This Lowes is like the others I have been in.... they don't have anyone running a checkout! And you have to wait for people to figure out how to do it themselves.... While they have people standing and around just watching you. I rather have them check me out instead of watch me do it myself. We all know the prices haven't changed or discounts for checking and bagging your own goods.

My wife and I just bought a new house recently. Over the past month we've spent thousands of dollars in equipment, supplies, and appliances. Was there tonight spending another couple hundred dollars. There was a gallon of paint in the miss-tint section. Listed for $15. Listed that it had a leak. When we rang out it came up as $66 dollars. When we questioned the mistake the cashier only took off 10%. Coming out to $60 and some change. When I asked why I was told that the paint was put in the wrong section and was mislabeled. Which by law should have been sold as is at the price listed. However. The manager of the paint department said there was nothing he could do. We decided not to buy the paint and left very unhappy. Legally we should have been able to buy that paint for $15 dollars. Very poor customer service. Over the past 10 years I couldn't even say how much money I've spent at Lowe's, And I was extremely upset to find out that the manager couldn't honor the LAW, to make a customer happy for a $60 dollar gallon of leaky paint.

I went there to look at washers. There was a very helpful lady name Jolene. She went out of her way to help us. She sold me a washer. I would not of bought that washer if she didn't sell it. She is very polite and professional and she knows how to talk to your buyers. Thank you Jolene your the best.

We had ordered a washing machine for delivery and removal of the old one. Apparently the store has a third party that is responsible for the delivery, installation and removal of old unit. They did not complete the job because the guy did not wait two minutes for a plumber to come over to turn off the water valve to allow for removal of the unit, left trash on the front yard and left without completing the work and demanded me to follow up with Lowe's. Was told that Lowe's contracts out for some work and this happens alot . Would not recommend, will ask more detailed questions if I ever return to purchase any item again.

Even though I have to drive down from Tully, NY, this Cortland location is easier than getting to the Lowe’s in Syracuse area. Great helpful staff.

I went to three stores to get a key made, but no one could duplicate it. Mike at Lowe's was very quick and knowledgeable, as well as kind. He explained that if I had a problem with the key, I just needed to show my receipt. They will have my business for making keys going forward! When I arrived in the store, an associate was available to direct me to the "key" department. When I got there, an associate needed to be called to make my key. Someone very quickly accommodated my request. It was just an overall great experience today! Five stars, for sure!

I had to update my review after recent shopping experience. My dishwasher was delivered to store and no employees check it in and sat there for over 48hrs. I had to call store and ask them to do their job! Will never buy another appliance from Lowe's!

A big thank you! Had a defective piece of lawn equipment that I had purchased at the lowes in courtland ny,miss placed my receipt and the front end staff went out there way to ensure I was able to exchange the bad one for good one.that is the way to do customer service!!!

OUTSTANDING selection of items in every department. Employees are friendly. plenty of parking. Trying to find an employee that knew the difference between items in the same department was difficult.

In both stores, Ithaca and Cortland, our service was extraordinary by the women who worked with us in choosing vinyl tiles for our kitchen floor. The Lowe's in Ithaca did not have what we wanted, so a call was made to Cortland to make sure the details of what we needed were available in Cortland. We thought Sunday afternoon would be a bust, but it proved otherwise. Thank you Lowes!

Still have most of the things I want. Also if your looking for good deals download that app it'll be easy to see whats on sale especially since spring is here. Makes life easier for spring cleaning when you can get a pressure washer for cheap

Dereck the store manager is rude, talks over customers, refuses to rectify mistakes made by his store, passes the buck to other stores and hangs up on customers. I don’t think customer service is the right job for this man, let alone manager. It’s really sad to see how far customer service has fallen.

I was required to show a state issued ID in order to use a store gift card. As we all know requiring an ID to vote is racist and a barrier for minorities. Im sure we hold voting in higher esteem than a 10 dollar lowes card, but here we are with their large corp. supression rules.*Update. Lowes claims they will investigate. However, there is nothing to "investigate". These are corporate rules not an employee action.

