I have never had the urge to eat a Reuben sandwich until I saw someone share a picture of it from this cafe. The service was quick, very nice wait staff, and the Reuben did not disappoint. Ordered a side of waffle fries which came out hot and perfectly crispy. I probably could have done without the Mac and cheese (eyes bigger than my stomach). I also had the blackberry pie for dessert. I really wanted to like it but found the seeds made it hard to eat. Otherwise it was good and not too sweet. Would pick any other pie, they all looked great. Overall, enjoyed my meal here and would recommend!

Big plate of food. Wait staff were very friendly. Took a while to order and get food but understandable these days with lack of employees. Price’s were very reasonable. If your in the area you should stop in for a meal. I didn’t have any dessert, but I was checking out the pie flavors and definitely would have had some if I had room left in my stomach to eat any pie. We are planning to come back to this area for wine and spirit tours someday. We were here for a wedding and didn’t really know much about the area but now we know how beautiful it is we want to visit again. Probably not in November because it was too chilly.

Ate here recently. Here was my pros and cons.Pros: small town diner. Come in and seat yourself. I was there Mexican night and the food was good.Cons: our waitress got our order wrong. When she brought our food I told her politely it was wrong and told her what we had actually ordered. So she went to the kitchen and then brings out the correct food but charged us for the wrong food as well as the correct food. Then she never asked about refills but sat on her phone and talked with the other 2 waitresses. It was obvious she didn’t care about us or her job.Id eat here again but hopefully she isn’t working. Good food but bad service snd paying for her mistake. Maybe next time will be different.

After visiting Watkins Glen we found this little hole in the wall restaurant. Very friendly service and the food had a good home cooking taste. Is it the best food i have ever had? No, but it was pretty good for this small little town. I would recommend stopping by if you ever find yourself in the area.

A lovely locally owned and operated diner. Step back in time to a cozy small town eatery. All day breakfast ,daily lunch specials, and homemade dessert. Food is always good and prices are decent.Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu.

Traveling for work and had to stop for food on my way to my meeting. Saw a little diner: Classic Cafe.#1 Rueben!!! So yummy. Super thin slices piled high!Server and cashier were so friendly as well!Will be back for another Rueben soon!!

Enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendliest wait staff I have encountered. Had the julienne salad, and Manhattan clam chowder. Excellent! Prices very reasonable. It as a local homespun small town restaurant environment. A diamond in the rough. These are restaurants i always frequent. Absolutely will return quite often.

What a great local haunt. We came here on vacation and the service was amazing. It’s been a week and I am still dreaming of their blueberry pancakes! They also have homemade sweet rolls that are amazing. I highly recommend this place!!!

This place is really really good. I had the breakfast over there. It’s amazing, also on Wednesday evening they have Mexican specials. It’s a lot of food and the prices are really good

Walked in to instant 80's /90's style nostalgia!! They even went out of the way to make my Husbands biscuits and gravy!! Not to mention the pancakes are amazing!! If you grew up when I did, and just want that feeling again for a little bit in the modern world, go. Enjoy!! 😊😊

I have very fond memories of growing up and coming here for hot chocolate with the whipped topping, but unfortunately this was a not so fond memory. My group of four arrived when the cafe only had one other table and were greeted by the owner who offered us a seat. After being seated we waited an additional 10 minutes before being acknowledged again as two other tables came in (regulars) and were waited on before us, however, we continued to place our orders. It took an additional 10 minutes to get our drinks and we got like 2 sips before our food came out. When our food arrived we explained that I was missing a sausage patty from my plate and the waitress returned quickly with a sausage patty. As I ate my food I took one bite from that sausage patty just to realize that it was not done. I finished eating and explained to the owner I was not looking for a refund but wanted her to know for future customers and I wasn’t rude about it. However my mother paid the bill but before she did she realized the prices were different from the menu. I would recommend the hot chocolate to anyone especially on a cold day, but unfortunately I would not eat here again.

Went with my boyfriend to get late lunch. I ordered a burger and he got scrambled eggs. As soon as the food came out I noticed a large curly black hair on top of the burger. I pointed it out to the waitress and she grabbed it out of my food with her bare hands and asked if I needed a new sandwich. I said yes and as she took my plate back to the kitchen I notice another long hair cooked into my boyfriend's scrambled eggs. When she came back she set my plate down and immediately walked away, so we called for her to show her the eggs. She took his plate back to the kitchen and made him new eggs. Didn't check on us once, never refilled our drinks and didn't bring me the condiments I asked for. I didn't end up eating the burger as I lost my appetite but my boyfriend ate his eggs. While my boyfriend was eating another customer was complaining about a sticky table and that they had placed their arms in something sticky, and had their entire meal comped. When we went to counter to pay I asked her to take my meal off as I didn't eat it and she said "well what was wrong with it." Ended up paying 9$ for a small plate of scrambled eggs and two iced teas. Incredibly unimpressed with how the situation was handled. The food here is usually pretty good but was so dissatisfied and disappointed that I probably won't be returning anytime soon.

My husband and I stopped in here tonight to get two fish dinners to bring home because we had our grandson with us so we didn't want to eat in. We got our meals home and it was the worst fish dinner I've ever had the fish breading was very doughy and raw the mashed potatoes had a foul taste to him the macaroni and cheese and my husband got with his was cold and gummy. I called down and talked to a young lady and told her about our experience and told her that I probably wouldn't be back and she said sorry to hear about that have a good night. My opinion that is not the way to do business

Fast service. Friendly staff. Locals come here. Owner makes fresh cakes and pies early every day. This is an old building with a metal, maybe tin, ceiling.Parking: Municipal parking behind building. Cafe is on a corner. There is a back entry.

The coffee was old and burnt. The second cup was warm and weak, service was slow, the food was only mediocre, there was no kids menu, not planning a return trip, can't say I would recommend this plan, but I can say everything from the time we were seated til we left was pretty underwhelming, but it's your choice.
