Hilton veterinary hospital SAVED my dog Mia’s life. I called the hospital late one evening with some concerns. The staff asked that we come in that night for a blood test to make sure it was nothing serious. The bloodwork came back extremely critical and Dr. Jackie Walker initiated emergency protocols. Our dog is here with us today because of Dr. Walker and the staff working that evening. Hilton was also equipped with the medications that saved my dog. Of note we have since learned that not all veterinarian hospitals have this drug on hand, we are beyond grateful they did. Every time we visit all staff members are friendly, patient, and empathetic. We drive 45 mins to this practice as the level of care at Hilton is unmatched. Prices are reasonable and fair also. My family has been going to this practice for 30+ years and will continue to do so.

Been here in the past and the amount they charge is insane. Last night, our neighbors dog suffered life-threatening injuries which quite literally required immediate medical attention. From what we see, they're open til 8pm on a Monday. Our neighbor ran over to the office letting them know that they needed help (that's how close we are) and was told that since the dog was not their patient, they wouldn't do anything. Never experienced that with a veterinarian in my life. The injured dog was rushed to the new 24 hour emergency vet all the way out in Rochester and unfortunately, this morning, passed away. Good to know we can count on the vet in Hilton to help during a critical emergency. Absolutely unreal.

i’m coming on here to write a review for Dr.Walker. I have been bringing my male shepherd to Hilton since I got him. For the past few months, we’ve seen different doctors there and been to different vets who have said different things about a limp that he’s had in his back leg. I knew of her because I had seen her once when he was a puppy, and wanted to see her again since the other doctor we were seeing retired. I had been given the runaround on multiple different things that could be causing the limp. I took him in there this past week, and she immediately identified what the problem could be, and was able to do a chiropractic adjustment. Since the visit I have noticed a significant difference in his leg, and I am amazed at the knowledge and skill she had to help him. I just think other people should know how pleased I am with Hilton Vet and specifically Dr. Walker.

Hilton veterinary hospital , I would like to recommend as I have recently become a patient there .I was forced to find a different vet as my previous vet kicked me out of practice with no reason as they were randomly picking from a lottery to get rid of patients.How ever this was by far a great experience and they basically saved my 13 yr Olds life by detecting a heart murmur and irregular heartbeat.I was shocked because I always took my Dogs to old vet and they never said anything.On my first visit they heard it investigated it and treated .I have three dogs and I thought where am I going they welcomed my three babies and treated them with great care . We initially had a wonderful experience at this practice with a very kind doctor who was thorough in his examination, explained the necessary course of care, and provided an estimate for services. Sadly, he retired shortly after we took our cat there. We went back, assuming we would get a similar experience, and it was anything but. The doctor we saw recommended bloodwork, which he never provided an estimate for. I went to pay at the desk and the cost for the lab work alone was nearly $200. The course of treatment he prescribed was ineffective, so we needed to return for additional medication. If the medication were called into a pharmacy, I would've paid around $10-12 for it with a GoodRx card. Instead, they charged my spouse $55 and then refused to take the medication back once it was purchased. We will never be returning to this practice again. Clearly, their main concern is profit.RESPONSE: It is understandable that costs have increased within veterinary medicine. As a clinician, I find it irresponsible to assume people can afford nearly $200 for labs *without* at least discussing the cost and/or providing an estimate. Additionally, the cost of prednisone, even at market cost, is less than $55.

We are American Bully breeders, that travel from out from Syracuse (2hr.) to this location. Any amount of travel is worth it, to see the reproductive team of specialists at Hilton. I’ve been treated like family, never a new client. We’ve had successful progesterone testing, pregnancy, ultrasound, reverse PG, c-section and postnatal care for all 7 pups born here. The staff put us in a private room after surgery and walked us through nursing pups w/mom for as long as we needed. They were so patient & kind. I called several times after the pups were born with questions- they answered every time or called me back within an hour. When I needed to be seen with a 5 day old puppy for a concern, they walked me through how to travel with my litter and squeezed me into the schedule immediately that day. Dr. B & his team have knowledge that you can’t find even at your regular trusted veterinary office. Even when I was squeezed in, he still took his time to be friendly and thorough and never rushed us.

