I always like walking around GJ Penney looking at all the new clothes and other type items. I always check out the reduced area as well at the end of each season. People there are very very friendly.....

I used to shop here allot around the holidays. But today I went in and was followed around by a clerk who got too close and asked if I needed help finding anything. I had numerous items already and clearly needed no help. He obviously thought I was a shoplifter. I won't be going back because of that douche nozzle.

Whoa small location in a somewhat abandoned mall. The store itself is small and compact yet clean. The selections are small.We stopped in for their buy 1 pair of boots get 2 free special. Even though we didn't find anything we like, we will be back.

When I went into this store to get measured for the right size bra, I had to hunt down a lady that works there ,I asked her if she would help me and she did. Very nice lady!! She was so kind and thoughtful. She had ideas on bras that would be good for me. As we walked in this store ,we seen the price of different items .Everything. cost ALOT.very.pretty items threw this store.

I'm not a big shopper, but this last visit was a particularly good opportunity for good deals. I got 3 dress shirts for under 35 dollars. I also like the ability to use Google Pay at the checkout.

Friendly helpful employees. The store is small, but I always find something. My teenage granddaughters love to shop here. The place is very clean, free parking and has a really nice Dollar Tree in the same plaza.

Very neat and organized. JCP is my go-to for good quality clothing, although their Liz Claiborne line isn’t always as good as it used to be.

Not sure if Alice still works here or not but she was always helpful, and had a lovely dry sense of humor. The customer service reps here are usually pretty good. Store is always clean and pretty well stocked for the minimal they carry here. I wish they would expand a bit so that they could have more of a selection.

I'm not sure what's going on here anymore. The overpriced clearance section is overwhelming to even look at. Apparel stores have declined over the years. I hardly ever go there, but when I do I'm constantly remembering why. Personally, I would just skip over to Marshalls. The clothing is more stylish and reasonably priced.

Small store but love to shop. Love the skirts and tops. They have a wide variety and can get items online if they do not have your size. Drawback of Cortland store is its so small and you can not touch and feel if you buy on line. I would love to see a bigger store in my area. I go to Florida once a year and they have a nice size store.

I really appreciate having this store in Cortland. The sales and coupons make this my to go place. The sales girls make sure to let me know if something I want will be coming up in a sale. They are willing to answer questions with a great attitude.

I went shopping at this fine location Friday night. I could not decide wether or not to buy the charcoal gray polo, or midnight night black polo. One of your fine associates, Jacob Marsh, helped me pick my brand new shirt! He was helpful, attentive, and just a great person to be around.

Customer Service at it's best!Long story short. I volunteered to shop for our VFW Auxiliary to purchase flannel shirts for our Veterans at the Syracuse VA Hospital.The St. John's Bay super soft shirts were on sale for $17.99. Bought 20 at Cortland and purchased another 8 at the Auburn store, since the sale was ending. This was 9/6 and 9/7. I was so pleased with my purchases. I turned in my receipts and got reimbursed by the Aux. Treasurer. The following Friday the 13th! I stopped in at JCP in Cortland to check on sales in the ladies dept. As I was walking out the store, I glanced over and noticed the flannel shirts were now $16.99. $1 less. $28.00 less.! I was not happy! Our Treasurer went to the Cortland store and spoke to someone about the price reduction without much success. I called on the 17th shirtly after the stored opened and spoke with Andrea. She remembered me from the purchase of the 20 shirts for our Veterans. Andrea listened as I explained how the price went down even more and I wanted the savings. She asked for the receipt info and said she would check on it for me. She called back asking for more info. And even gave me her cellphone # so I could take a pic of a document she needed. She called back and told me that she re-rang all 28 shirts up for me 22 shirts rang up as $16.99 and 6 shirts actually rang up for $14.99! The savings was a difference of $54.72. Andrea worked on this for hours making this right! There isn't much Customer Service anymore with self checkouts and bagging, etc. What I thought was going to be a hassle, turned out to be a pleasant experience, thanks to Andrea! I'm sure our Veterans will love their super soft flannel shirts as the weather gets colder.

Tried to use curbside pick up. That was a fail. I was able to pick up inside. The store was full of merchandise and there were not too many shoppers. I did not feel uncomfortable shopping there. The staff was friendly and helpful
