I've been a customer for more than a decade. The staff are are very knowledgeable about their specific area(s). The prices are good, and every now and then you can find an incredible deal. I have a few reptiles and amphibians, and now, we're starting to get into fish. I wouldn't shop anywhere else but Clearwater Aquarium for my needs. I feel comfortable knowing that if any problems arise, (eg., sick animal), the staff will help me out with no problems.

One of the best pet stores I have ever been to! The staff was very willing to answer our questions, and were very nice! Very large variety of both Fresh and Salt water fish. Also had a large number of tanks for sale, which I rarely seen in pet stores. Amazing place!

Horrible. When we went there were 2 of their kids running around crazy. Then when we got to the turtles all had shell rot. The lady dropped one. And the one we bought was the worst. Our vet said it's the worst they have seen. They do not take care of their turtles and the turtle we go has bite marks from the others. Not clean and they don't take care of their animals. What a crappy way to have them.

There is a manager there with purple hair and she was beyond rude. There was another nice lady that bagged our fish for us and she told us that the fish were a certain price and then the lady with the purple hair said that it was more than triple the price they had it marked for. I have dealt with fish for all of my life and most of the fish are sick with ick. Also, they don't even know the fish that are there, they have to search on Google. On top of that, I purchased a trade in fish, which was a leaf fish, and the women with the purple hair wanted to be a jerk and jack up the price for no reason. I would not recommend this place to no one. If you want nice fish, go to the fish place in North townawanda.

We recently purchased a chinchilla and a cage for it. Spent alot of money. Had the animal home for 1 day and it got sick. Called the vet and ended up taking it there to be treated for pneumonia. The vet couldn't say whether it got sick there or at our house, but was sick the next day which leads me to believe it was getting sick before leaving the pet store. The owner told me to go to a Dr. Swanson and not the vet that i took it too. Have no idea who he is so i used the Jamestown Vet Hospital. The bill was over 250$ and they wanted to only give me 100$. Their customer service is not the best not sure if I would buy another pet there again.

We had bought some fish there about two weeks ago and we brought them home. The fish that we had now are all sick with ick and the fish that we had bought have it too and are dying. Seems like every time when you go there to get fish they have tanks that are on hold or just full of some disease. This is all the time occurrence when we bring home fish from there, that they bring ick with them and infect the whole tank. Never had that problem at PetSmart or Petco.

I was real disappointed I went there for years and got fish and tank stuff. Stopped in to look at 75 gallon tanks and stand and stuff to get it up and running. One girl asked if she could help but wasn't any help went into the main room to see if the other person could help and they never even said hi. They lost a large sale. Makes me wonder how long they can stay in business.

I got my chameleon from there, and he was housed in a completely wrong cage for him. He was in a horizontal cage with a red heating light, a heating pad, and a jackson chameleon. Chameleons are very antisocial, so even seeing another one from across the other room stresses them out. He had light MBD because they gave him no UVB light. Clearwater only cares about profit. They use calicum sand with their beardies, loose substrate with reptiles, they dont coat their crickets with calcium, and they didnt react at all when we witnessed an iguana suffocating another. Theyve had geckos vomit up loose substrate from impaction, and they shrug it off. Their rodents are cramped in together as well, and their fish arent organised or taken care of properly. Every time I am there, I see at least 12 dead fish floating in tanks. Their workers never ask if you need help, and they know absolutely nothing about the animals they have for sale. They'll push you to buy unnecessary items just to make an extra buck, regardless of if the animal actually needs it or not. Our local petsmart has employees that actually know what theyre talking about, and the prices overall are much better.

Outstanding business who's employees have integrity and Honesty ! Left my Change there and they promptly held it for me. Also the only place with bulk food my rabbit will eat. It was his home.

Nice looking place. They sell African Clawed Frogs and Dwarf Frogs. I bought an Dwarf frog to be housed with one I bought from Petco in Erie 5 months ago. The new frog died one week later from, I believe, chytrid. I should have used a quarantine tank. I was lucky until now. It might be a good idea to tell people to use quarantine tanks for ADF considering chytrid is killing of whole species of frogs the world over.

clear water is a better place to go to..i have gotten fish and other pets from petsmart get them home and they have died and they said they couldnt do anything for us cuz we didnt have the dead animal ...um im sry im not going to carry around a dead animal ...so im sticking to clear water. the people there are also friendly and help animals out the best way they can ...a few year back my dog found a baby wood chuck in the yard...it shouldnt have been away from its mother..i called vets..animal control..adobond and no one could help me they just told me to put it back outside and let nature take its place so my last resort was i called clear water to see if they knew anyone who could help me..there very nice lady from clear water came to my house and picked it up..she takes in hurt or abandon wild life animals and helps them get better or whatever they need she also gets them ready for there life back out in the wild ...she kept in touch with me every week for month till it was time to release him back to the wild...all i have to say is amazing!!!

I really hope they find a new location because they are our fav pet shop. We've never gotten a sick fish and the associates really know theyre stuff, and they really care about theyre animals.

Absolutely love Clearwater. We do all our business here for our saltwater tank and all of our freshwater tanks. Staff are amazing.

I go to Clearwater alot bought quite a few pets from babies to second hand pets that just need a good home and the staff is always knowledgeable about all the pets I look forward to purchasing more pets from them

Great place, knowledgable people. The only thing I dont like about the place is there customer service. I mean when your there the workers are great, but if you call and ask them for something, be prepared to wait.
