Their selection of animal products are extremely lacking in comparison to many of the stores surrounding this particular branch. The variety is just as limited as the stores actual floor space. Overall the staff is helpful, all the same, not too friendly. It just doesn't feel like I love my pet if I have to visit the place.

I have come here for everything from bird food, to mice for snake, to fish. The service has been fine although the employees engage in questionable activity on occasion. One example is that one employee would inconsistently charge me an extra ten cents when I would buy mice, saying that there was a ten cent fee for the paper box to take it home in. Didn't really make any sense, I bought the mouse how else do I take it home? She was the only one who did that. Another thing is the terrible quality of the fish. Almost every single tank is covered is a very severe case of ick. I saw goldfish rolling on the gravel floor on their tanks trying to rub at the ick and no treatment is being given, some with missing limbs. Worst cases of ick I had ever seen, even at larger petstores, I do not think the employees know much about animal care at all. However, prices are right for bird food, equipment, among other things.

The front display of this store held a horrifyingly trapped handful of baby parakeets in a hamster cage completely sealed with hamster bedding on the bottom and a singe ladder as a perch. I would not recommend anyone to shop at this store in fact i encourage you to complain about it because that is pretty much animal abuse. Parakeets are smart birds and that experience of being trapped in a plastic hamster cage with oncoming traffic from the street is terrifying to small birds even those that are social. I even went a couple days later to the same location and saw the same birds were still there, all fighting for food that was placed in small toy bathtubs on the bottom of the cage. Their water was in similar tubs and had pieces of bedding in it and was unclean. Being an owner of two parakeets, this was horrifying to me and so i do not recommend anyone to do their shopping there for any animal needs. There was a bunny in the back tucked away in a corner in a cage too small, and an array of birds overcrowded in cages. The last time i went, it was a few minutes till closing and the worker did not make any attempt to remove the birds from the hamster cage or even cover them for the night. This is very harmful and shows the employees have very little knowledge of animals and animal care and probably tell customers the wrong information that can lead to the premature death and traumatization of small animals that can be easily prevented. Parakeets are in no way dumb, and they do carry memories and it will be very difficult for them to become accustomed to a regular cage or even being adopted by parents, which leads them to be more susceptible of being abandoned and misunderstood by prospective owners.

There were a bunch of dead fish everywhere. Every other tank had a dead fish floating belly up or trapped between the tubes underwater. We even saw a old fish skeleton.In front of the store by the cashier are a bunch of dead or dying beta fishes. The fish were lackluster in color in tiny bowls. Some were dead for so long the fins were turning white.

They have the basics if you're a cat owner. Dry food, some wet and a small assortment of toys. If you have a dog they do have a larger selection of toys, food, and other supplies. Nothing special here but if you're ever in a bind and need some quick pet food this would be your spot.

Sales people are nice. There's your typical tropical fishes that are sold there. There's also dog and cat food and snacks. The prices are okay. And they're local.

The staffs here is helpful, got some kitten foods and toys here. They have experience on taking care of animals as well. A great place in Flushing to shop for pets foods and equipments.

the staffs are great but the arowana is over priced.90 dollar silver arowana lol i can just buy the arowana the same size in monster fish inc for only 20 to 45 bucks

I always go and buy food for my cat she’s on her way to becoming a senior and every time I go in there’s always something that catches my eye but go and look for yourself the staff are friendly and the service is always amazing
