A service leader this morning at the South Glens Falls Hannaford ran outside to give my children and I a long winded, unprompted and condescending lecture about how we could only return $12 worth of bottled and cans (we know, there's a sign), all lids need to be removed (no sign) and we can't put anything dirty in. She then looked at our clean water bottles with disgust. They have also been extremely rude on visits where I've attempted to use WIC benefits, something probably most people with young children, the employees there included, qualify for in this area. Their manager needs to be re-educated on basic human courtesy or simply fired if they lack the talent to train basic human decency to others.

Now that I am getting used to the lay out it is getting a little easier to navigate thru the store. NEAT & TIDY. CASHIERS & ASSOCIATES ARE USUALLY FRIENDLY 😊🤔👍👌

It's getting expensive, wanted some chips but wasn't going to pay $3 for a bag of air. It's one of the nicer stores in the area, conveniently located and easy to get in and out of. Cashiers are friendly but could be faster if they didn't talk so much.

Recently stopped in to check out the store quite a large selection to seafood my favorite. During checkout I watch staff harassing a elderly customer who gave him a hundred-dollar bill and they told him he shouldn't be shopping on a Sunday morning with a hundred-dollar bill we don't have change. I offered to give him my ATM card so he can pay for his purchase, cashier said she had to take the hundred because she already entered it into the register and you can't change the transaction told her to void it and rearing it up and we'll pay for my card no some guy came over threaten the man to punch his teeth out and get out of the store he said he wanted his hundred dollars or is groceries the man who scored him to the front door he did get his money but I won't return to that store I can't believe the way they treated that customer because they didn't have change oh yeah I'm sending my register receipt into a complaint to corporate no one should have been treated like

This Hannaford is at the bottom of my list of places to grocery shop. Very expensive and the cashiers 9 times out of 10 are so rude. On the plus side typically their produce is very fresh & the store is always very clean.Reduced from 2 stars, down to 1. Cashiers need customer service training ASAP.

I stop at this Hannaford just about every day of the week easily spend $300 a week I enjoy coming here because I bring my puppy she's been coming in with me for the past 3 months no problem all the employees say hello to her sweetest dog I stop in tonight she's no longer allowed in they want to see service papers I was told she cannot come in with me needless to say I won't be back.

Hannaford always has everything I need when I go there. The store is very easy to navigate, and the shelves are well stocked. The main reason for my 5 star review has to be for Liam Wilson. He keeps Hannaford so clean. The bathrooms are so well maintained, and every time I see him around the store, he always has a smile and is incredibly personable.

This store was a surprise to me. When I walked in I was amazed how big it was. It was so organized and stocked. Employees were very friendly. This was my first time in there.

Big, corporate, expensive...the usual. The nicest of all the Rutland supermarkets, for what that is worth. Better to go to farmers market for local produce.

1st I called this store at 6:25 and Tyler answered the phone. Extremely pleasant and gave me the answer I needed. Excellent customer service! I go to this store at 7:30am to the deli and I can say, “I wasn’t impressed”. Kid who waited on me never changed gloves, kept touching his collar/shirt with said gloves and put my pepperoni in pieces/sheds in a pile and would push it down. I think his name was Paul! I had a pile of “meat” I couldn’t separate. If I wasn’t in a hurry to get my bread made, I would have brought it back. It went in garbage, my bread now doesn’t have pepperoni in it. Poor customer service if I do say so myself!

Had nearly everything I went for. A lot of produce not available however.Always go for the hannaford brand, their frozen pizza is as good as take out!* Update*Produce abundant now...and carries items other markets do not...I found fresh bean sprouts!Stores clean, clutter free, and every staff member I encountered was smiling and helpful.South Glens Falls Hannaford is my go to market now

A nice store. Very clean. Employees all seem very helpful. Shelves all seem to be stocked full. Rating it a 4 because you always have to save room for improvement. If you need groceries and you are in the South Glens Falls area do yourself a favor. Stop and shop.

Staff in each department are always friendly and ready to help. If you have a question about the meat, fish or deli just ask. They have made items for me on the fly and even when it is busy they take a moment and help. The cashiers are always pleasant. Makes my shopping experience a nice one. Just a hint, look for manager sales in meat and fish, saved me a ton of money. I love it when the salmon is marked down.

