I've been going here on and off for years and have had maybe 2 pleasant experiences. This last time I was attempting to get a flu shot. Waited around with my toddler 30 minutes before being told I'd have to call my insurance because it wasn't active. I've worked in a pharmacy for 5 years. I know the techs can make insurance calls, I also know they can search your insurance for you to find the correct number. But, I humored them. I called my insurance and they said I indeed had active coverage. My husband called Rite Aid for me, and the rude woman said she talked to us last week and explained exactly what she said the previous week, despite him telling her my insurance is active. She said I'd need to come in to rerun it. I decided not to waste my time, I went to hannaford and had no issue with my insurance and was able to get my flu shot.

It is no surprise Rite Aid is going bankrupt. The customer service at this place is poor on its best day. Go to CVS, they are much better.

I’ve never had a problem going here for years.. especially the pharmacy. Everyone I’ve come across is really nice. The pharmacist takes time to explain any questions if your confused, and isn’t rude about it :)

Went to the pharmacy at 6 pm tonight the sign on the door and the website both said open until 8pm and they were already closed. Was trying to pick up a friends prescriptions being he just had all his teeth removed and they were closed so he had to suffer all because they cant stay open for their regular hours. The last time they never filled his prescription so needless to say he will be going elsewhere from now on.

Pharmacy staff James dismissive, condescending and unprofessional to customers. Unhelpful short and flustered went speaking customers and walked away leaving customer standing at counter with cashier and no positive resolution. He needs retraining and I felt uncomfortable continuing with my prescriptions here and have since changed pharmacies and no longer frequent here. My recommendation is that you chose another pharmacy more attentive to all varieties of customers without unprofessional rants and unpleasant interactions. Visit was total disappointment. Never again 😞.

I have had hiccups with my medicines here but the store is usually very busy. It's in a prime location that's easy to walk to. I like this store overall. Theyve been my pharmacy over a year.

They don't even deserve a 1 star but to write a review ya gotta give them something. I've had nothing but negative experiences here lately! They say a script is ready and it never is! Your in line forever waiting for them to do their job, which they can't ever seem to do correctly or within decent timing. I could go on but instead I'll just say don't go there, or find a new pharmacy because they are absolutely horrible!

Left Rite Aid in Gloversville today. Have had several negative experiences there lately. Staff is not friendly AT ALL!! Had a situation in April that I was discussing with the tech while the Pharmacist, Lisa, stood there and completely ignored me. She never offered to help or apologize and SHE was the reason there was an issue. Countless times we have gone to pick up scripts (after we are already there) and are told they do NOT have the meds in stock. That it will be in NEXT WEEK. My son cannot go a week without his medication. This is UNACCEPTABLE. Will never go back as long as the current staff is still there. Very rude and unpunprofessional.

Pharmacy is always lost. They send you a text message saying prescriptions are ready but when you arrive they can’t find them. They also don’t put multiple prescriptions together either. So when you pick up your Meds you need to make sure all of your medications are there or else you leave without them

Had to drive 60 miles to pick up a prescription for my son (shipping problem to my local area, not Rite Aid's fault). Upon arrival I learned that the store opens at 8am but the pharmacy portion doesn't open until 9. It would have been nice to see that on the website/Google hours info. When I went to pick the prescription up, they told me it wasn't covered by Medicaid(which is a secondary insurance, my son is autistic). The other 4 places I've picked it up from have not said this, it was covered, no issues. They charged me $70. I notified my son's mother, she called, and had it explained to her that I was supposed to mention something in regards to his Medicaid(despite them telling me specifically that it wasn't covered) and then they could put it through. So, basically, they charged me because I didn't say the secret word like a hotel safe fee or a tourist tax that you have to ask to have removed. Then I had to drive back there to get recredited because they couldn't possibly just recredit an account here in the digital age, there had to be a signature. I couldn't help but feel like I got jerked around.

Just at the pharmacy and the staff is always so patient with me, I wasn’t feeling well and they filled my prescription fast and were so nice, sorry I was so impatient

They gave my son the wrong amount of zohran, was supposed to be 2 1/2mL with 5 doses, I called they said “bring it in we will fix it someone measured it wrong.” I go in, they act like I’m trying to scam them for zohran then give me 1 extra mL. So thanks for 5 mL when you messed up for first order with only 4 mL then only give me 1/2 of the prescription. Impressive you passed college to be a pharmacist.
