This place used to always be one of my favorite spots to grab a sub. They were always quick and friendly with good prices for what you got. I’ve noticed quality slipping recently, always ordered an italian sub but their deli meat has been warm and slimy on the last few I’ve ordered so now I just get the buffalo chicken. However, today I called to order one buffalo chicken sub and they said to give them 30 minutes - whatever, maybe they’re busy, right? I get it. Now when I actually waited 30 minutes to get the sub I expected it to at least be worth waiting for and I’m not even picky. I know subs aren’t typically pretty but the photos can show you what I got home to. They dumped massive amounts of blue cheese I think? All over the top of the sub, I’m talking like two cups of this stuff. Really unhappy with Reliable lately.

As long as you go their while the food is fresh, it's delicious. Their mac and cheese tastes exactly like Panara Bread's, and they don't skimp on portions. You can tell the bread is fresh. By far, an equal with Schneider's

Lovely little small town grocery. It has the essentials, plus a little deli and kitchen in the back.They run a liquor store across the street as well, both as run by good folks.

Went for take-out. Fish fry advertised. It would have been a great Friday Fish Fry, too bad it was Sunday. ... Full price though.I won't make that mistake again.This place usually has very good food but I made a bad choice today which wasn't helped by the presentation.

Great grocery store. Great deli with cold and hot food, hot and cold subs, pizza, and more. I stopped in anytime I'm in the area.

Hidden gem! Great, fresh pizza, homemade thin, crispy crust and even homemade sauce!Excellent Philly steak sub and toppings! Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful staff.This store is easy to overlook in passing through Conklin, but well worth the visit!

The deli food is great, the daily subs are really good, boars head meat and cheese. Can't go wrong. Deff a great spot in Conklin to grab a bite to go!Update: new ownership but still the same great place, new coolers and added products, great drink selection!

Great pizza and they have Reading sodas .Birch beer, Ginger beer flavors are my 2 favorite. Good place to stop and grab some lunch.

Well, our 1st visit and we can NOT figure out 5-Star Reviews. We bought 2 (two) foot long subs (1 steak and cheese - 1 Reuben)...Hate to be honest but our subs were mediocre at best. Meats were skimpy (appeared to be weighed out AND SKIMPY). The "foot long" turned out to be more like a 9" to 10" Sub with the ends having NO meats/ NO fillings....just 1" to 1 1/2" bread,,,,,Very DISAPPOINTING - Very DISAPPOINTED....the truth IS the truth ! They could have at least spread out the contents...but it would have still been even more skimpy - MEDIOCRE IS THE WORD!!!

New owners ruined a good thing. Have gotten subs here for years but no more. Very little meat so not worth it. Young lady behind deli forgot to put my sub in bag. When I called, got nothing but attitude.

Use to love this place. Nowadays it is just a regular store. Just keep track of sales. Other than that, hopefully, the community will keep doing their best to keep shopping there.

The "fresh" ready to eat food is disgusting. On two occassions now I've bought macaroni salad with a good use by date from the deli and it's obviously way past it's expiration when the food has a tangy fermented taste. Once I got a slice of chicken bacon ranch pizza...it looked okay but was totally dried out and another waste of money. And their prices on everything are way too high. Ramen noodles for $2.50? Also, in the afternoons I've waited for ten minutes at the register hoping someone will come cash me out. I ring the bell. I wait. Obviously too busy chatting in the beer cooler. Deli workers see me standing at the front of the store waiting, guess they couldn't be bothered to find someone to help me. So I left empty handed and wasted my lunch break. Today I decided to give it one last try because it's convenient for my 30 minute lunch breaks. Never again. Threw away the macaroni salad. Waste of time and money!!

I haven't been for over a decade, but if they still do subs they are the best I've ever had anywhere, ever (worldwide and I'm not kidding). It's very nearly so good that it would be worth the cost and 3000 mile flight from England to get another one!Thank you for some amazing meals in the past, I have fond memories of both the shop and the food.

I have been going here since I was a very little girl. My family has always gotten the sheet pizza growing up. As an adult I have come here to carry on our family traditions and get sheet pizza and hot garlic wings every so often. I have never had a bad experience here but then again I only order the pizza and wings. I love them both and highly recommend the sheet pizza and wings special! It is well worth it!

