This is a cute little diner that my husband and I stumbled upon during our weekend getaway to Jamestown. The servers were friendly, efficient, and attentive. We had the sausage and gravy biscuits breakfast and the cinnamon roll pancakes, which were HUGE! We only could eat half of them. For the quantity and quality of food that we got, the prices were reasonable. We were extremely happy and would come back again! Note that they do not accept credit cards.

This was our first time here and we went for a late breakfast. Take note this is a cash only restaurant. They do have an ATM inside if you need cash.The people, both employees and patrons, were all very friendly and talkative. A couple of the local men there for breakfast were fun to talk and joke with.We seated ourselves and had instant service from a nice young lady who brought us our initial drinks (ice water for both) while looking at the menu.My wife ordered the scrambler with bacon, spinach, broccoli, and provalone along with the standard potatoes and eggs. She also had the salt rising toast and coffee.I ordered the omelet with ham, swiss, mushrooms, and very light on the green peppers. I also had the cinnamon raisin toast and milk. (The picture below was taken at about the half way point.)The wait for the food took hardly any time at all. Both meals were delicious and filling. Everything was cooked perfectly, and there was plenty of fillings with both.There were only 3 very minor negatives at all, and this is being really picky...1. The amount of green peppers were excessive since I asked for "really light on the green peppers". This is really a matter of opinion I'm sure, but it seemed like the amount that would normally be served.2. The waitress forgot my milk until I was almost half way through my meal and I reminded her. She was busy, and immediately brought it when reminded.3. The size of the glass of milk for $2 was rather small, about the size of a small juice glass. I know prices are high right now, but I can get a full gallon at the store for about $2.49.Overall, the meal was really good as you would expect from a nice, small town restaurant. We would definitely return for another meal, maybe lunch or dinner next time.Total cost of our meal, including a 20%+ tip for very good service was only $33 for both of us.

The food and service at Village Restaurant are absolutely wonderful. Lana always greets you with a smile and is attentive to your needs. The horse decor is a big hit with the kids. Leslie doesn’t hide her disdain for people and love of cats which is very endearing. Also, and this can be very under appreciated, but it is the cleanest restaurant in town. Truly a treasure.

A hidden gem in the town of Dewitville the owner/staff are very polite and make sure they effectively and efficiently take care of their customers.Whether you're in a hurry or just want to sit and socialize, definitely a good place for both. A homely atmosphere, thanks again for your great service and food.

A restaurant that definitely doesn't care about Covid spacing requirements. We should have known going in when there is a big sign out front saying, "I believe in the constitution! Open New York!" One of the employees walked around with no mask serving customers, it was shameful.Food wasn't bad but given their lax ideals regarding other people's safety you have to wonder how they run their kitchen with an attitude like that.

This place is fantastic.We stopped here after camping nearby and we are really happy we did. What a find!The woman who owns it, and her daughters, were very friendly and accommodating.The food was incredible. I had a classic breakfast. Wife had cinnamon roll pancake… we recommend it! They are very big and very delicious!This is a recommended stop!

The owner/cook is a hoot. Food is EXCELLENT. Family atmosphere not only between the staff and owners but also all of the customers.The customers will serve each other coffeeand talk with strangers like they've known them all of their lives.It is truly a gem.

Village restaurant is amazing. Service is always great. On the weekend it is always a packed house, but they are quick to get you seated and going. The owner is amazing and friendly. Always treats you like family. Always excited when I'm in the area to stop and have a meal here. Come here hungry, if you leave hungry that's your fault.Thanks Leslie and staff!

We were staying at the KOA campground, and came here for breakfast.Very friendly, great breakfast menu. Absolutely delicious. Word of warning, the portions are big. I got the 3-egg omlette hungry man dish, and I could only eat 1/2 of it.This was a most excellent place to eat.

The smell of bacon from our car is what drew us in. This is a great local place. Their Pancakes are the size of small saucers. The fruit side was also Amazing fresh oranges grapes bananas Watermelon cantaloupe apples strawberries and Blueberries.

Great down home local diner. Highly recommend the cinnamon roll pancakes! Swirled with cinnamon and sugar makes it soft and fluffy inside with a little cinnamon sugar crunch. Delicious!

Great food and very reasonable prices. They were very busy and we had to wait for a table. You could see the staff was overwhelmed by the way they had to run around, but you could not tell by the service. They were still very professional and friendly, even with the extra work.

We ordered two or the large fish fries.i will tell you that the fish was cooked perfectly. Most times I like the fish and not the sides. We had Mac salad and coleslaw. Prices a little high, but food was good. Wait staff had no masks on, and seemed to invade your space a little more then most restaurants we have been to after we opened back up. Did not see anyone clean the salt&pepper shakers. Bottom line, not only good food, but a good way to catch covid19. Will not come back.

The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Ordered eggs benedict (special that day, not on the daily menu, but it was AMAZING) & hash for breakfast and rueben & club sandwiches with sides of homemade potato and macaroni salads for lunch. And the best for last.. a side of cinnamon bun pancake.As a meal, appetizer or dessert, whatever you do, just get it. Trust me. 😍We could not pick a favorite dish as it was all fabulous!Can't wait to go again. 😊

Always good, will make most any combination of things you want in your omollet, marble rye toast is excellent. The wife had the almond French toast and very much enjoyed it. 😉
