i have only the best things to say about 8 hands. The staff is friendly and provides superior service. They have always been patient with my small children and accommodating to my family. I've never had a bite i didn't entirely enjoy. the fresh cuts of meat are top notch too. Take home some broth next time you visit...you wont regret it...delicious and nutritious!

I am incredibly disappointed with the service and lack of respect I was dealt today by 8 Hands. To start, I am a very frequent customer - I come and eat at the farm more than once a week on average, spending hundreds of dollars a month.Today I had to make a ferry at 12pm in Orient Point, and only had 30 minutes to spare to pick up my food. I called and asked a favor, if I could order my sandwich over the phone and pickup in person. I spoke to Ava, who said they typically don’t do orders like this, but after I told her my situation, she agreed, saying they would make an exception for me which I greatly appreciated. When I arrived and went to the counter to speak to pickup my order, Ava told me the kitchen “forgot” about my order and that I would have to wait 30 minutes for them to make it. I reminded her about my time crunch, and she suddenly became very rude with me and told me it’s my fault for ordering over the phone, even though she had told me she would honor the order over the phone.Awful experience that was not handled well at all. A business should honor what they agree to, or at least show a humane level of respect to their customers. I love to support small, local businesses. Such a shame, won’t be coming back to 8 Hands.

Absolutely love this place!! The food is savory and fresh. The custard they make is to die for. I’ve never had anything quite like it !! The market has pantry essentials and special local goods. The oatmeal soap …..mmmmmm. Getting to enjoy a latte and look out at the animals is serene. The staff is super friendly ~ the one girl always answers all my annoying questions with poise. She is super smart. 8 out of 5 starts for 8 hands farm. Love love love it all.

Yesterday I went and got the meatball parm and it was amazing! Everything is delicious and the staff is super kind and helpful. Ava and Natalie are always a joy to see and make it a pleasant experience every time. I highly recommend coming here for a lunch if you want to feel at home, full, and enjoy a friendly interactive staff.

The new market they have going is great! The egg sandwich is in a league of its own. They also have homemade bone broth and really good bread. And great coffee as well.

Real food, high standards on all ingredients, great place to stop for a healthy, farm to table experience. So far everything I’ve tried, from the fermented beets to a Vietnamese Bao liver sandwich to the custard frozen cream has been made to perfection with skill and love. You can find frozen free range chicken legs and fresh bread.. There is hand spun wool and handmade soap. Lots of artistic touches and artisan products. Go go go

Charming year round farm with lots of treats, skincare products, meat, bone broth, bones & produce! A must stop. Sadly we missed breakfast... heard The Classic egg sandwich is great. The foodtruck menu changes so you have to check Instagram. Really nice owners. We got chicken livers, wool dryer balls, shishito peppers, all natural soap made from their lard, etc.

Amazing selection of fresh local meats -- and some of the best frozen custard I've ever tried! Highly recommend the beef cuts, chicken wings, and eggs in particular. All fantastic.

Such serenity and great, family-owned vibes. What a quiet spot to grab food from THE best food truck ever (that hamburger...ooooohhhh) while looking at the same sheep that donated their wool for the yarn you can buy.

First time there as my friends say it has the best pork out there and they were right. The people who own/run the farm really know what they are doing and have a wide variety of not only pork but other items as well for a one stop shop for dinner and dessert (they slice the bacon right in front of you)

Me, my wife, and our toddler son have been coming to 8 hands for one year now. We drive almost 2 hours away from Nassau county. Not only is the food absolutely delicious, but it is also extremely fresh and extremely healthy. I am so happy we found this farm. It has all made us much more healthier, and it helped me lose a ton of weight. It's amazing the difference from the supermarket to 8hands. I will never have my family eat from the supermarket when we have 8hands on Long Island. It is family owned and operated and they do such an amazing job!

My go to for locally sourced meats, prepared foods and baked goods. Fabulous sourdough, eggs, house made pastrami from their own animals!

Lovely, beautiful location with amazing food. The butcher counter has the freshest, best cuts of amazing chicken, pork, and lamb as well as amazing sausages, pate and more. They also make delicious sandwiches. Last time I was there, I couldn't decide, so I got one of each.

I’m being very generous with this review. This is more like a small convenience store (not much to choose from). No longer prepares food; More of a coffee shop and butcher spot to buy meat and sausage to take home and cook and some vegetables and pasta. Thumps up for the chocolate. If you are hungry though, don’t stop here to get something to eat. Peace.

8 Hands Farm sells excellent fresh foods at a premium cost, but it seems evident that the extra dollars at the register are going towards living wages and sustainable practices. Their eggs and meats are reliably excellent and their fresh pasta is very good.Visit the farm at the right time (weekends only, this year) and enjoy an excellent sandwich from the food truck parked around back of the store. Say hello to the chickens that will likely visit your picnic table!

Purchased pork butt yesterday to prepare today, unfortunately, the stench from the spoiled meat was so overwhelming that I had to throw it out. Should have been warned by the looks of their ground beef (which I didn't purchase because of that) and their refusal to grind fresh beef. It'll be New Year's Eve at the Chinese Restaurant for us, instead. I reported the business the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, hopefully no one gets sick from their products.

Whole staff awesome!Breakfast pricy, but soooo good. I had 2 different types of breakfast toast so far. One that had greens, eggs and bacon jam etc & the other had cream cheese, fresh salmon, scallions and fresh dill. Both taste sooo good. Both on their homemade bread toasted. Will keep coming back even though takes me an hour to get here.

Nice little farm. Small variety of produce and meats. The food truck is terrific. Benches with umbrellas to sit and eat. Space for blankets, picnics, and the kids to run around. Dog friendly but dogs must be on a leash.

Delicious farm fresh food supplies their food truck on premises. Picnic tables on the patio and lawn make for a lovely outdoor meal. Recommend the breakfast sandwich with fresh made sausage, and the BBQ beef sandwich. Yum!

We drove up and down trying to find local and fresh eggs and after numerous unsuccessful attempt we stumble upon this cute little farm. I mean the chickens run around in the open in the back. We bought organic buttermilk, butter, fresh tomato sauce and granola. They also have grass fed organic meat.

The shop of 8 Hands Farm offers many items, cuts of meat, prepared foods, baked goods, vegetables and eggs, all delicious, organic and fresh. In addition, there are many other items. Well worth a stop.

Every few weeks I make a run out east to buy fresh fish and fresh vegetables. A few weeks ago I stopped in at 8 Hands Farm and I purchased some lamb rib and shoulder chops and some pork chops. I cannot say enough or find words adequate to describe just how good their meat products are. True, a little more expensive but the quality is so far above that of a typical butcher shop that paying a little extra is worth it.

8 Hands Farm is our favorite! Their sausage is the best my sausage-loving husband has ever had. The store is beautiful and well-stocked and the people there are fantastic.
