We had an amazing stay at Shadowcrest. Brendan was such a lovely host and the house was stunning inside and out. The modern bedrooms and bathroom were gorgeous and made staying in this historic home cozy and comfortable. Brendan gave lovely recommendations for neighboring business. We went hiking and snow tubing over the weekend and everything was great!Definitely will be back again! Would love to see the property in spring/summer.

Had a pleasant night last weekend. The room was nicely decorated and well thought out. A great place to stay for skiing at Belleayre.It did seem like noise from other guests might have been a problem, except that the other guests were all very quiet.

I’ve stayed in different places in a dozen countries and this place is my favorite. It’s affordable, yet ridiculously luxurious. I booked the Emory room last minute, so it had already been booked. I was upgraded for free to the Vy room that was only 20 dollars more than the Emory room, which I would have paid if I knew the Vy room had an insanely comfy king bed, a beautiful rain shower, and heated bathroom tile. It even had a really nice seating area. I can tell that the gorgeous moulding all over the house is original (1901) and I am just in awe of it and this incredible newly updated old Victorian home. I do not even remember the last time I slept that comfortably.

Really happy I found Shadowcreek Guest House...I'd give it 5 stars all around. Brendan and Max are great hosts- excellent communication and they went above and beyond to ensure I had a pleasant stay. The room and bed was great - very clean. The bathroom in the room I stayed in was totally updated with a wonderful rainfall shower head- great for after a long day of Catskill hiking!Location is excellent- central to a lot of grest hiking and ski slopes. Main Street in Fleishmans has several restaurant options and a grocery store that is walkable.And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the wonderful veranda and gorgeous oak staircase as you enter the home!Hope to be back soon!

I cannot speak highly enough about our experience at The Shadowcrest Guest House. Everything about the experience was perfect. From the carefully curated decorations in every corner of the house to the recommendations and warm welcome the owners gave us - our stay could not have been better. Highly recommended! Brendan went above and beyond to make my family feel comfortable. We arrived on Easter Sunday and he called quite a few places before finding one that would be open for us to have dinner. The house is gorgeous and has a lot of the original wood paneling along with beautiful vintage furniture in the guest areas. The room itself was a mix of modern and Victorian and was clean, spacious, and the bedding was so comfortable!We brought 2 little ones and the oldest begged to stay a 2nd night because she loved it so much. The included tea/coffee /hot chocolate items in the morning were all delicious! Another big plus was how accommodating Brendan was- he was flexible about our checkout time.I already told my husband we have to go back to Shadowcrest next time we’re in the area! I have nothing but good things to say about our stay.

Nice place.Do not hesitate in booking this accommodation.Highlights: Comfy bed; Mountain View (Vly Room); nice seating area inside the room, downstairs in the parlor and outside on the wraparound porch; amazing bathroom with awesome showerCompare this place to many places within a few miles and you’d need to give Shadowcrest 7 stars. I drove past a few of the places I had considered when planning my trip and I was SO glad I came here instead.It’s across the street from a “cantina,” but also a free giant parking lot. (Nice trade-off.)The little town here is nothing special, but this place is great.

This place is amazing! I highly recommend it to anyone who plans a trip nearby. The rooms are upscale hotel room standards and the bedding is incredibly comfortable. The host Brendan is incredible. He is super friendly and went above and beyond. He gave me a lot of local recommendations and made this guest house a lovely place. It’s only 5 minutes drive to the Belleayre mountain and close to all the Catskills trails. Highly recommend it for every season if you’re visiting the Catskills.

I have been eyeing this place for a while now. I finally got a chance to visit and it exceeded expectations! What a gem! If you are traveling in the Catskills, consider this guesthouse. The eye for design is amazing in addition to the original architecture details. The Vly suite has a beautiful rainfall shower head ( and pullout nozzle) with heated bathroom floors. The linens are clean, soft, and comfy. The managers are kind and sweet. Parking is free and there are new restaurants, art gallery etc in the quiet but up and coming neighborhood. The wrap around porch is a nice place to sit and have a drink and the parlour a cozy place to play board games. I kind of want to keep this place a secret but I want them to do well so...

Came here for a quick weekend trip and had an amazing time! The room was very well-renovated- I particularly enjoyed the heated bathroom floors and comfy king bed :)The owners are WONDERFUL- i had a flat tire during my trip and they were extremely helpful. Would highly recommend!

