CVS is now implementing and mandating self-check-out and associates have been told to not use registers to check out. If it had not been for Richard, who was willing to check me out on a register, using cash, I would have left the store without my products. Richard, as always, the consummate professional patiently explained to other customers having trouble with self-checkout, and others waiting in line, apologized for the wait time, the delay in service, etc. He explained the new mandated self-checkout ONLY policy while checking me out at the register. How he managed to pleasantly explain the policy, while appeasing disgruntled customers with his sincere apologies took a lot of grace and patience. He was also the sole associate in the front of the store. CVS once known for its exceptional customer care, stocked shelves, clear aisles, welcoming and caring associates has deteriorated beyond recognition. As a faithful and generally satisfied customer for over 15 years, and my mother 15 years before that, I am deeply disappointed and am now faced with the decision to find another pharmacy that I can access on foot.

The worst CVS around. Nothing but idiots that don't know how, or don't want to do, their job! I advise you to take your business anywhere else. I'm obviously not the only one that thinks this way with weather 2 star rating.

I stopped at the drive threw pharmacy and after waiting 20 minutes with no help I press the call button and get finally get yelled at saying be with you when we can and hangs up instantly. The window was ajar so I opened it and asked calmly for an eta as I’ve been waiting 20 minutes. The pharmacy tech yelled at me and using profanity saying they said they would get to me when they can. Then the supervisor come to the window and slammed it shut ignoring anything I had to say. I continued to press a call button until he returned and I asked for a supervisor. He said that’s me. I tried to ask about why the customer service is not so good and I’m being yelled at for asking a simple question after calmly waiting already for 20 minutes. He ignored me completely asking my name and date of birth and was the most rude person I’ve ever encountered. Corporate really needs to visit this store and train these employees how to prioritize customers and rotate desk and drive through if you are short handed or to at least communicate in a proper manner to the customer. Hostility never is the best option and have never been treated with so much disrespect especially for a pharmacy.

I don't frequently post negative reviews, but after patronizing this CVS for a couple years, I can easily say it's the worst experience I've had anywhere. I do not recommend this location, or any other CVS, as they chronically understaff anyway, causing undue stress to their employees.Oftentimes, my prescriptions won't process, and no one answers the phone due to strain. Staff range from poorly trained but polite to extremely rude, again because of horrible corporate decisions and poor management. For those with limited mobility, the parking lot is frequently a mess, including dangerous potholes that are left open for months.

Unable to fill basic prescriptions requested multiple weeks in advance that other pharmacies were able to fill in minutes. Poor customer service that wasn’t transparent in the slightest.

Unbelievably rude male blonde pharmacist. Spoke over us, accused us of asking him to break the law, and didn’t offer to help us or explain things without steam rolling our questions when we tried to fill a RX for our 8 year old. I was stunned and watched this behavior with all of the people in front of me. I immediately called my doctor to change my pharmacy to avoid feeling like this again when I have questions.

CVS has to be the most frustrating pharmacy that I have ever used. More than 50% of the time they get the date to refill wrong, the times quoted are always unrealistic and they can't seem to grasp my change in insurance so I have the exact same conversation every month. If it wasn't such a convenient location (one block away from my home) I would have switched years ago. The employees are a mixed bag as well---- almost never do they look happy (idc but if you want to work in customer service they should be trained to AT THE VERY LEAST smile at your customer's. While having said that, I understand that they are always short staffed (on purpose to save $$$, or just can't get any applications??? I'd believe either/or), ppl are thrown into positions that they clearly haven't been trained for and JFC if the prices were any higher it could be considered illegal or price gouging. Almost $7 for a small bottle of ranch dressing? $6 for a gallon of milk and almost $7 for coffee creamer......ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS AND PROOF THAT THEIR BUSINESS PLAN IS GREED, GREED AND MORE GREED. While paying the few employees who remain minimum wage or maybe .25 over minimum. Not cool CVS. NOT COOL, LOOK OUT FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS BEFORE YOU HAVE NONE!!@!

I am new to the area and needed a prescription filled for the first time here. CVS was so fast in filling my Rx (August 2023). I also noticed how helpful and conscientious the pharmacist was with the few folks in front of me. I could hear him going above and beyond for one family, and knew another gentleman so well that he knew him by name. I waited in line for only a few minutes, and they actually apologized for the wait. It was barely a 4 minute wait! I was pleased with the customer service, cleanliness, professionalism, and thoughtfulness.

I will never step into CVS again. Was behind in my medicine because of a missed shipment. Had my doctor, who was having a much needed Labor Day vacation call in a prescription for only 5 pills so I could get by until my meds arrived. Pharmacist refused to give me the prescription, saying the doctor didn’t give enough info. And that he was too busy to deal with it. Have her call me back he said. She was out on a boat with her family. She called in the same prescription to Kenny Drugs, in the same way the next day. I had no problem getting it. Of course I had 24 hours of nausea without my meds.

My provider called something in short supply for me today (Sunday)—a prescription critical for me to be able to enjoy my vacation time here in Ithaca. It was initially sent through the wrong insurance and not covered but they updated the info in the system for me and after a brief wait while it was refilled had it filled and totally taken care of. They were short staffed and the three people visibly on were working well as a team together! I was so relieved to be able to pick something up to relieve my symptoms promptly! THANK YOU PHARMACY TEAM!

Jon the pharmacist and his team are nothing short of amazing. Jon was thorough when discussing the details of my medication and spent adequate time explaining things to me even at an extremely busy time of day. Preparation was fast and pick up was a breeze. I will definitely use this pharmacy again!

