The LaGrangeville ShopRite has gone WAY downhill under the new management this year. The store is filthy and there are many expired, and spoiled items on the shelves. In terms of freshness, you have to check everything you buy here. A few moldy berries in the produce dept. Numerous expired foods throughout the store. I found numerous expired larabars with dates of Feb 15, 2023. There were multiple baking cups with dates of Feb 13, and April 16. There were multiple condiments with dates from May. Even worse, was the multiple slices of cheese that had dates of March 27! These cheeses even had mold on them! I couldn’t believe there was months expired cheese with visible mold on the shelves in the dairy section! Worst of all was the bags of clams in the seafood dept. All 4 bags stunk, the stench was unbelievable. They reeked like dead fish. These must have been sitting out for a long time, and were definitely completely rotten. Someone could get seriously sick from this. In terms of cleanliness, the store is filthy. The front entrance where the carts are kept; the floor is filthy and there is a large amount of trash scattered all over the floor, it obviously hasn’t been cleaned in a long time. The dairy shelves are dirty where the cheese is. There is visible black mold, dirt and grime on the shelves. The floors throughout the store, particularly in the freezer aisles are not as clean as they could be. There were multiple fruit flies all over the onions in the produce dept, and onion peels scattered on the floor. The shelves throughout the store weren’t as well stocked as they used to be. Some depts were a mess. Dairy was a mess with items strewn everywhere. What is going on in this store? Under previous managers, this store was MUCH better. Now it’s filthy, messy, and understocked with many rotten, expired, and spoiled foods on the shelves. There is absolutely no care in the store whatsoever. How can the store managers be ok with their store looking like this? I understand things get missed, but this is numerous serious issues. ShopRite, please change the management here ASAP!!! Get new management who will fix this store up, because this store currently is violating health regulations in several areas, and someone is going to get sick from the spoiled/expired foods on the shelves! This used to be a great store, but it is not anymore.

Update 1/8/24. This place is awful. Out of stock on so many things.Always clean, alwayswellstock, friendly staff. The fruits and vegetables blow the other supermarkets away.

I go here all the time and have not had an issue until the last two times. I was just there at about 8:35pm (Wednesday), I went up to one of the Cashiers and her and another cashier were gossiping about something, the other cashier walked away as I was laying down my 5 items, the female cashier never greeted me which I found rude, as she was ringing up I asked if I could please have a bag, she put it on the belt to me with an attitude it seemed because I simply asked for a bag, then asks me if I have a shop rite card, I enter in my phone number and am doing all of the prompts on the screen to pay, and she doesnt even offer to bag my 4 items… is this not a thing anymore or what??? What are you getting paid for, I hate to use self checkout because I believe it puts people out of jobs, but in all honestly I feel like I might as well since I have to bag my groceries myself, and I wouldn’t have to deal with a rude person behind the counter. I also went in 2 Wednesday nights ago and had the same girl, she did greet me that time, though as I was bagging asked if I wanted help when I again had a few items and was already finished 🙄🙄. I just am frustrated because I have worked in customer service since I was 12 to 25 years old, and I would NEVER not greet a customer and not say a single word to them as they approached me. A customer shouldn’t even be asked if they “want help bagging” that should be apart of their job to do it like it always has been.

This stores quality it going down hill quickly.Produce is beaten up, the berries are moldy each week and the plastic containers are pinched and barely sealed. Every week when unloading the car, a mess is in the bags and on the other grocery from the chincy quality that this company sells

Absolutely horrible this morning.First they forget to mark down the fish which today being the sell by date.I contacted a manager and they told me they would Mark the fish down.Then they told me they have to throw it away which is a crying shame.If you were supposed to market down yesterday then why can't you mark it down at any time today.Just idiots.Then they threw away this very expensive good fish....

This location needs improvement at the deli counter or more help to do the kiosk orders. Five people working behind deli counter and NO eye contact or communication indicating my existence until I approached someone after standing for 8 minutes.

