My dog is frightened of other dogs and strangers, so bringing her to a kennel is an emotional and draining experience.However, Buttercup was well-cared-for by the people at DBG. She especially loved Clever, who she bonded to very quickly. Knowing this gives me a tremendous sense of relief.We moved cross-country a year ago and we haven’t been able to find another kennel I trust like I trust this one.

My wife and I have been bringing our dogs to Doggy Be Good for years. Each time is a completely outstanding experience, our pups are always happy to go and spend time there. Recently, Mike has taken on some new staff, he goes out of his way to hire locally. I think its commendable that Mike works to introduce younger people into a segment of the animal care industry. These kids might very well be the next trainer, tech or vet in the neighborhood.The facility is always clean, well maintained and I've never seen a single thing that made me feel hesitant or apprehensive to leave my own pets there or suggest this business to a friend. If you're looking for a great trainer, groomer or a place to board your pup give Doggy Be Good a look, there are places out there that should give you concern, this however is definitely not one of them. I wish I could give them 10 stars!

Very accommodating and professional boarding service. We have an anxious beagle and they treated her really well, she looked happy to be there and did not look upset/nervous when they brought her to us during pickup! The manager and owner were very quick to respond to our questions and emails while we were taking the tour and during her stay. Looking forward to using their services again.

If I could give this place 1000 stars I would. So professional! I love their communication and the way they love on my Poppa while we’re away. I suffer from separation anxiety when I’m away from him but i can always call and check on him and they will make sure Before i hang up I’m at ease. I highly recommend 10/10

This place is amazing! My German Shepherd loved her week long stay here. It is very well staffed with personable caregivers that are experts at handling dogs. They are very organized and give a lot of personal attention to the dogs. They groomed my dog right before I picked her up. She came home happy, clean, and tired. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs a friendly, active, and safe place for their dog. The only con is that it’s not closer to my place in Brooklyn but it was a fairly easy drive and close to the BQE. I will certainly be taking my pup back :)

This is my third time bringing my dog to this place. I was so happy with the service and the great personnel specially with the gentleman was taking care of baby dog (grooming)Today Michael the owner said that I have to pay $106.00 for a small dog with 16 pound.From day one I brought him here I was told the price for a small dog is $90.00 this was about in May or June 2022 when I bring him for the first time and less than 6 months he raised the price up to $106.. This is my last time bringing my dog in here the fact of the lies from this place sad because the service is great but don’t abuse with the prices. Michael keep your customers happy NOT unhappy.

Had a very pleasant experience boarding our dog Beau. The staff were friendly and professional. The kennel was well maintained and the owner Mike offered helpful hints to make Beau's quality of life better as he is an anxious dog. We will be using Doggy Be Good again to board Beau.

Mike and his staff are EXCELLENT! You can truly see that they LOVE dogs and treat them as their own. I highly recommend Mike and all the wonderful people who work there. Good energy and my dog Beau truly enjoyed. Also very REASONABLY PRICED!!!

Always a great experience for my 2 pitbulls that are my family and my cane Corso. I have been bringing my dogs here for years and no concerns because the owner knows what he is doing! His staff know what they are doing. The staff love my pets as I do. My dogs are happy there even though they miss “their kids” lol. The dogs are never gross or mistreated. The staff has given me updates about my dogs because they are active in the day to day operations and know how to run a Good Business. Customer service is 5 star. Proof is in the pudding go by and see for yourself. It’s in a good neighborhood in Queens not in some sketchy hood area. This should speak for itself. The prices are more than fair and you know you will come back to a happy and healthy pet. My wife found the boarder years ago and it’s professional. For anyone in NYC they I am sure have experienced a bad business this is wonderful business that will be around because of the quality. Thank you from me my wife and kids and the dogs are cooking out after being cared for by the staff here. Any negative reviews I would NOT believe. Again look for yourself ask questions and you will see what I mean.

Michael was recommended to us through a friend. We couldn't be happier with his input and guidance with our new puppy. He is clearly dedicated to these dogs and his clients. He is always available for consult, and always returns our calls, Hr knows these animals and gave us the tools to correct unwanted behavior. Michael tells you how it is, he is a no nonsense trainer. Highly Recommended!!

I brought my 2 dogs to Doggy Be Good for a grooming and was very very pleased with the results. My dogs were beautifully washed and trimmed, and their nails were manicured, ears were very clean. They smelled absolutely wonderful. They were extremely playful when I picked them up showing me that they were well taken care of. Owners were very nice and personable. They showed much attention to my dogs. And also gave them a treat. My dogs were very comfortable with them and I had no problem leaving them. I will be back for their grooming and hospitality...Very recommended!!.

Unfortunately, I do NOT recommend Doggy Be Good. I really wanted to like this facility due to their spacious kennels, however my experience was terrible. When I picked up my two dogs, after a five night stay, they were soaked in urine. It was dripping off of them as well as dried in their fur, and they reeked, which is clearly unacceptable conditions for any dog to be in. I have boarded my dogs numerous times at other facilities and they have never come home even smelling of urine. I was also not informed of this prior to pick up, where at the very least I would’ve been able to pay for them to have baths. Instead I was forced to put them into my car and walk them through my house in that condition. It was so bad I asked the employee at pickup if they had just gotten a bath and not been dried, due to the fact they were both soaked. After getting closer and realizing it was urine, the employee was unapologetic and did not offer any remedy to the problem. I’d highly advise boarding your dogs anywhere else.

