Very helpful recommendations, everything looked so good I wanted to get it all. Decided on a milkshake and it was to die for. I went for the strawberry shortcake and my friend got the Oreo milkshake. He said his was amazing as well. Would recommend 5/5. Didn’t disappoint. Anytime I’m in horseheads in the future i will be sure to make a pit stop here.

I've been a huge fan of Italian ice since my earliest childhood growing up in Queens. I moved upstate recently and discovered Rita's, and I'm so happy to say what while the flavour selection is far more limited than what I'm used to, the product is top quality, can't be beat.Absolutely delicious ice, the custard is incredible, and the flavours they do offer are rich and satisfying.The staff is funny, helpful, and friendly. The store is super clean, with limited seating, and there's ample parking.Their prices are extremely reasonable, which is really nice in a time when everything's more expensive than it's ever been before and consumers are being gouged left and right from greedy companies. Rita's is an inexpensive way to treat yourself.I'll be back often.

I never seem to get there before the good flavors are gone. I love the RootBeer and I got there this time just in time to see the last order sold. But they have good customer service and the custard is always tasty. Hopefully soon I will be able to get the flavors we like.Parking: Approximately 15 or so spots to park. Sometimes it takes a few minutes to find a spot but slways worth the wait

What I love about Rita's is that its different from your original ice cream parlor. You can call them the "flavored shaved ice queen". So many great flavors and custard combos that you could never get board with it.

The service was excellent but the frozen "custard" was not very good and the waffle dish tasted bad. The "custard" seemed more like cheap soft serve ice cream mixed with marshmallow fluff. It didn't melt and stayed very thick all the way to the end. What in the world is it made of? Never eaten anything like it. You can get much better custard at Freddy's or Culver's.

Came here for the first time after dinner with my boyfriend a few days ago. I got frozen custard and my boyfriend got the Swedish fish ice. I tried his and it was very good and I wish I got that instead of the custard but the custard was still good. The girls who worked there were very nice and were very patient with me when I asked a bunch of questions because I've never been here before😅

Delicious and the service is always good. I love to get the Gelati (a dish that layers creamy custard in between two layers of Italian Ice. There are tons of different ice flavors to choose from and they're frequently updated making every visit a new and exciting treat.This is my family's favorite spot during the summer months, and if you get the take-home party Ice pack you can bring enough Italian Ice for birthday parties or special events. Just make sure you leave plenty of time to thaw it out if you'll be freezing it before the big day.

Stopped for a treat and had a small custard and a Blendini custard and Italian ice combo. Both were very good!!! A bit on the pricey side, but we don't go very often. Friendly staff and an out of the way location. Looking forward to our next visit! Stop in! You won't be disappointed!!!

We love Rita's! The staff are always accommodating and helpful. They offer a great variety of flavors and options. The kids are always begging to make a stop! The facility is small, but clean and well lit. This is one of our favorite places to get a treat!

Stopped by this Rita's Italian Ice during a recent trip. I was looking for the local Dunkin Donuts and found Rita's! 🍦🍨🥨 I have to say this one is a lot nicer than the one in Rochester, NY! Friendlier staff, more selection, cleaner and OMG the prices are SO Much Cheaper!! I bought a Medium peanut butter sundae and a soft serve pretzel. My total was just over $7.50! The sundae was amazing 🤩. Highly recommend this Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard! 🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦

Not much selection compared to other Rita's locations. The Italian ice was partially melted in the freezer and didn't look very appetizing, so we got soft serve frozen custard, which was just okay. Flavor choices were chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. No regular frozen custard at all. The two high school girls working there were very "fake nice". One of them asked my daughter a question about what she wanted - I heard her say something but couldn't hear what she said. My daughter didn't hear her at all - she was standing in front of the humming soft serve machine and was speaking quietly. I told my daughter that the girl asked her something and, when I turned back to the girl, I caught her making a face at her coworker because we hadn't heard her and she had to repeat her question. Overall, not the experience you usually have at Rita's, will not go back to the Horseheads, NY location - selection is not great, product was below standard, and if I want a 16 yo teenager to roll her eyes because she thinks we're all just stupid, I can stop by any high school.

Rita's has both flavored ices and soft serve custards, some flavors change weekly. I love their gelati (gelato?) with layers of ice between custard. The chocolate custard is so smooth and rich. They give large portions.

Love Rita's! I stop by there after work over the summer and the girls are always so pleasant! The misto shake with coconut cream ice mixed with coffee custard is my absolute favorite!

I do not know how this place could be rated anything but 5 stars! Very fair prices and it’s DELICIOUS! All kinds of awesome flavors too chose from, and the staff is old school friendly! The owners are AWESOME people too! Give this place your business they deserve it!

There's really no other place like Rita's! They have the best frozen treats. Try the Carmel Apple Concrete, real pieces of apple, and just the right amount of carmel.

Great Ice and custard. I usually do a gelati and I love it. I guess their sundaes and shakes are great as well but I really like the ice so I haven't tried one my self.Last year it was a little weird with COVID but it's better now.

The custard is so delicious! Smooth and creamy. We ordered a doggie sized custard and the nice young girl behind the counter oftered to put peanut butter sauce on it! Our pup loved it!

Great custard, bad customer service. I went there 10 minutes before close (I didn't realize they closed at 9) and the one girl kept giving me dirty looks. She messed up my gelati, there was no custard on the bottom and I asked for sprinkles, no sprinkles. I know you want to get out on time but there's no need to be rude. I know everyone makes mistakes but this isn't the first time. Every time I go there, its later in the evening. They care more about getting out on time than serving customers.