Convenient and friendly. Prices a bit higher than chain stores but good selections. Don't believe the prices marked on the item. They will be considerably higher when you check out. 1/29/23 tried them today again. Prices at checkout were not as marked on the isle and increased by as much as $.65 per item. Try to watch as you check out. I have not figured out what Progresso soup is on sale. They all ring up at the highest price.

I go to Reliable for lunch from time to time. The city chicken is my favorite so far. The prices are great in the deli section. The other grocery prices are as expected in a small town market - a little inflated, but it's a small place and I wouldn't call their prices "outrageous" by any means. The staff is always pleasant and courteous.

Thankful for the comfort of a small town family owned business! Prompt and friendly customer service-their staff really try their best to give customers the service they expect.The pandemic brought isolation and new protocols, self checkouts and curbside picks for other businesses but I wanted to show appreciation and recognize a greater demand for personal customer service and human interaction. Having Reliable market in our community gives a true sense of home and comfort. The store, the staff are trustworthy, clean and go beyond expectations. I frequently depend upon these folks and their service that meets new and habitual needs with empathy, care and concern. I especially want to recognize the sweet and personable Carol. She’s a light, I’m always relieved and happy to see her cheerful greeting, smiling eyes, and helpful nature. You have to try “GiGi’s Banana Bread. And everyone’s favorite “City chicken”. I hope and pray that this is a small town business that stands against the changing times and continually thrives.

The Conklin Reliable market, while somewhat rough around the edges, is one of the more pleasant and convenient places in Conklin.Their fresh foods such as subs are amazing, their store has just the selection one would need in a fly, or maybe even a few days to a week depending on the person.But omg, the beer selection is great! The owner chooses multiple craft beers to sell, and the variety and pricing are excellent.

This place has gone downhill faster than I can imagine! My boyfriend and I went there for dinner one night because we didn't feel like cooking and we were STARVING.. we both got subs that come with sides. Our bread was hard as a rock, the meat and topping were CLEARLY old... and we also didn't receive ether sides.thought that it was just a one time thing, but the company that I work for often times orders lunch for everyone here and I decided to give it another try. This time some of us ordered subs and the other half of us ordered salads. I was one of the ones that ordered a cripsy chicken salad. I asked for no tomatoes and no cucumbers. My salad had both on it. Most of the salad was brown and had a slimy texture to it, and the chicken was also hard as a rock!! The people who ordered subs also complained that their bread was super hard.Not sure how this place is still running due to their lack of quality in their products and their young staff that could care less about anyone!!!They definitely lost our companies business for sure!!!

Nice little local grocery store, also has a deli and take out counter. Great pizza, hot and cold subs and salads. Deli counter has meats and cheeses by the pound. Good selection of items throughout the store. They also carry flowers and hanging baskets in the warmer months.

Great little grocery store. They have a deli in the back that serves great sandwiches and even makes their own pizza. Overall I give it five stars for being convenient to grab a snack or lunch while having access to a wide selection of grocery and household items. Not to mention their deli subs are delicious.

Customer service is lacking. Slow even at lunch.Found plastic pieces in chicken in pizza.I would never review a small business like this unless my experiences really have been terrible. It's close to work so the convenience is the reason, but it's worth the extra drive to Nirchi's for good customer service.

Go at 1:30 pm and the lunch special is dryed out .they don't have garlic knots that come with the meal. N they want to charge $2.50 more for 1(one) slice of bread to add to the meal. Then ordered: the two sandwich special , and after waiting for 35 minutes for them being told they will take another 25 minutes to make ( I'm the only one on line) then tell them by then my lunch half hour will be over as it is over now to be told: to bad , if you don't like how we do thing you can go somewhere else.... If John the owner is not there avoid going . No refund offered cause I couldn't wait any longer. Nor another sandwich offered. So 3 of us blew our lunch waiting. The woman's attitude is terrible. When John the owner is not there.... Even the quality of the food is not up to John's standing if he is not there. I recommend calling ahead to see if John is there to get eatable food.