Check your meds and make sure they are safe for your dog. Dr Mitchell prescribed my diabetic dog the wrong medication that caused her to go into heart failure which led to me having to put her down. Get a second opinion when receiving medication for treatment. My dog would still be here if she didnt take the medication Dr Mitchell prescribed.Dr Cacia on the other hand is the most wonderful vet in the place. If you only see him you'll be fine. Don't settle for another vet because he's not available. Wish he was at a smaller practice.Dr Mitchell ruined Hilton Vet for me. Hilton Vet was great until it wasn't. She gave me the worst day of my life.This vet is overpriced and honestly I feel they are getting too busy and unable to provide the right kind of care. I recommend going to a smaller practice.

I recently visited Hilton Veterinary Hospital for the first time with my beloved furry companion. The staff at the check-in/out desk were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Upon my arrival, I was given a form to fill out, and within no time, I was called into the examination room.It was great to see Jackie (Walker) again, as she had previously cared for my ferrets. She is a fantastic veterinarian who listens to her patients, conducts thorough examinations, and communicates well. Moreover, she is a wonderful person.When my ferret was taken away for some tests, I could hear the techs and vets talking positively about the work they were doing. It was refreshing to hear, as many places tend to have complaints and negativity.I am grateful to have found Hilton Veterinary Hospital, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality pet care.

Brought my kitten here for her first vet appointment, vaccines, and to get spayed. I’m very pleased with how things have gone. She was well cared for and her spay surgery was easy going. She has been recovering without any sign of pain or discomfort. It was a bit pricey but ultimately worth it for the quality of care she received.

I have always been pleased with this vet office until I met with Dr.Mitchell. she barely touched or gave my cats a physical exam. She took their history I had told her about being found in a garage and ran with it. I had paid for 2 separate office appts, 2 different eye meds and 2 runs of antibiotics. Come to find out, I was treating my cats for entropian, which can't be fixed without surgery, and an eye that was literally dead. I paid a lot of money to treat my pets that's didn't need treatment, they need surgical repair,. One vet took one look at them, by physical exam, and knew right away, fixed the problem, and no issues since. I was told this could be seen the moment you took a look at my cats. Will never recommend or see her again. She doesn't take the time to exam your pet, just assumed and recommends meds to get more money out of me and for the practice.

Few weeks ago my dog got stung and had a severe allergic reaction. Within the 10 minutes that passed by I didn't think the odds were going to be good .I drove her there and they rushed her in and were able to save her life .Very special thanks to the doctors and staff that stood by her side giving her oxygen. As far as the bill it was more than fair also. If any of you happened to be there that day sorry if we delayed your visit

Ive neen taking my cat there for none or ten years for wellness exqms every one was good no problems the last one i get her home and she coughing i called when a spot opened they took her in gave her some meds and awy we went it started agin took her back she had exrays now she has a lump in her cheat the size of a gold ball. Why take a cat or dogfor wellnessxam when they find nothing they spend fifteen minutes if your lucky ask no queations and way you go theres a cat only vet that takes netter care of your pet this place has alot of one star dont now how they sty in business

The excellent team of veterinarians, techs and support staff have cared for my family’s dogs and cats for over 25 years. They are amazing people who truly care about animals. Drs. Bostley, Cacia, Lenhard, Walker, and every vet in the practice has taken care of my animals st one time or another and they are all compassionate and extremely hard-working. Every issue from ear infections, bowel obstructions, anal gland infection, cancerous tumors, torn ACL, heart failure, cataracts, pancreatitis, allergic reactions, surgeries…they have handled so expertly and thoughtfully, and when the inevitable time came for two of our dogs to cross over, they did their very best to ease us through our very painful goodbyes with sensitivity and professionalism. No matter how busy and overworked they are (and they usually are) they take the time needed with you and your pet to help them live their very best, healthiest lives.