Never like to put our dog in a kennel, but when we must we would never consider any other place. Michael the owner and his staff are absolutely phenomenal with the dogs they board. Everybody is polite, professional and their love for dogs shines thru. Excellent kennel

So I'd like to start with saying TERRIBLE.I have 4 dogs all diff shapes & sizes.Grooming- is 12mins (they splash your dog w water)then have the nerve to return the dog damp.So they can stink again, & ultimately returnfor more grooming.Boarding- I boarded my dog here, left him with 15 days of foodfor a 10 day stay & did not recieve anything back.Also the dog was returned to me malnourished.The dogs are dealt with by 12 year old volunteers with minimal to no adult supervision.the owner mike likes to talk a big onetells you what you want to hear , okays & yes' you to death.say they know how to deal with all dog temper casesthey "treat all dogs"this is a lieas your dog will receive no physical contact, treatment or play

I had to travel for over a month and was really worried about where to leave my 2 Cane Corsos. Mike and the team over at Doggy be good where amazing. I just picked up my dogs and you can tell that they where treated so good and in a loving environment. I recommend them to anyone who is picky as to where and with who they leave their dogs these guys are truly professional at what they do. Love the fact that each dog has its own space to play and sleep. We are so happy with them will be using their services again. @vichingocorsos

My dogs were butchered. The choppy haircut that was given looked horrible. We spent 205 dollars for two dogs that weren’t even bathed. It’s a ghetto spot, in the backyard of someone’s house. Do not recommend. Run the other way. They take dogs without vaccines, unsafe. Do not take your dogs here!

Hands down, if you love your dog you will bring them here. I have an almost 4month old GSD/LAB mix who is a little nervous about people, but within a half hour of meeting with Mike and his team my pup opened up to strangers in the most playful way ! And on top of it I was taught wrongly by other trainers how to train my pup and within 24hours of speaking with Mike and bringing Riley in shes already opening up so much more! I wish I knew all the names of those who played and got Riley comfortable because they are all amazing and so kind and caring of Riley and myself. On the way home from our meeting Riley even went up to a conedison worker and started playing with him ! I can't thank Mike and his team enough for the confidence you have given me to raise a beautiful friendly pup ! I know Riley is in great hands 💖

From the friendly staff, to the expert groomer and the more than accommodating & friendly owner/operator, Mike, there is nowhere better. Mike genuinely cares for the well being of all the dogs at his facility and always goes above and beyond.

We just picked up our fur baby Trooper after her 2nd stay at Doggy Be Good this summer. First visit was for 2 weeks and this one was for 1 week. Both times she looked very happy at pick up and we are sure she had a fantastic time! I want to add that she was here during the bad rain storm and the owner took excellent care of the dogs in such a crazy storm. I’m sure Trooper will be happy to come back soon. I just started boarding my dog with Doggy Be Good this place is AMAZING! Mike and the staff immediately greeted me and my dog and made us feel happy and welcome I could tell my dog was excited to be there. Upon my return from my vacation my dog was clearly happy and excited and didn’t want to leave. We utilized the grooming service as well and my dog looked and smelled amazing. I would give this place ten stars if I could!

🐶🐶 I gave his facility five stars. They are really dog lovers. They really understand and know how to take care of my dog. My dog is 15 years old and he needs attention . He needs to get his medicine his food at a certain time and they did everything that I told them to do. The facility is clean. It has enough space for your dog to play around to do his business . And of course is heated so you dog won’t be cold and you don’t have to worry about your dog if you’re away on a trip . And you could always call and there’s always someone there to answer your call. There were plenty of staff. I didn't feel like my pups were neglected or didn't get enough attention. Each pup gets their own section both indoors and out. You can even ask that they put both your pets in the same kennel.Owners were very enthusiastic and obvious dog lovers.Would highly recommend this place for people needing to board their pets.

Mike and the entire staff at Doggy Be Good are exceptional. We’ve trusted Mike first with our girl Kiki who he trained brilliantly and now with our boy Rickie. We’ve been with Mike since he opened many years ago and wouldn’t trust our dogs with anyone else. Simply the best.

I wanted to drop my dog off for boarding for a mini vacation but found the facilities to be very run down and unsafe for dogs. I have brought my dog to different boarding facilities across town and was really hoping to find a nice place in my neighborhood that I could support instead of bigger chains elsewhere.The kennels are tiny and the “private outdoor space” it’s just a concrete kennel surrounded by wired fence with plenty of holes in it to get claws, paws and snouts stuck in/hurt. The staff were all very friendly but also very young (underage?) and clearly not professionally trained which you could see when they tried CHASING my clearly terrified dog from one crate to another and grabbing her by the fur trying to get a hold of her. I wouldn’t trust them to take care of her even for a night as they were figgety and nervous and really seemed not to know what they were doing.The overweight and barking dogs already in the kennels also did not strengthen my confidence in the environment at that place. Left there pretty traumatized and astonished that anyone would actually pay money to leave their dog there.

Training...I rescued a boxer and pit bull mix from North Shore. My dog, Jamie, was very difficult to handle. Mike had me bring my dog out to his facility and gave me some basic training help. Jamie still has issues with other animals and people who come too close to me, but at least now he is manageable. Plus, considering that Jamie does not" warm up" to.most people, he liked Mike. I recommend this place to anyone needing help with behavior.
