This is a wonderful and affordable place to have your pet taken care of. I board my dog here and it's convenient for friends and family and dog walkers to visit him. Terry the owner has been a staple in East Greenbush for 20+ years. We are blessed to have this place.

Had my dog for three days while we were away from home, but when I picked up she smelled very bad. It was so bad and strong smell of urine and dog litter. When I called this place and spoke to the owner she said that our dog was kept in a large kennel but she confirmed that there were other male (unneutered dog) that were close to my dog and had some accidents.This place is not the place where you want to board your dog. I would not recommend Pet Stop to anyone needing of boarding service for their pet.

I bring a whole pack to Terrie and she is amazing with them! They always look fabulous adter she grooms them. I am so lucky to have found her!

Terry came and picked up my cat Raider, who is a long hair cat and had some pretty big knots and matted hair. She had him back in an hour or so looking absolutely fantastic with his lion cut... she is awesome would definitely recommend Terry. Thank you!

They do not abuse animals, don't believe those reviews. Great staff and great to animals. Have gotten ALL my rats and supplies there. Super friendly and helpful. They take great care of all of their animals. It's very clean and yes it smells like animals because... they're a pet store...

Tried to make an appointment for two dogs to get groomed but the person that answers the phone was rude and angry. I would not want to leave my dogs alone with someone that sounds so angry doing her job, which is taking care of animals

Owner is completely caring about animals. When we had three dogs, then two, and now only have our Yorkie, she's cared for them when we needed boarding and always orders the products we use so they will be ready when we pick them up. Also, her new store is great!

Since moving to their new location I think it is a much better store. I didn't realize until after my recent visit that it was the same store from the price chopper plaza. Spur of the moment I stopped in on labor day and ended up adopting a kitten. He's a doll and so far a great little guy. I wish them the best in their new spot.

We've been bringing our dogs, first Maggie, now Rosie to Terry for grooming for years now... Her appt. times are flexible, the fee is reasonable compared to most, and Maggie and Rosie have always been treated well and happy to go there. Kudos on the new location and store.

Our 4 month old puppy goes once a week, (more if there’s no one home for him) for day care and absolutely LOVES it! As soon as he sees where we are he’s pulling on the leash to get in. He comes home happy and tired from playing all day... we’re thrilled to have a flexible, safe and convenient place to bring him and not have to crate him all day. He loves the staff and his new doggie friends, and we always find healthy treats and toys in stock, at a reasonable price. Highly recommend if you’re looking for reasonably priced day care and supplies in or near Rensselaer County.

I hold pet stores to a very high standard, and this place is an absolute dump. They cage their reptiles improperly (2 adult corn snakes to a 20L at most) their painted concrete floor is completely chipped and stained and dirty looking. I left a bad review on them a year ago for having a dog in a kennel on the sales floor with cherry eye (that means it needs vet attention) and was completely harassed in the comments on my review. This place should have been shut down years ago when they were breeding guinea pigs out of control.

I've gotten a rabbit and guinea pig here before. Not only is the owner rude and mean to the animals, but the place is an absolute dump and the animals are kept in disgusting conditions. Its abusive, just straight animal abuse. Plus they almost killed my friend's dog when she boarded her dog here a few years ago. Will never shop here again, this place needs to be shut down.

Does not honor grooming appts NOR does she call to cancel.I had an appt 12/1 @ 10am, upon arrival she told me she could not groom my cat. she had no helper and was already grooming a dog.PHONE CALLS ARE APPRECIATED!

I have been going to Pet Stop for years . Grooming needs are always done here and Terry carries the absolute top of the line dog food. If there is a brand you are looking for to meet your pets specific needs stop in and discuss it with her, I'm sure she can help you out.

I love this place the pets are well taken care of unlike petsmart and petco they do a wonderful job when it come to grooming and boarding animals and the pig they have is a joy to see every time I visit Terry is a really good owner and she really know what she is doing 🐶🐱 🐇 🐖

I have been going here for at least 10 years, Never have seen any abuse or neglect of any kind. People that say are neglectful or abusive obviously are not experienced pet owners or have never cared for multiple animals for any length of time.