Always nice fresh foods , vegetables , fruits and lots of yummy things! I went shopping last evening because evenings are less crowded and parking is easier! At this review’s time there were pallets with unloaded stockpiles of foodstuffs, consuming lots of floor space. Bathroom and store-wide wi-fi are available.available. The cashier is friendly.

The fresh baked oatmeal cookies are incredible!! A must EVERYTIME I go there.Until recently, I’ve slept on the cinnamon buns. Too good!! Some ShopRites have a pumpkin bun which is next level “get that tail to the gym cause you gonna overeat this!!!”

If you go on the weekend, go before 10am or after 7pm. This store is busy all day. Much less hassle and lines if you go early or late.

I travel up to NY every year and this is the only market in the area, This was the only reason I go there.Prices? Omg so expensive and the place is always packed but things you just deal with.The thing I will NOT deal with is the fact that I end up throwing half my food out. First time this year and I grabbed some ham, kid cut it wrong after explaining to him THIN!!! I don’t want ham steaks!! Then to get home and having it taste bad. Right in the trash.So then I grabbed some cup cakes, expired, by 2 weeks!!! Sodas are either flat or taste like they’re 100 years old..I would stay away if poss but if not then double check everything!!!I will not shop the store again!!!

Always a pleasant experience. Prices are great, produce is fresh, management is always around overseeing and making sure things are on point. Building is clean, parking lot is tidy, even the landscaping in season is lovely. Associates in the various departments are knowledgeable and always happy to assist you. Not to be overlooked are the cashiers who are the NICEST bunch you'll find. Helpful, courteous, pleasant - what more could you ask for? This grocery store is the whole package. Even if I didn't live close by, I'd make the trip - they're that good.

Love my ShopRite!!! Staff has always been courteous and helpful. Prices decent. Great sales. Clean and organized store. Some people feel this location doesn't have as many items as other locations. One suggestion: stronger paper bags. One stronger ply is better then doubling bags together for me.

I love this ShopRite! I have been going to it ever since they opened two years ago. ShopRite has the lowest grocery prices around. Watch your flyer in the mail because it always has extra coupons that the store flyers don't have. You can always get lots of discounted and great items in the store. The staff is always extremely nice and helpful in every Department! The store is also kept very clean!

I absolutely love this store! The produce in the front is beautifully displayed, the lighting is great, and the flooring! All around the decor is super.On top of that, the employees are wonderful and always smiling. They are very helpful and try and help in a timely and courteous manner. Much love for this store!

I like this ShopRite, it’s clean, very clean organized, the Customer Service is good, no complaints but the Deli Dept & Front End great, the other Depts are good as well, can’t leave them out. The store is stocked and you don’t have to much of OUT OF STOCK or RAIN CHECKS. Usually everything is there :) Come by anytime they will welcome you with Kindness and respect.

Helpful staff and courteous cashiers. A bit smaller but actually enjoyable if you don't want to be crowded. Store is a little cockeyed to navigate but once you go through it you remember for next time. Always plenty of parking and carts available.

Love this store. Before it changed to Shoprite, I never shopped at the previous store. Now I shop here all the time. Well stocked. Bakery has many tasty choices. Nice grocery store only about 3 or 4 miles from my sons house.

I ordered from curbside pick up using the ShopRite app. I live in Poughkeepsie 20 minutes away. I get home 13+ items were missing that I ordered and charged to my credit card. I called and the person at shop at home center said they were busy that its why it happened🙄. I had to drive all the way back and shop with the manager whom was very nice. If you are going too do curbside pick up so not do it from this location .

This is a clean store with a lot of options. There is a dedicated gluten free and allergy conscious aisle. Many different options for everyone. Also you do not need quarters for the carts.

Nice redone ShopRite. It is kept very clean. The place looks brand new and they have very friendly helpful employees. I love shopping in this ShopRite and I am very glad we decided to visit this location on the way home. We will definitely be coming back here again! ShopRite is one of our favorite super markets no matter which location we go and visit.

My family and I started going here after our local Hannafords changed companies. The prices are great and the organic options are vast and plentiful. We're very happy to see organic items go on sale as well.We enjoy the store so much, we've been suggesting others to come and shop here as well.