This is my go to Supermarket. The store is clean, nicely laid out and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The pharmacy here is also great and it's very convenient to be able to get your groceries while getting a prescription filled. The only downside and it's not much of a downside is that the larger stores may have more "off the beaten path" items. If you are looking for a rare produce item say daikon or something like that you may not find it here. It's not much of a gripe for me personally and the fact that it is easy to get in get what you need and get out more than makes up for it in my opinion.

This is a great store. It isn't the biggest or fanciest grocery store in the area, but it is well run. I have never had issues here. I often shop here as it is only 2 miles away. I happened to run by today to make a roasted cauliflower with mushrooms, carrots and garlic.

Hannaford had the food I needed ready to go, they even gave me a minute to retrieve my wallet, and are very customer oriented. They made my experiance of cooking 2 full size chicken's with McCormick dry rub so much more enjoyable.(I am a self proclaimed tragger grill master.)

Produce department is very unsanitary and dirty. If you ever get salads and packaged vegetables look in the shelf’s where the product sits, it’s full of mold or other sticky nasty juices. The greens wall shelf’s are most of the time full of dirty or product that has expired and has mold on it. The store overall is poorly stocked, there always seems to be products missing and I hear they discriminate against certain employees. Not good!!!

The grocery store has a wide selection of products available! It is a decent size store! The prices are pretty good overall! The store seems to be pretty clean! It is well stocked usually! It's a nice place to shop! I would definitely recommend it!

While I understand that not everyone believes they should be wearing masks I would expect that employees would at least. Tonight I saw 2 employees with masks under their noses, and 1 standing at the front end manager station with no mask on just talking with other employees. I am also sad to see them not limiting the number of people in the store anymore. Our family felt that it set them apart from other stores. Guess they are just like the rest now.

There isn't enough space for me to list all the positive experiences I had had at our south glens falls store. The employees always go above and beyond to assist you with your needs. Even during there recent remodel the store remained clean and organized, and the employees didn't let the remodel effect there quality of service. I will always shop at this hannaford, I'm there at least 4 or 5 times per week. Thank you ......

Shopping here has really gone downhill. There are either bare shelves or staff is berating me for a rule they don't fully understand. They don't care about manners. I understand that they have a job to do but if they make me run to get out of their way, they could at least acknowledge me or say, "excuse me". When I was in college and worked at Shop N Save, we were not allowed to have a conversation with co-workers while assisting customers. Today, I am practically invisible as they process my transaction and throw my change at me. I only go here for something quick, otherwise, my main shopping is at Market 32.

To me this is a little bit smaller of a Hannaford than it's closer to home but this one I stopped by time and time again because my sister-in-law lives near and because the manager at that particular store is smart enough to discount things in that sailbins more so than the other hand affordsThey have everything you need again it's a little bit smaller of a grocery store but it's absolutely a special little store.

I like the variety of products you have, like low fat and low sodium choices. But your prices are way too high...my brother and I were kids when we joked and said, "I'll stop shopping if one bag of groceries cost $50.00." Well, when I shopped Hannaford, my one bag cost $50.00. I had to put back items more than once because of your high prices. It seems like most of your items are $3.00 or near there. I don't like to have to shop other stores just to stay on budget.The workers are second to none, always very pleasant and the store is clean & neat.

Recently shopping with a newborn in the middle of the day. He started screaming right in time for checkout. One of the women took me in a completely new aisle to assist me out as soon as possible. Called in a bagger from somewhere else and insisted i have him help me to my car so i could get home as soon as possible. I love the people at this store they are always so friendly and this just reassured me that the community here is great.

Long time shopper at this hannaford. Ever since they relocated customer service to the express lanes the checkout process has become tedious. What good is an express lane when you have people buying balloons that need to be inflated or getting their money back for an item?Today's trip was especially frustrating. I have never seen lines so long.On a positive note, the staff is always friendly and helpful.It's the only store in town, so one has to put up with some negatives in the name of convenience.
