seems to change constantly, so I would not recommend stopping here if you are in urgent need of a restroom. Often times porta-potties are available, but sometimes locked while the store is closed.

Not worth the stop. You would be happier going to big grocery store. And I hope you don't need a restroom like I did. Theirs has been out of order for a while and your only choice is using a Very discussing our house.

Small rest stop that sells New York made products such as jams, ciders, ciders, chips and other products. It's tiny so it can get crowded. They are expanding so the bathrooms are located outside.

Perfectly placed on the highway. Needed to use the bathroom. There were a few portajohns outside. It's on the left, in an area in the middle of the highway..with traffic going both ways. Picked up coffee and some snacks.