This CVS is a mixed bag, but any negatives I have are not the employees or this specific location. I went to this CVS for years and loved it. It's conveniently located, clean, and has a nice selection of products. The employees are nice and the pharmacy lines are never too long. I have a lot of prescriptions to pick up and never had an issue. But somewhere around 2021, CVS's prescription system changed. Wait times for filling prescriptions became noticeably longer, from a few hours previously to days. Sometimes my prescriptions would go on hold for no known reason and I'd have to call to get them back on track. It was disappointing and frustrating. But again, it has solely to do with their system. I enjoy the store itself and previously had a 5-star experience.

I called and asked them to transfer a prescription, half an hour before they closed. They didn't want to deal with it, so they lied to me and told me that the pharmacy I needed the prescription transferred from was closed. So I proceeded to said pharmacy and paid for the prescription, instead of having it sent to CVS. CVS is dead, and their employees are the reason why.

Pharmacy staff do not help in person, do not answer the phone, delay monthly prescriptions (1 week delay on migraine meds). Not acceptable.

I'm giving it four stars because the driveway should get fixed, it's a big dip as you enter through and it can damage your car. Besides that, the store and pharmacy has great employees. Never had issues here, easy to pick up prescriptions.

While the employees are polite and friendly, CVS can't seem to keep enough pharmacists at this site to fill prescriptions in a timely manner. I think the job is so stressful here that they quit. Corporate should make improving this store a priority!

Absolutely the worst. They are far past their capacity behind there pharmacy counter. It has stretched the employees and now they are very difficult to work with. Rude and impatient. Only use this pharmacy if you absolutely have to.

The folks here are so nice. I don't have experience with the pharmacy so I can't speak to that part. But the people at the checkout are always terrific. It's been this way for years - I've often remarked what a friendly place this CVS is. When I got my vaccine recently I learned two of their names: Kimberly and Sarah. People like them really make you feel like you're at a friendly neighborhood store - they greet you warmly and are happy to help you with whatever you need. I really appreciate them and pretty much everyone at this CVS.

They’ve really gone above and beyond lately, as opposed to in the past when I actually Dreaded going in, but as of recently, it’s been nothing but a pleasurable experience

Shopped for last minute Christmas gifts today only to abandon my cart when the cashier told me to use the self check out or wait for him to finish what he was doing. . He was putting candy on the shelves in front of the registers and I asked him how long he would be. About 15 minutes. I then asked him, do you really want me to wait while you finish stocking before you can ring me out? He said it was company policy. I refuse to ring out my purchases by myself, I left my full cart and went to Walgreens and spent my $100 there.

Honestly one of the worst — if not THE WORST — pharmacy I’ve ever had to deal with. I came here for college and this one was the closest. Multiple times I have called ahead before going to the store asking if they can have my order ready by a set amount of time, and the guy tells me yes, gets my name down, tells me how long and when I get there they say they didn’t get any record of that. I had called an hour earlier just to make sure it was ready.A terrible, terrible pharmacy with inexperienced staff. Once the cashier had me wait half an hour until one of the pharmacy technicians realized my medicine had been ready the whole time in front of them in their baskets. How can you not keep track of federal/prescribed drugs? Is the pharmacy in shambles? I think so

Too many mistakes in the prescriptions. One pharmacist could have killed my elderly mother when he/she doubled the mg of her blood pressure med. We didn't realize for the first few weeks until her BP dropped to 95/35! THIRTY FIVE!!! I compared the med to her regular Rx and the math was way off. The pharmacist insisted the way he/she did it was correct, but even doctors and nurses told me it was WRONG. He/she needs to relearn math. I will report this person before he/she kills someone!

While I've never had a bad interaction with the pharmacists, this CVS takes much longer than is normal to actually fill prescriptions, on avg 5 days. Pretty inconvenient for a person needing meds o.O

Great customer service, no significant issues except for an unfortunate drug shortage (which isn't their fault, but the manufacturer's). Far better service and fill times than their competitor down the road. My husband and I have been regular CVS customers for years and we'll keep coming back!

Pharmacy is incompetent. They can’t figure out simple billing, and are frequently rude and give me mean looks, and loudly shouted out one of prescriptions which was very personal. They also refused to provide medical equipment which the location within target has no problem providing.I highly recommend folks go to the target CVS, where the staff are lovely and know what they are doing, and I never get weird looks and snide comments about my medications

Drove 30 minutes into town to pick up prescriptions tonight and when I got there they had closed (8:04 pm). I told the pharmacist that the website said they were open until 9:00 pm. The pharmacist rudely said, "Take it up with corporate; I've got to go." She put her keys in her bag, and walked out the back door! The cashier said they changed their hours in January, but the website still had the old hours. If you have the choice, take your prescriptions to Wegmans instead. The pharmacy there treat people nicely!

WILL NOT GIVE YOU A COVID TEST IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A CAR. Employee was rude and inconsiderate, and suggested I go to urgent care (which I would prefer not to - small building, close quarters, higher risk of getting covid from a testing environment). Drive through covid testing was empty when I got there, and I was able to keep very safe distance from employees, but they still refused me in the chance that I could get hit by a car. Extremely unfortunate that I may have to actually rent a car to get a covid test. Owning a car should not be required to get medical services...

Abysmal customer service in the pharmacy from the substitute pharmacist. This after making two trips to the store ( both times being handed incorrect prescriptions) and speaking to pharmacists twice on the phone. I’m switching pharmacies. I don’t need to do business with a store that doesn’t have any consideration for me or my time.