From the first phone call, we knew we would have a great time. We took a week to spend enjoying the seasonal changing of the leaves for our anniversary. We became instant friends with our gracious host Brendan. Our room overlooked Main Street Fleischmann, as well as a mountain side full of gorgeous fall color. The bed… the most comfortable, plush bed we’ve ever slept in. It’s so peaceful (it’s VERY quiet) there. Our attached bathroom was gorgeous and the water pressure, excellent. Each night we enjoyed a glass (bottle) of wine on the beautiful Victorian porch with cozy blankets and candlelight. We joined Brendan by the fire, our last night. The house is so beautiful. If you love old historic homes, you will appreciate the gorgeous woodwork and millwork still in its natural state. Stunning!! We can’t wait to return. Thank you, Brendan and Max, for opening your home to us. You’ve done great!Amber and Steve

My wife and I were in the area to celebrate the life of a late loved one. We happened on Shadowcrest. What a wonderful stay it turned out to be. First of all the room was well decorated and appointed. Better than anything else we saw in the area. What really made the stay the best was the spectacular hospitality offered by Brenden. Very fine folks here with a very nice place in a quiet town in the Catskills. What more could one ask for?

My husband and I stayed here the week we were closing on our house. We absolutely loved it! The owners are lovely and gracious. The rooms are spotless, impeccably designed, and comfy. Not to mention the home is beautiful and has been thoughtfully restored by the owners. It’s also in a great location with plenty of parking and skiing a stone’s throw away. The town has a vibrant history and an adorable coffee and sandwich shop called Village East nearby. Highly recommend!

Brendan and Max make you feel right at home the minute you walk up the porch stairs. They are super attentive, always ready to address your needs. The location cannot be beat- especially if you enjoy outdoor activities such as skiing and hiking. You are close enough to all the action, but far enough away that its quiet at night. As for the rooms, this is a modern Victorian house with lots of character, charm and cleanliness. It will continue to be my go to place when staying in the Catskills😃

Exceeded expectations! Rooms were beautifully decorated, the owners could not have been nicer, and the location was perfect. We came for a ski trip to Bellearye but lots of hiking trails if the weather was warmer. Would definitely stay here again.

Shadowcrest! One of the best inns I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. This turn of the 20th century Victorian architectural delight has been thoughtfully renovated with all of the historic integrity in tact, all the while modernized for comfort. The proprietors are so genuine and sweet and will go the extra mile to make you happy. We also stayed here in February and it is so close to Belleayre ski mountain that you could come back for a mid-day break and return to the slopes for another handful of runs. The Vly Room where we stayed was exceptional, spacious and well outfitted. The bed was like sleeping in a cloud. The bathroom very tastefully modernized. The village is full of charm and history and seems to be on the up and up. Shadowcrest is a short walking distance to a fabulous cafe called Village East, an art gallery and I hear that a wine/tapas bar is opening soon. Anyway I highly recommend this remarkable guest house and without a doubt click "book now" immediately.

Whenever we head up Upstate we always stay at Shadowcrest. The house is unbelievably beautiful, the hosts are amazing and the town is cute and quirky. The rooms are clean, modernized and cozy. The entry of the house is breathtaking and has so much historical charm. I have sent a number of our friends to stay at Shadowcrest and they all have had the same wonderful experience!

My 5 nigh stay at the Shadowcrest was exceptional in every way. From the beautifully appointed room to the beautiful and inviting inn itself. Brandon, the innkeeper and owner was caring and attentive beyond words. He made sure I have everything I need and comfortable during my stay. Shadowcrest is conveniently located just a few minutes from Belleayre mountain, dining and a local supermaket right across the street. I will definitely be back for another stay very soon.

We make it a point to always come back to Shadowcrest when we are up this way. Brendan and Max are so accommodating and friendly. We’ve stayed in two of their rooms and both are beautiful with their own private bathrooms. Everything you need is just a short walk from the house (coffee shop, grocery store, liquor store, etc). We love relaxing on front porch at the end of the night with a drink. It’s the perfect ending to a perfect day here.

Brendan and Max are great ambassadors for the Village of Fleishmanns. There home is a five minute drive to Belleayre Mountain a short walk to The village east for fresh coffee breakfast lunch and dinner. The room was immaculate, the rainfall shower was so refreshing after a long day on the slopes. We loved staying there so much we became their Nieghbors.

Brendan and Max were of great help on my trip out to the Catskills! Minor issues with the site I booked through but they resolved it very promptly and gave some great recommendations for what to do in my time there. Highly recommend to stay here if you make your way out for a vacation.