Lowes is one of those places where you would expect sales people on the floor helping customers but no not once have I walked in there and have been offered any help unless I seeked it out. Even when you go to say the paint dept there is no one there and you have to flag someone down. If your a pro and know what your looking for you might find it but beyond that your better not be shy to ask for help.

Greg in the lumber department is a great employee. Helped me with some special cuts on plywood and was polite and friendly. Brittany, cashier, is another great person. Both welcomed me to Cortlandville as l have just moved here from Suffolk County, Long Island NY. Store is clean and for me, handicap accessible and with the electric carts for customer use. Thank you.

Good store terrible knowledge by employees. Training is lacking in every department. You need to know what you're looking for because the employees will only go to an electronic device to figure out what their job is. Very sad. And that's coming from a person that worked within a plumbing, heating & electrical store for years. Training was absolutely necessary on every product . Product knowledge was key for success for both the customer and the store.Sadly those days are evidently gone.It's all about profits.

If you all know Lowe’s then you know it’s the pinnacle of hardware stores in this area that is decently priced a one stop shop for any man or woman that needs to get things done in your home office or business great parking, great outdoor area, large selection of goods you will not be disappointed with your visit and if you’re in the area camping or vacationing stop in. You may need something you’ve forgotten.

This Lowe's location is always clean and usually has exactly what we need. Customer service is hit or miss depending upon who and when.We don't often ask for help but last time we were there we needed some assistance finding a particular part. We approached a group of employees who seemed to disperse once they realized we had a question. One gentleman did eventually come over and help us find what we needed.On another occasion we were helped by a gentleman in the freezer/refrigerator section. I can't remember his name but he was a dark haired gentleman from Brooklyn. He was very kind and helped us when we needed help picking out a freezer and came out of his dept to also help us pick out a door.For the most part, this is a wonderful store.

Service was atrocious....my son and I dragged a 300 pound air conditioner to the self checkout in view of no less than six red vested employees,, no one said a word,, once we had paid one of the 2 standing next to us asked if we needed a cart, 10 carts all sitting against the wall filled with items, not a single usable cart available, the lack of care was unbelievably insulting ...all for the crime of wanting to spend 600 , it was a digrace...needless to say if I ever need to shop at Lowes again which will never happen I'll drive to syracuse or ithaca

Google asks for a review because it knows I was there last week. I went out of necessity! When I renovated my family room, the flooring arrived milled missing the tongue of tongue and groove. New flooring was ordered and that buckled and came apart. On their "investigation" they blamed my installer and I had to rip out a floor and buy new hardwood elsewhere- a $5,000 loss to me. Their customer service and that decision shows they are cut-throat and in it for the buck. We have local family-owned options in the area. Avoid this big box store that doesn't care about the customer.

Only giving two stars for the cashier who helped me find the right unit and the price for the unit was good the negativity of this review falls upon the installation team. Do not go through Lowe's for installation at least not of a water heater. I purchased the water heater AND installation, they dropped off the water heater. did not call me or knock on my door to start the quote for installing. when I called the representative they said that someone didn't update my file to include the installation so they thought they were just delivering. after being transferred about seven times and put on hold God knows how many times; I finally got another representative who was just going to start a new service call and she told me that it would be $775 to install the new water heater. I told her that she could forget about it and I would figure it out. sure enough, I called around to about 10 different plumbers in my area. since I already have the new heater their prices ranged around $150 to $200. Been without water for 3 days, 4 months pregnant, and about ready to lose my mind.

Really good store, has a great variety of supplies for home improvement. Staff was very helpful in finding what I needed and I love the fact that they support our military. Almost gave 4 Stars only because there was at least 8 people in line with only 1 register open, not sure why, but the cashier was very speedy and go through the line in a decent amount of time. Will be going back due to the fact that their bath section, tubs, showers, ect., are a bit cheaper than Home Depot.
